EXCELLENT location & price/value! Wonderful daily cleaning service unless you leave magnet for them to skip your room Staff very helpful - call taxi company to retrieve a wallet left in the cab. With their help, the wallet was returned within 1.5 hours! For the fussy, there were several stains on the floor. For me, only negative was poor light fixture placement, so difficult to read in bed.

Clean and comfortable hotel in a great location! Plenty of transit options, shops, markets, and dining options nearby. Highly recommend!

The hotel room is as expected in Japan. Not large but it was comfortable and clean. The bedding was of good quality and the pillows were soft. The staff at reception doesn’t speak great English and most of the time we had to use translator but they were nice enough. Very central for markets and the Gion area. I would stay again

Location was pretty convenient and surrounded by plenty of shops/restaurants. However, the downfall was the noise from the main road. Size was not over generous but better than a Tokyo. My adult kids shared a twin for slightly more price but worth it for the space. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location as it was only 10 mins on the bus but they only allow roll on small suitcases. A taxi is around ¥2,500 for the short distance if you are interested.

Great hotel esp the room design. Front desk tram are polite and the breakfast has a varied selection. The location is what sets this apart, right in the middle of Kawaramachi, cant be beaten.

Lovely location, plenty of food options

Only had a really brief overnight stay here - property was clean and nice, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, staff were lovely. Our room faced the main street and it was super loud, definitely grab the earplugs from the amenities offering!

Breakfast options are limited and rooms are very small but overall a good hotel.

Highly recommend if you want to be central to most things! Really enjoy your stay here and couldn’t have been more happy! Rooms were more spacious than usual rooms in Japan. Very cleans and staff was very friendly. Wish we stayed longer!

Excellent hotel. Safe, clean and very helpful staff. Rooms were small, but well appointed and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was an extra charge, but the food was very good indeed and easy to get your money's worth at the buffet. The hotel is well situated for Nishiki market and lots of great dining options close by.

We loved the property. Would absolutely stay here again. Location was better than imagined — lots of shopping, things to do, and places to eat. We ubered to a few places and was so easy and fast to get one. The room was aesthetically pleasing, clean, looks just like the photos, and amenities were great.

It’s no wonder this hotel has received many 5 star reviews from other guests. Its location is amazing! The accommodation and breakfast were superb. (The room isn’t the tiny standard you experience across Japan- it’s very spacious with a lot of well thought out extra amenties not seen in other hotels.) it was a bit tricky to get to this hotel from Kyoto station via train- so I took a taxi with my luggage instead which cost 1700Yen during rush hour. It was nice cause it gave me a gauge of where i was going to be staying. It’s walking distance to Gion and lots of beautiful cultural places to see. To add, I felt very safe traveling and staying at this hotel as a solo female traveler.

We had a really great time the area was awesome and the hotel was nice. It was very comfortable and we definitely would stay again. Our only issue was with the laundry machine the dryer doesn’t work which was very frustrating. Other than that it was great hotel in an awesome area.

Great rooms that feel bigger than they are. Perfect location. Our second stay here in Kyoto and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We booked a twin room with a sofa bed for three people. It’s definitely a too small for three people, no room to even open the suitcases. The hotel is on a busy shopping street. Several of the bus stations near by, but it’s a little far away from the Kyoto station. Breakfast is good, I paid separately. If you think you are going to eat breakfast in the hotel, include it when booking, cheaper than buying separately at the hotel. I believe we were signed a handicap room, which was not I expected. Front desk people are friendly. Not sure will stay there again.

Everything is excellent except it is noisy at night due to some activity from neighboring facility

super convenient locations, many bus stops and walkable to train station and most sightseeing spots. we reserved a big room with additional sofa bed, enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids, can open 3 big luggages. room is very clean. water power is stong enough having relaxing shower after a long day trip. breakfast has different varieties both japanese and western foods. strongly recommended this hotel and must stay here again if come to kyoto again

Perfect location to any of the tourist attractions. Literally in the center of the city, walkable to dining areas and bar areas as well as a couple of train stations and bus stops. The facility was very clean and the staff were very nice and friendly. I’d totally recommend this hotel and will stay here whenever I visit Kyoto.

Difficult to find the entrance when my Google maps was playing up. But when we found it, everything was good. Great location for nighttime and a short walk to the us stops
