Stopped in Montepulciano for a wine tasting tour. Found the hotel on Facebook and thought it would be unique. It was situated just off the old town square. It truly was a unique time in the heart of a medieval city. We were thrilled. The hotel was updated unbelievably well and had great decorations. The buffet breakfast was very extensive and was very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend it.

This hotel is so historical, be prepared for lots of artifacts to observe. There is an elevator, but expect so steps. The location is excellent in Montepulciano, right on the Grand Plaza.

Spectacular location. Right on the square with a great restaurant on the square

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at! The building is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the staff is very kind, and location is absolutely perfect. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Everything was beautiful and location was great. If you're in good shape and don't have a huge amount of luggage, ask for the final parking location in advance and just go there. It's a long hike up a hill, but in our opinion walking would have been preferred to driving our rental through the heart of town, which was easily the most stressful part of our trip.

This family run (I think 7 generations!) hotel is quaint, cozy, wonderful and some rooms have amazing views. Thoroughly enjoyable and we'd stay there again. Very good location but note that parking is a hike - typical of any place in historical area of the city. Excellent staff, and very helpful.

Literally no air conditioning system. Room could not have hotter. People were amazing in a gorgeous town

Wonderful historical property situated in the heart of Montepulciano with car parking available a short walk away. Our room was very comfortable with lovely period furnishings.
The hotel has a small but very pretty rooftop terrace with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The hotel was in an incredible location!! Steps away from the centre, shopping and restaurants. The view from the window in our room was breathtaking.
Getting to the hotel, dropping off our bags, and then finding parking was a bit of an ordeal. The staff and hotel made it all worth it though!

Meuble Il Riccio is such a beautiful quaint property that's close to the main piazza. Short distance to a couple of wineries for wine tastings. Great place to stay.

Parking far from property but understandable for an historic city access

A Walk Thru History! Very Nice! Warm welcome upon arrival and a beautiful room with outdoor terrace perfect for early morning coffee and afternoon relaxation! The history of the property and the family was a wonderful insight! We were there as the season was winding down and several restaurants were closed on the days we were there. The recommendations from the staff were perfect! Breakfast was served each morning and a great start to each day!

I stayed for 2 nights in a very hot July. The Air Conditioning was great. Breakfast every morning consisted of homemade pies and cakes that were delicious assorted cereals, yogurt and coffee. I had a delightful stay.

This hotel was fantastic - the name means "Hedgehog." Location is just off the main square and features a beautiful courtyard and grand marble staircase. There is an incredible rooftop terrace which was a nice surprise.
The hotel reserves several parking spots a few blocks away. Great place to spend several days

This was our second stay and both visits were exceptional.
The owners are gracious, inviting people who truly care about their guests. Our room was the best in our 30 day Europe trip. We will return when next in Tuscany again.

Beautiful boutique hotel offering wonderful views just steps from Piazza Grande. A family run business with very friendly staff.
Unfortunately, the pillows are thin and hard and the bed was also very hard and most uncomfortable.
Breakfast is not included which is disappointing.
For an additional €8 we were disappointed with the quality of the pastries.

This property was absolutely charming and so were the owners. It's been their family home for several generations. The building was so full of history and the view from our room was absolutely spectacular. The location next to the Grand Piazza of Multipuciano was excellent. Many great shops and restaurants close by. Getting there was a bit of a challenge (by car) but once we settled, it was perfect. Parking was included and the lot was just a short walk away.

Joe, his wonderful wife and his small staff treated us like family. After a mixup with Expedia where we didn’t get the city view room we thought we booked, they made good on the mixup by serving us breakfast every day and his wife cooked us a delicious apple tart that I ate for breakfast every day!!
The property is beautifully maintained and conveniently located nearby pretty much everything. Free parking is about 200m away in a small lot near the Fortezza.
Montepulciano is a medieval hill town, so wear your comfy walking shoes as pretty much everything you’ll want to get to is downhill from the hotel. Make a plan to take a morning walk to the Tempio di San Biagio just outside the town walls for some great pictures.

This hotel is a gem. Very nice old couple taking care of the place that is in building from year 1200. We got a room that had an amazing view over the Touscanyz.

I am an expert on hotels- I own a hotel management company- and I would not stay anywhere else in Montepulciano. Perfect location off Piazza Grande, beautiful views to the east, immaculate and charming rooms and dining area and the perfect host whose family has owned the building for seven generations. I shall return.
