I traveled with a couple of friends and we couldn’t be more satisfied! Very nice hotel with a big room. Cleaness was perfect and the staff was very friendly (shoutout to Isidro, at the front desk, who was very helpful and attentious). We spent a couple of hours at the spa, which was spotless!

Place was very clean and reception was speedy. The rooms were very awkward to stay in for two days with large suitcases. No room at all to hang your clothes other than right over top the only area you could set up any kind of toiletries and was also purposed with bar snacks that were, all available for a premium charge. No room to place any toiletries at all. Place looks nice in pictures. Wouldn’t be our choice in the future. Parking garage available for a charge, very tight spaces.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff where very friendly and accommodating. The spa was great to use and the breakfasts was very enjoyable each morning.

The facilities are very nice and most staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are well kept. I enjoyed my stay. The rooftop is very nice but the pool is not for swimming and is unheated. If you are looking for a pool to get your laps in then you will be unhappy. But if you just need to chill and soak, it is perfect and often there is a self-srrve sparkling wine bottle on deck. The gym and sauna facilities are noce. You have long (15-20) min walks to old town or Gros but minutes from a nice river walk and the bridges. Parking is limited so call try to book early and call the night before. If parking is full, there is a parking lot around the corner that you can book with the Telpark app and the staff can help you with that. The parking lot is a two minute walk but a 10 to 15 min drive in traffic.

Hotel is modern and clean, staff friendly and helpful; nice breakfast buffet. Direct surroundings not so attractive but nicer quarters nearby. Beach 10/15 minute walk. No public transport to old town, but taxis easy to get.

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff at the reception. If you come by car, it may not be easy to find a parking space near the hotel if the hotel car park is full.

Checkin was a little slow, too many arrivals and not enough staff. Gym is great, but towels are missing as is cleaning spray. Room was very good - big and well appointed.
Roof top pool and loungers could have been better - messy and a bit chaotic. Overall a very good place, and within 20minutes walk of all major interest spots.

What a great hotel, and super value. The staff could not have been friendlier, and all had excellent English. We really enjoyed the spa facilities; they were a fabulous way to relax. The rooms were clean and intriguingly arranged; ours had a quasi-separate showering and dressing area, which we enjoyed. The hotel is right next to the lively Plaza Easo with its eateries and cultural events, and about a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. I only have 2 complaints. The pillows are horrible. PLEASE replace them. Also, I find it weird that you have to make reservations for the indoor whirlpool. It wasn't difficult to get one, but it's strange.

Hotel is fairly new. Had issues with cold water, that issue was resolved. The hotel called a cab and within minutes they arrived. On arrival the we received an upgraded room to help accommodate our luggage.(Sweet) On the morning of our departure the front desk made a breakfast bag for us to take on our early flight!!!!! Very awesome experience!!!!

We had a lovely time at this hotel, overall standards were excellent and the staff were lovely and v helpful. Breakfast buffet was also fantastic. Only downside was the first room we stayed in had really smelly drains so bad we had to move room. We moved to an even nicer room and the staff were helpful but it would have been better not to have happened at all.

The room was beautiful and spacious enough. The location is pretty good-everything is very walkable. Our biggest complaint is that the Hotels.com listing had a bar as a property detail, on the property did not have a bar. We would have chosen another hotel.

Highlights included lovely sheets, quiet neighbourhood and a great barista for coffees at breakfast. Overall breakfast was great.
Low points were room size, extreme lack of storage, poorly designed interior, no place to conveniently do makeup, no place to hand long items of clothes, very dark bathroom, TV placed where you literally walk into it while walking by. Some staff were good some were very abrupt.
Really it’s an ok spot for a few nights in the area with minimal baggage but even for us passing through with a carry on and a personal item each we had no room to place anything.

The Axel Hotel in San Sebastian is wonderful! It was an excellent place to stay for our honeymoon. The free spa services were an added benefit which we made good use of.

The bed was harder than the floor. No jacuzzi, just two saunas and a luke warm pool.

Quite disappointed with allocated room as I booked a king room with a garden terrace and ended up on the top floor with a small balcony there was no actual place to hang clothes etc and there was only one small bedside cupboard.The shower was difficult to control temperature fluctuating from boiling to cold.
As I paid just under £1400 for a week to be honest i expected more for the money.
I must say it was very clean and staff very helpful.

The staff were not very friendly . I had breakfast on one day but was not impressed.

Good quite location in the outskirts of the city center.
15-200 min walk to Old town and the beaches is still OK.

Stayed in one of the balcony rooms. Layout was very modern and quirky which we enjoyed. Bed very comfortable and bathroom area spacious. Quiet location and easy to walk to the old town or beach. Handy bars and cafes in the immediate area and a supermarket too. Staff were amazing and spoke excellent English in comparison with my bad Spanish! Only thing I didn’t like was the air freshener in the common areas which alas seems to be the norm these days.

Room is too small. No place for luggage. Bed occupied the whole room. Had to move to a different hotel. Check out within 4 hrs . Please consider refunding my 2 days left .
