Ok except noisy pipes could be heard in the room a lot and there was no hot water due to a fault that was being looked into

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed some pipes inside the wall making a loud, constant noise, about TV volume. I spoke with reception, and they informed me that they couldn’t do anything and that I should speak to a manager who would be in the next morning.
After a sleepless night, I returned the next morning, and was told the manager would arrive in the afternoon. I returned later and was able to switch rooms. My advice for anyone staying here is to request a room on the second floor, as my second night was fine.

Lakefront lodge is just that, absolutely lake front. Cross the street and you are walking by the lake. Room was nice with good queen bed. Everything was excellent except for lack of mixer taps. Who uses individual taps these days. They are annoying because the hot tap gets too hot and the cold tap gets too cold. With such a nice lodge they need to upgrade the taps to mixer taps. Makes no sense in this day and age and technology.

Limited parking. I booked online through expedia, entered my visa details etc, when I got there, had to go through the whole bookin process and was concerned that I was going to be charged twice. The receptionist told me that she could not see where I booked via expedia. The soap dispensers hardly put out any soap at all. The expelair and the fan were very loud.

The room was very clean and had everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The check-in process was quick and there were no issues with the room reservation. However, the room was very warm, as it seemed to have centralized heating without the option to adjust the temperature. Additionally, the checkout time is very early, which makes it difficult to get a good rest. Lastly, the parking is insufficient for all guests, and we had to park the car on the street

Well no one emptied bin after first night otherwise ok a bin very little in size . Very noisy people in above room.

Fairly noisey at 7am when trying to still sleep. Had arranged a late checkout but so many were checking out early & had no consideration for others still sleeping. Our room was tiny but comfy bed & pillows which usually aren’t the case & great views from elevated restaurant. Neat place overall & very affordable.

Good little place to stay if you are in Taupo. I made the mistake of booking a bunk room but it was still fine. Quite small rooms but I was only there for a night and on my own so it was fine.

Super unfriendly service. Hotel doesn’t have adequate parking space. Stuff hour is limited. Hotel advertised Ev charging availability but the spot was occupied by Non EV car. No stuff till 8 Am in the morning. No drinking water provided in the room.

I choose to stay here because of the EV charging facilities. Unfortunately everytime I have visited, there is a ICE vehicle parked in at least one of the two parks. The Honda likely belongs to a staff member.
Lodge was great for what it was (an overnight rest). Was annoyed that the amenities list laundry facilities available when they aren't. Only laundry on site is for their own towels and sheets etc.

I didn't like the curtain as it did not fully closed as there is gap where next door neighbour for next building able to see from the side.

Location is superb. Room is clean however seems like walls are not sound proof. You can hear next door’s water tank when used, people walking in the hallway too loud.

Room was small, bathroom stank (shower drain seemed to let stink back into bathroom - needs some plumbing attention) hand basin was also slow to drain (another plumbing job), room was clean & warm on a cold winters night. Reception was good. Restaurant was good but the steak I had was obviously sous vide and needed more searing to take away the sous vide flavour ditto for my wifes pork ribs. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
