Everything about Chateau de la Gaude was exceptional, including the initial reception, the exquisite grounds, the warm and spacious guest suite, and the outstanding restaurant options (including a Michelin star restaurant)!
Can't find fault with any aspect of Chateau de la Gaude!
Would highly recommend this property to any/all of our friends!!!

Most beautiful setting I’ve ever been to. Classy and elegant chateau with modern art twist inside and out. Art was spectacular. It was my birthday, beautiful flowers were waiting in the room and absolutely amazing cake with champagne.
We stayed in deluxe room with gorgeous views which is worth an upgrade. The room was large with super comfortable bed. Great size bathroom with make up mirror. Ironing and washing service available on the request which is very handy. Beautiful gardens around the chateau perfect for little walks. Nice size pool which wasn’t overcrowded and spa available.
We had wine tasting which was short but perfect just to try local wine without spending all day away.
All staff from the hotel, restaurants, pool and cleaning ladies were absolutely amazing. Very friendly, helpful and professional without being snobby and over the top which made perfect atmosphere for a such a beautiful classy place.
We had dinner at le art and kaiseki, both tasting menus which are must if you love good food and
beautiful spaces even if you not staying at the chateau. 10mins drive away from the centre of Aix makes it perfect location, transport can be arranged by the chateau.
Two Michelin keys well deserved.
We definitely will be coming back in the future.

For a hotel listed under the Relais & Château organization it felt way short of our expectations: for the price we paid for the room it was extremely confining and no place to store our belonging and having to live out of our luggage the whole stay. Check in summarized what the current culture of the place is: pretentious but poor service . I was made to wait since there was no one to attend us when we arrived; in addition arriving by car we had to park a distance from the reception area with steps and cobble stoning surface and no one to help. When I asked for the general manager to handle this pathetic reception he was very apologetic and offered us a free dessert out of their limited and outrageously expensive menu!!! For what we were charged, breakfast as is commonly included in hotel stays in Europe was not included! Our room was extremely small , very nice bed and beautifully appointed bathroom but this is as far as I can be positive about La Goude
When I returned one day to the reception , the attendant asked me how my stay was going and I laid it out honestly with the intention of bringing my concerns( which obviously felt way short of what they pretend to offer and he agreed with my criticism!)
The premise is beautiful . Provence is such an amazing place to be and enjoy, sadly our experience at La Goude left us with a sad feeling of being fooled and gouged as visitors to this beautiful part of France

One of the most beautiful hotels in Provence if not in France. Great location, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, great restaurants and cellars, everything is thought through to make your stay unforgettable!

Amazing setting, and warm welcome from staff. Room very large and extremely comfortable. Very marked rug round bed, not sure why they hadn’t cleaned it as looked awful. Pool area is great with comfortable beds. Food at pool wasn’t great had a club sandwich €40 and they ran out of included French fries and sandwich was awful. Bread terrible and whole thing made us unwell so couldn’t eat in the evening. Restaurants are very specialist and not all open every evening. No access to the formal gardens which I couldn’t understand? So if you think you will have a true ‘chateau experience’ then this is not quite the case. But the area is very beautiful and property very comfortable. Wine tasting was very informative and good experience so make sure you take up the free offer.

Amazing hotel but very unaccomadating with requests, no early check in and wanted to charge €100 to keep the room on for an hour past check out, other than that the hotel is incredible

The nature was very beautiful. Art work was very unique.
However room service was none. No toilet paper. Had to ask for every item, like towels, soap shampoos

wow, this is one of the most beautiful properties and settings we have been too. The grounds are impeccable, and our room was stunning, enormous and well decorated with modern furniture mixed with french chateau like moldings and Louis Vuitton vintage luggage for a very high vibe. The bathroom was very high tech and high end as well. We were in suite 1, probably the best view and room in the entire hotel, unless there is another suite above us. The restaurants were all unique and offered great ambiance and choices as well, and all food we had was delicious. Our only complaint would be the service at the restaurants is lacking in timing, cleaning up used tables, and attentiveness. The level of service did not match the otherwise 6 star hotel.

Gorgeous property. On3 of the best places we have ever stayed. And we travel pretty extensively at high end hotels. The grounds, staff and accommodations are all exquisite. And the mix of ancient architecture and modern art is beautiful.
Will return for sure.

The property itself is exquisite and well maintained. Gregoire and the staff were all excellent and very accommodating and the room had all the amenities we were looking for. We stayed in the chateau itself and the one complaint we had was that the main door to the chateau is very large and makes quite a bit of noise that reverberates throughout the building when people don’t guide it closed (which is most of the time). In addition, the gastronomic restaurant is also in the same building and when they are cleaning up after dinner service this also can be heard throughout the building up until about midnight. Otherwise, the chateau is quite central and easy to get to other vineyards (Chateau La Coste is excellent), Aix en Provence, Cassis (highly recommended). Enjoy!

Everyone was super kind and helpful. The place was not to mention full of beauty. Turndown service was also very nicely done. Only downside was family suite does not have a livingroom and has only one toilet which i did not know in advance.

We travelled all through south of France and Chateau de la Gaude was one of the most beautiful places we stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and clean with high ceilings and newly renovated bathrooms. The grounds and gardens offer many secluded spots to walk to and sit there with a book. Our room window opened to a beautiful view of the manicured garden and fountains. the Michelin star restaurant on the terrace facing the French gardens is an amazing addition to the chateau. We also enjoyed the heated pool and the wine tasting offered at the chateau ( they produce 6 different wines at the estate)Overall we highly recommend this hotel.

This is a relatively new property in Aix with immaculate grounds and a limited set of rooms. The grounds feature some cutting edge modern art. The food at the restaurants was outstanding. The only negative was that our check-in which was assured for 3 pm was delayed and did not occur till 3.45 pm. They were understaffed on the day of our arrival. It takes about 15 mins by Uber to the center of Aix and maybe 25 mins to get to its more famous neighbor Chateau La Coste....
