We stay at this hotel each time we come to El Nito. The views are wonderful from the balcony. The bed is extremely comfortable. The shower has very good water pressure. The staff are always attentive, kind, and eager to help. The pool on the roof has spectacular views of the sunset. Best hitel in El Nito!!!!

Great staff and great location

Air conditioner doesn't work well. Too hot. Food is very limited. Staff is great, however.

Great location, very close to the town, you can walk and explore the town by foot but we took the tricycle to explore the beaches. I love the design of the place, had used the rooftop pool at night which is great to get cool. The free breakfast also fantastic which caters to both local and tourist palate. The best thing in this hotel, is the STAFF. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They arranged all our bookings from airport pickup to our island hopping tour, transportation to different beaches and even our booking to Jomalia Ferry for our trip to Coron. We were also greeted with welcome drinks and shell necklace. Great souvenirs. The hotel might not be a 5 star accommodation but the staff makes it like 5 star. And before I forget, the view across the hotel is a beautiful rock formation, reminds me of Yosemite. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

The hotel location is beautiful even if not by the sea. The only caution is that there are no dining options at a walkable distance so make sure to check the closing hours for dinner

Service was very good starting at the Guests Relations Desk, Dining Services, Transportation to Housekeeping. The Staff are very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Foods were good. Reservations of tours were easy due to help of the staff. We can highly recommend this property to our friends & family who will be visiting El Nido in the future.

Staff was accommodating and very helpful

The pool was great, please note that they don't allow external drinks and food.
Our view unfortunately looked out on to the neighbouring properties where we could see people sleeping outside in their shacks, therefore we left the curtains closed the entire time.
The location is about 15 minute walk to the main strip of El Nido, this very difficult to walk during summer.
During the majority of our stay the Wifi didn't work and they couldn't tell us when it would be back.
After a lot of complaining we were compensated slightly for wifi outage.

It was strange that while you had to pay a security bond, you are unable to book dining or room service to your room. This was a bit frustrating at times. The staff were all friendly, and the rooms were great. Location is great and transport easy to everywhere. While it was a great stay, im not sure I’d return at this price point.

From the time we arrived and entered the lift to go to our rooms there was an awful smell which can only be described as cheese and sweat which isn’t great in heat.
There was smeared hand marks all over the lift which just wasn’t a great first impression.
The smell actually made me sick on arrival to our room in which I then took the stairs for the remainder of the trip.
We booked two rooms, first room was sticky with lots of fruit flies and the second had brown marks on the sheets and overall room felt dirty so they moved us.
The second room was no better, channels on the tv didn’t work, air con leaking on the floor creating puddles of water making it a hazard for the little one.
The sheets and towels again were meant to be white but looked grey from being old, we had to anti bac all switches as there was black finger prints left all over them.
Sticky white residue on the telephone buttons.
Chewing gum behind the head board.
My mothers room was the same, just with a connecting door which lead to room that was not in use but the connecting door was unlocked aswell as the front door so anyone could enter my mothers room which did not feel safe.
After requesting a refund as i felt scammed with what i had booked we was told we had to wait for the following day for a manager.
They offered to move us for the third time which felt pointless as from what we saw all rooms were of the same standard, awful!

Amazing staff, amazing service, amazing food. Couldn't ask for much more.

The room space was a bit tight, but I will say the staff are all very kind! The cleaning service is awesome - they place everything back to where it was and evident they clean. I will say though that this property is equivalent to a traditional western style hotel without any additional “bells”. I would not say this is luxury. Just comfortable. The main reason though to pick this is the location and walkability. Quick walk to the canopy walk, meeting destination for boat tours, restaurants, grocery store, and a quick tricycle to maremegmeg beach! Location for us was spot on and Made everything easier when traveling with a large group (we were 6-no kids). Food breakfast was subpar. Although there was food warmers the food was cold. We also booked 1 full private beach day(Nacpan/lio/maremegmeg) and a private round trip transfer to Puerto Princesa. No complaints — were both smooth!

During our 4 nights stay, the room hasn't been cleaned. We had to ask on our last day to change bedsheets and towels. Very bad smell all over the property. Mould smell in the room. Staff not really welcoming, the only two nice and friendly persons were the receptionists. Nice location but it needs improvements regarding cleanliness, from the windows, the lift, the doors, to all communal areas.

Nice staff, good hotel, fair price and lived the pool and bar location. Needed a little more parking or options to park and be picked up

This is my 3rd time at this property. Location is perfect. Not far from all the action and not right in the middle of the crowded area. Everything is close by and are walking distance ie grocery 3mins walk, restaurants, beach 10mins etc.

Hôtel is much better in pictures than in reallity, lobby , breakfast and pool are perfect, 5 minutes walk to to town. Now the room are dated, and the damp smell is awfull. We had few rooms on different floors and all had the same issue. . Been traveling to Asia for a long time and this is the first time it happen. I would understood that issue in a cheaper hotel but from the rates they are charging it’s unacceptable. When back in el nido will book somewhere else

For the nightly rate paid, would expect a free capuccino like I got in Manila. Pool is good, bed not as comfy and constant motorcycle noise so helps to being earplugs.
BBQ was abut of a rip off where askinf us to pre purchas a ticket for very minimal value of picking off pretty uch the restaurant menu and paying the difference. Plumbing also smelt bad in last two days.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not enjoyable despite the staff's efforts to find solutions for us. Upon arrival, we were assigned room 507, which had water damage and excessive humidity (making it difficult to breathe). Regrettably, we had no choice but to stay in this room as the hotel was fully booked. The next day, we moved to room 211, which was also humid and had a water issue (yellow water with a terrible odor). My daughter suffered skin burns after taking a shower. This problem was resolved after two and a half days (we were unable to shower and had to use the pool shower). Additionally, they refused financial compensation, claiming they changed our room on the first night. We were very disappointed with the slow response, the incompetence of the maintenance technician, and the lack of communication with management. Hotels.com attempted to help, but unfortunately, we faced obstacles. The hotel has humidity problems, and our view is of a shanty town (on the back side). Furthermore, the room is tiny and not suitable for four people; it has two single beds instead of two double beds. The toilet is small and lacks towels, as does the shower. They provided a dehumidifier to reduce humidity, but unfortunately, it was quite noisy, so we had to turn it off. The breakfast was mediocre, with limited food options available.

The property stands out in terms of aesthetic. It’s really pretty from the outside and prettier when you see the interior. It’s very modern yet you will feel at home because of the furniture made of local materials. The staff is exceptional. Bambi and Richmond made our stay unforgettable. They were very accommodating and very friendly. They made sure we’re comfortable during our stay. I will definitely go back.

smell of humidity in our room but the room was clean et excellent restaurant and good breakfast

Great hotel in terms of location and staff. The room was spacious for 5 people. However, the room especially the shower is not super clean. If you are a clean freak I would be weary. But if you’re okay with convenience and closeness to the town I would stay here.

Good location - clean room - good overall

Lagun Hotel exceeded our expectations. We had read some negative online reviews and were concerned about smell, mould etc based on those reviews. I contacted the hotel prior to arriving to seek assurance prior problems were resolved. On arrival we were pleased to enjoy a modern, clean and fresh hotel and room. Its location is good. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Also helped book fantastic boat tours. Only negative was they dont supply drinking water for the rooms - have to go out and buy it. Overall was better than we expected.

The check in was a welcomed one. The restaurant was a good experience with decent food. The facility wasn’t clean. There were mosquitoes in the room. The WiFi wasn’t good. You couldn’t watch any tv unless you link your mobile device to it. Overpriced with the laundry service. When you receive your clothes from the laundry service, the clothes return to you worse than how you gave them. Unclean and very wrinkled. I will never stay here again.

Nice hotel in a good location. Walking distance to the busy streets, just far enough to be more quiet than the rest. Essentially there was nothing wrong with the hotel/rooms, but a bit of renovation will be needed soon. Had a great stay, extremely helpful and friendly staff - will recommend it.
