Weekend getaway with my wife in one of our favourite cities. Absolutely loved the loft! Everything was perfect. Cool vibe, roomy, perfect location, spotless, and admittedly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Have already booked my next stay.

Maison Kent is in an very old historic building just steps from Chateau Frontenac in the heart of Old Quebec and walking distance to a ton of restaurants, shoppes etc. in both Lower and Upper Quebec. Could not be a more ideal location. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, with excellent ambience & feel. Small cafe on main level for take away but not to sit. However, terrace outside the Frontenac Starbucks had good coffee and croissants, and great view of St Lawrence. High marks for this and new wing under construction.
However the check in process was awful. The hotel sent Check-In instructions the day before arrival but if you are not able to check email that process fails, and NO ONE at the check in desk til 3 (or 4?) PM, and no one answers the phone number given in the sign at the door, and there is NO PLACE TO LEAVE LUGGAGE IF YOU ARRIVE early. we sat nearly 2 hours in the stairwell and finally had to call HOTELS.COM to have them call the hotel and let us in. Hotels.com staff were very apologetic but still to wait for Kent staff to arrive. we had already paid the room so could not decamp elsewhere.
Also, style over function. The shower was beautiful but its pan was treacherous when wet - slipped & nearly fell, and NO grab-bar on the walls. Needs more attention to minor details like that which could easily ruin a vacation.

In the old Quebec City - this is a great location to stay.

Only thing wrong with this place is the bath door that does not fit well and hits something everytime you try to open after being closed if you can get it to stay closed

Check in was difficult to get the keys and the initial keys didn’t work - But good had a person on phone that could call and helped

good place BUT there was a tapping noise in the morning which didn’t give us enough sleep

Property said they had laundry but when arrived it directed us to a laundromat 500 m away. Thank goodness we asked because there was one onsite. We tried to have a package delivered and they told us where to send it but no one answered the door for fedex or us when we stopped by to get it. The tv went out but since there is no reception, we had a hard time getting it fixed. No instructions on how to get more coffee pods. The location was great.

Great stay! Perfect location and beautiful room. The only thing we would recommend would be a memory foam mattress topper for the sofa bed but otherwise great.

Great location in Old Quebec City, right on one of the main streets. It is close to everything!

Loved the property, cleanliness. Wish communication was better in terms of when we would receive instructions on access to the building. Also instructions on how to use the air conditioner would have helped but besides that..... Really great experience. Will be back.

This is a LOFT property located in a great vicinity with shopping, dining, and, bus trips within walking distance. I gave it a 3 rating because we did not know there is no service during the stay. It does come with a hot plate and dishes if you want to cook yourself. No new towels or coffee pods delivered unless you ask for them. We were located in the basement with rock walls. There were lots of rock and mortar on the counter behind the coffee maker and the floor. We needed to wipe our feet off before getting in bed. Our stay was great and it all worked out. We just weren’t prepared.

Overall, our stay was nice. If you want to be in the heart of old/upper Quebec City, the location of La Maison Kent – Par les Lofts is excellent. Unfortunately, from the moment we booked, we encountered communication issues. Surprisingly, considering we were visiting a tourist spot, the first confirmation email received was written entirely in French. As a Spanish speaker (& some Italian), sure I understand bits and pieces, but technically, I do not speak French. Luckily, we live in a day and age where we have translators on our phones. In a second email we were notified that since it was a last minute booking, we had to go to the main office to process payment & complete the transaction. After traveling since 3:30 am, this was a major inconvenience, plus we had to spend extra money to cab over to the main office vs going straight to our reserved loft. Finally, contrary to most of my research about the locals having the ability or willingness to meet non-French speakers half way in regards to language barriers, we were met with much resistance from some of the La Maison Kent staff (& other locals in the tourist areas), which seemed quite counterintuitive. If you work in a tourist spot, you have to expect encounters with people from all over the world who do not speak the local language. Anyway, going full circle, would I stay there again? Yes, the location was stupendous.

The location was fantastic! The room was spacious and well appointed. The only downside was that the room was not very soundproof; the neighboring room and room above us were very loud, we could hear footsteps and voices in the evenings.

Perfect location immediately next to Chateau Frontenac and in the best spot in Old Quebec. One of the only underground parking lots is right across tho street which has EV charging (slow, but it works). The small shop on the first floor has amazing ice cream which we had each night before turning in. The hotel was great.

Premium location within Old Quebec, easy walking distance to everything! Parking for a rental car is usually quite convenient but it was expensive and a challenge this particular trip due to the FEQ Festival schedule. All in all, though it was a great second stay for us!

The location of this property was fantastic!!! We loved how we could walk everywhere in Vieux Québec! The lock box check in process was easy by using the directions sent via email. Calling the phone number for help was simple and the operators were always very helpful! The room was spacious and accommodated our family of 4 wonderfully. Great linens and bathroom products! We would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends for their visit.

The walls of this building are about as old as they come in Canada - 1648! The building has been beautifully updated on the inside while still containing some of that ancient charm. Super close to everything!

Very nice, very clean property in the heart of old town Quebec City. Easy access to restaurants and many points of interest. There are several parking garages nearby if you have a vehicle and the rates a reasonable. This apartment is highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location. So many great restaurants and unique shopping within east walking distance.
The property itself is so clean and comfortable. Very modern bathroom and kitchen. Have already recommended it to friends and will stay here anytime we are in Quebec.

The only setbacks is there’s no luggage storage at all. If you arrive earlier than 4 pm or depart later than 11 am, there’s no storage for your luggage at all at the hotel. It was very inconvenient!!

The mansion and room was stunningly restored and renovated. The location is as perfect as you could hope for without landing in the Chateau itself, and after touring the Chateau, a much better room with way less foot traffic. You can easily walk to all the local sites and food options right from the mansion.

This is a beautiful property (at least the penthouse was) in a beautiful location. The onsite attendant was not as available as i would like and i did not ever get an email with codes so the process could be better but the property is great. The parking is offsite but certainly convenient.

Personal was rude and poor service to none on site. We ask to temporary receptionist for a taxi and clearly was annoyed we interrupted her instagram chatting and the cleaning lady couldn’t wait for us to leave before the check out time so she can finish her shift early. Very noisy we hear people walking over our head constantly and screaming talking rolling their baggages in the corridors and no control cause no staff on site. Although the room is well decorated and clean, i will never go back and do not recommend this place.

We were a group of six friends and rented two rooms in this historic building, once a British consulate. The room was spacious with high ceilings, brand new bathrooms and a sweet galley kitchen. We could never figure out the coffee maker so went out to charming little restaurants, which we totally enjoyed. The location of this hotel is amazing, accessible to all sorts of beautiful tourist highlights. The check-in system and getting your room key was quite different from what we are accustomed to in the US, but it is probably the future and we managed, LOL! I would highly recommend this property. Quebec City is an amazing and beautiful place to visit.

Good location & nice studio loft. Horrible service, poor staff communication. For the price to rent, i had to take out the trash literally to dumpster. If there was early check in there was an added $60 fee, no storage for luggage, no room cleaning nor turndown service. When room items were asked for most staff had a bad attitude. Cafe on 1st floor is rarely open & only monolingual french. Highly suggest staying somewhere else.
