Nice modern hotel with a lively ambiance in the lobby most evenings. Restaurant (Madam) slowest service for brunch I’ve ever experienced. Valet also takes forever at least 15 minutes so have to remember to call ahead. Rooms have nice quality art a d finishes. Poor sound insulation in the rooms.

My stay at the Daxton was amazing! This hotel is the best in the area and the staff go out of their way to ensure everything is absolutely perfect!

Beautiful hotel. Our corner room was perfect - clean, brand new, luxurious fittings. It is the best hotel in the area - a no brainer if we return to this town again! The only thing I’d suggest is to lay off the AC in the lobby/restaurant/bar downstairs. It was beyond freezing so we didn’t hang out there as much as we’d have liked. But everything else was perfection!

I was underwhelmed by the bar staff. While they were not busy, i felt like my wife and i were bothering them to get a drink...on multiple occasions.

The rooms were awesome, but the lobby was OK. Too small for the number of people and furniture in the space. Still enjoyed the stay there.

This hotel is advertised (and priced) as a new “luxury” hotel yet very few of the basic amenities worked. Our phone was broken in our room, as was the internet and the television. At first we were told that the battery was low on the phone, but after challenging that response, it turned out that it was something more. They could not explain the phone issue, internet issues, or the TV issues. We were then required to pack up all of stuff as we were moved to a “nicer, larger” corner room. However, this room also had issues. It was 85 degrees outside and the AC would not work. When we called twice about it, we were told it had to be reset and the HVAC was “intricate”. They reset it but told us that it would only lower 3 degrees per hour in a room that was already 79 degrees. It did eventually cool down after waiting several hours, only to break and become nonfunctional yet again. Last, the blinds in the room are not blackout blinds so as we were on the side where the sun rose and in a corner room, we were woken up pretty early by the bright light which I guess was a good thing because the room was heating back up again and at 76 degrees. For the price we paid and the luxury branding, this place was very disappointing.

I was very disappointed in my stay at the Daxton. My room upon entering was filthy. The countertops were not wiped down. Clothing tags were left behind from the person before, and the sink was clogged. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, instead of apologizing, he told me that they thoroughly inspect the rooms before, and that basically I must not be giving him an accurate account of my room. I also was given attitude by the front desk staff when my room key did not work because I had too many keys. I have never been treated so rudely. Room service was absolutely terrible. I ordered iced coffee and they brought me warm water down coffee and drinking glasses without ice. And when I asked for ice for my iced coffee, they complained that they were giving me more coffee and they wanted to charge me in addition. The rooms are terribly small and The lotion in my bathroom was used, and it was not replaced. I am actually extremely disappointed in the Daxton and when I asked for the manager to call me, I asked three times and the manager has yet to call me. I would never recommend nor will I ever be staying at the Daxton again. I’m not sure what kind of training their staff receives, but it is of the poorest caliber and quality and the room was terribly self for the standards that the Daxton should meet.

Disappointed. Rooms are small and have zero closet space. They have a pantry on each floor but it’s poorly stocked and they charge you for it as a hidden additional service charge

Elevated room style and decor. Very luxurious and bed and linens were excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about nearby stores, restaurants, etc. The free gratis pantry is a nice perk too! Highly recommend!

The walls are thin between the rooms.

A busy, vibrant hotel within easy walking to shops, bars, and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.

Last year and this year I really enjoyed the amenities, staff friendliness and ambiance for Mother’s Day at this hotel. This year, I was given a tour of the pantry on my floor and thought it was a great addition for my stay. Unfortunately, I learned that it was an extra fee of $30 tacked on my bill at checkout. Consumers are dealing with so many junk fees that it just makes it hard to not be disappointed that the hotel didn’t make a better effort to either not make this an extra expense or communicate this better.
