Nice rooms, and shared bathroom/shower facilities were clean and always available. Rooms were tight for 3 people but worth the price, location is a bit inconvenient for what we were doing.

The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. I enjoyed the style of the rooms with the classic Japanese styled bed.

Amazing stay, and with the price, nothing more could be left desired. The location is wonderful, there's a 7-Eleven right across the street for food if needed and its literally right next to Gojo Station which makes using the metro soo easy. The accommodations were perfectly adequate for what they were needed: resting and sleeping as we explored Kyoto. Will be back!!

An excellent and convenient place to stay, close to everything we wanted to do. Only 15 minute walk to the Nishiki market, right next to subway entrance and 1 stop from Kyoto station. We enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay there again.

Minimalistic but has all the necessities; Swift check-in process and friendly staff; Very close to metro station exit; Only issue was the shower which was on the ground floor.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel!

This is an excellent place to stay when on a budget. Central location made it easy to get to many tourist spots. The Breakfast which was included was at a restaurant next door which gave 3 breakfast platter options (with no substitutions). We stayed in a “family” room for 4 people with bunk beds and futon beds which were quite comfortable.

Budget accommodation option - toilets and shower rooms are communal, however the whole property is spotlessly clean so no problem. Breakfast vouchers are provided for Yayoiken restaurant, a few steps away - 3 delicious breakfast options. Location is very convenient, right next to subway entrance and one stop from Kyoto station. Overall our stay was very comfortable, this hotel offers incredible value for money!

Everything was sparkling clean. Felt really comfortable even sharing the bathroom. Really modern and well maintained. Sleeping on futons is not annoying at all since they are cushioned and feel comfortable.

Completely unexpected.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room and bathroom was. I didn't think that I would enjoy sharing a bathroom but they were constantly cleaning the bathrooms and it felt like I had a freshly cleaned bathroom to myself every time. The space is small but sufficient to store everything and just sleep for the night. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Coming in from Osaka, I *loved* that the train stop (Gojo) is literally just a couple meters away from the hotel. AND that there was Yoshinoya close by! And a few others like CocoIchi and a couple others that I forgot the name of, but they were delish options too. Other than a long wait before checking (came too early), it was a easy process of checking in and then settling into the room. Being 165cm, it was quite spacious and comfy enough. It was very nice that they offered in-house usage of clothing (one-size for all) which can be swapped out daily for a fresh set. And slippers! The orange oil/botanical extract shampoo/body soap was awesome to say the least. Great way to wake up to the scent. They did offer toothbrushes/q-tips in the restroom. I will definitely want to stay there again, if/when I drop into Kyoto again.

Great hotel

The staffs were very accommodating. I had problem during check out but they are very helpful. The place is nice. The bathrooms were clean given that it is a shared facility. The hygiene kits are available. The rooms are so nice and cute. Another good thing about this place is it is very accessible and convenient for visiting tourist spots.

There are 2 restaurants close to the hotel, the tasty is quite authentic, but the living room is not very suitable for family .

Although the room is tiny, the hotel provided all the necessities I needed. The toilets and bathrooms are clean and enough for the residents on my floor. I didn't need to queue for them. The check in check out are self served, but when I needed to ask them questions, the staff was available. The only drawback is it is one subway station from the Kyoto station.

Easy access to metro & walkable distance to nearby attractions. A few dinning option from to abt 9pm & the shops’ food is good at good price.

The room/service was great. The room itself was very small and basic, with bathooms in the hallway outside and gendered shower rooms on other floors. We were mainly in our room at the end of the day/taking a break early afternoon, so this want much of an issue. Is right next to a subway entry, which is very convenient. Would recommend for traveling on a budget.

Nice location, one stop from Kyoto station or you can walk 20mins to it. About 5mins from the riverbed, and 15mins from nishimarket. The shijo location is much more noiser but has more bus stops and another JR line near it.
