Beautiful view and friendly staff. I didn’t like the bathroom set up where there is no separation between the shower and the toilet. Insects were all over.

The room needs a lot of upgrades & improvements. Not recommended until they upgrade/improve the room.

The amazing part of the stay is the beach view and corals. However, the hotel has some bed ticks and dusty. Aircon is not functioning well. Episode of power outage that lasted almost an hour.

Spectacular view, staff were very warm and attentive. Food served at their restaurant was top quality and delicious. Amenities were not bad. A truly hidden gem!

We enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. We arrived late on our check-in date but the staff were really helpful and made our check-in as quick as possible as we travelled almost a day to get to Pagudpud. We contacted their front office staff and gave instructions for check-in. We rented their villa as there were 7 of us. The room was big, clean, had sufficient air conditioning facilities and hot water for showers. There were two floors at the villa and it was spacious, ideal for those travelling with many large suitcases. The resort is by the cliffs/sea so views during breakfast are really nice. Staff were friendly especially manang who worked at the restaurant during dinner time. They also went beyond expectations by helping prepare fruits and veggies for our vegetarian family member (even let us store our shop-bought fruits in their fridge) Overall, everyone was helpful and made our stay enjoyable and hassle free.

Needs renovations. Too secluded without enough on-site amenities to make up for it. Great cook at the on-site restaurant. Friendly staff. No wifi. Blackouts are regular. Insects and critters in the room.

The only thing that was good at this property was the Staff and the surrounding scenery. The rest the property was run down and in need of a total overall. Why you sell rooms in the hotel beats me. I thought Expedia had certain standards.

Honestly the place is a bit old, but the great service by the staff and the location/views make up for it. The food is one of the better options around the area. Overall, a pleasant experience.

We reserved for 7 but only got a room for 6 beds and was not informed by either by Hotle.com or their hotel that the room was only for 6 and they were charging us additional 600 for an extra bed. Fortunately the nice front desk receptionist asked for management approval which gave us access to the vacant room in our villa. They were very nice but failed to check their equipment as they gave us defective plastic chairs in which broke while my husband was sitting on it. All they could do was say sorry. No Wifi signal and no cable tv so it was a pleasant isolation stay for those who want to get away... from technology. It was not a good place for swimming in Salud beach as we were lead to think because the beach front was rocky and not fit for swimming. we had to go to another resort to swim. The place was worn down and not improved much and was quite far. This is a good place for those who have pet dogs who can run the vast grassy area in the pre,uses.

Excellent place for relaxation, very spacious ground. It combines nature and carefully blend with the development - the true essence of Ecotourism!

Looking for peace and quiet with no electronic disturbance? This is the place! We arrived late at night (call if you're checking in after 10pm). It was dark, but the staff checked us in, showed us our rooms and even brought water to us! The next morning we were delighted by the beautiful sunrise over the ocean and the look of the grounds. The grass is well-maintained and the buildings are in good shape. Breakfast was amazingly good!! The room itself was very clean and the water was warm in the shower. It was SO relaxing to spend time here. This property is now on my list of yearly visits. I can't wait to go back. Thank you thank you for the hospitality, delicious food and wonderful time we had!!

The place is a delight. Thank heavens we stayed there and not near the main Pagudpud beach. Idyllic - beautiful view, very well maintained grounds, friendly and attentive service from all concerned. The small beach gives access to a very sheltered stretch of water inside the rocks with a great selection of fish to watch - mask and snorkel essential! Sleeping in a villa, with the windows open and only insect screens between us and the sight, sound and smell of the sea so near was so soothing. Only wish we could have stayed longer. One suggestion only for an improvement - if there were reading lamps by the bed and on the balcony, it would be just about perfect.
