Great experience

This is a fantastic hotel which is certainly value for money. Nicely decorated with plenty of amenities and best of all a very central location. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was great!

The first negative issues was the little cube fridge didn’t stay cold , barely cold enough for bottled Secondly, the air filter didn’t stay on for more than 10 minutes and wouldn’t turn back on after many tries. I never found the remote if there was one.

Room was way too small, absolutely no space to put suitcases. You have to wait to available laundry machine. When washing and drying cycle is done the clothes are still damp but there is no space to dry them in the room

The room was very comfortable, clean and, by Japanese standard, spacious. However, some hotel staff could not communicate in English efficiently. Some young staff, though speaking English sufficiently well, just treated guests in a bussiness-like manner without any warmth or smiles. I think hotel management really have to put in more training efforts to instil some passion in their staff.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, situated close to major attractions and public transport, making it an ideal base for exploring Kyoto. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed provided a restful night's sleep, and the bathroom amenities were of high quality. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary toiletries and the efficient use of space within the room. The staff were outstanding—always welcoming, friendly, and ready to assist with any request. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. One area for improvement is the TV. It would be great if future upgrades included smart TVs that allow guests to stream services like Netflix. This small enhancement would add to the overall comfort and convenience. Overall, my stay at Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. I look forward to returning on my next trip!

Kyoto station was close by. Family mart less than 5 minutes away. Staff friendly and spoke good English. The public bath was a plus. Will definitely stay here again if given the chance

We loved staying here. It was in between stations. Very walkable. A Family Mart pretty much next door. The staff was friendly, room was so nice and the bath was a plus. Would highly recommend.

The hotel was more than what my wife and I expected. Since you get to the front desk you know that your stay it's going to be spectacular! The onsen after a long day of tourism is something else. Definitely when I return to Kyoto I will stay here

I and my friend left the luggae with the reception separately earlier in the day before check-in time, and was given two blue luggage identification cards separately. When we checked in in the evening, my friend took her luggage first, then the reception staff refused to give me my luggage as he assumed I and my friend were using the same luggage. After my persistence and request repeatedly, the reception staff finally realized he made a mistake and gave me back my luggage. I find it difficult to understand why he would assume I and my friend would be sharing one luggage given we had two blue luggage identification cards.

Highly recommend staying here as a base for exploring Kyoto. Room was very nice and clean and bigger than your average Japanese accommodation, could actually open our suitcases on the floor instead of temporarily on the bed. Wish we had booked longer there and just did day trips to Osaka

This was first time ever in Japan and my stay exceeded my expectations. All the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Ill be sure to learn Japanese the next time i book so i can express how much i appreciate the staff. Great experience!

Hotel located about 20mins walk to the Kyoto station. It's walkable to some of the attractions and shopping districts. Check in was fast. Hotel provides cups for filling water and we can borrowed iron which are located next to the lift. There are also vending machines selling drinks and ice creams near the public bath on the first floor. Housekeeping is impressive. They helped us put a lid over the cups filled with water.

Stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Great location and excellent facilities. There is a microwave on the first floor and fridge in the room. The bathroom facilities are awesome. I used the coin laundry and could actually see the timer on my room TV to see how long was left. Check in and check out very smooth for English speaker. I also scored an amazing deal so keep an eye on the price. I booked around 3 months out from my stay.

Stayed at Keio for 3 nights. It was wonderful because of the friendly staff, clean room and spa. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Only downside is that it is a tad far from the downtown area of Kyoto but makes up for in quietness.
