I stayed here to see a concert on November 15. The interior is beautiful and the service (front desk, valet) was excellent. All was very clean and the bed was amazing. I had a nice city view. The walk in shower was large and beautifully done. The interior decor of my room was up to date and very pretty.
A couple of negatives was the high cost for valet parking and cost for meals and drinks in the bar. The space between the bed and the wall was barely enough to walk through to get to the left side of the bed.
I would consider staying here again bc the hotel is gorgeous and so many things were excellent.

Such a beautiful hotel. Loved all the intricate detail in every space. The hotel bar was fabulous, the restaurant was wonderful, and the room was immaculate.

There’s really no parking available. You have to do valet parking. Unless you want to walk a long ways. They will charge your bill $24 for the service.

I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely stay here next time we are in Kansas City!

We arrived at 2:30, check in isn’t until 3 and they didn’t have our room ready so we sat at bar. Meanwhile, 3:00 came and others were checking in and going straight to room. Finally at 3:20, bartender offered to help and checked on status. He said we could get a room now or wait for assigned room. We took the room that was ready. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a terrible mildew smell. I sprayed air freshener and we dealt with the smell since we had to wait before, we figured it would take a while to get another room. Went to dinner and concert but returned to same overwhelming mildew smell. The style of our king room was fine, kitschy modern but the size was very small. Valet parking was $42.

For the cost, this room was just okay. Everything felt damp in the room and the vents and fixtures in the room and hallways were very dusty.
We used the valet service and when we tried to get the car out for dinner, there was nobody at the front desk on a saturday night and no sense of order with the valets. We waited at least 5 minutes to try to give the ticket to a valet to pull the car and couldn't get any valets to acknowledge us so we took the kids and walked to dinner.
Customer service wasn't overly friendly and besides check in and check out there was zero interaction with staff. I wish we would have stayed somewhere else.

This is a fantastic hotel w/LOTS of original charm. The rooms have been tastefully updated, but the original “vibe” remains. The area around the hotel is great, with lots of dining options within walking distance…We will definitely be back!

Thank goodness for Lilly. She redeemed what could have been a lower review. We upgraded our room but were only able to upgrade 3/4 nights. When asking another employee about having our next room ready, we were told it wasn’t possible and we would have to just chill for several hours until the new room was ready. Lilly helped us out and made sure there was no pause in between. Our food orders were wrong twice (iced vs hot coffee), and there were problems with charging our card and double charged for a meal (a $30 burger). Very slow at checkin-either need a computer upgrade or more staff. Other than those things, the place was super cool. The Nighthawk on Saturday was fun. Other than a few minor conveniences and being sure we talk to the right people, it was a solid stay!

My stay was great other than not having a fluffy pillow. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel. Room was decorated super cute. Mattress was terribly uncomfortable. And valet parking was expensive. Not really sure what other options there was. Lots to do within walking distance

We arrived at 3:00 (check-in time) and had to wait an hour before our room was ready. The front desk said we would receive a text when the room was ready, but that never happened. We nearly missed our dinner reservation before a show. They offered a $50 "credit" that could apply to expenditures at the hotel - it ended up paying for the parking. The hotel is historic, so those aspects of the stay were interesting and fine. The room itself was also fine although the key-card entry to the room was problematic since the sensor kept on falling off of the door (?!). We paid for a lofted suite (which was quite pricy) - and expected the service to match the price paid. We won't go back there again.

Booked hotel 3 months in advance for family wedding and was very excited to stay there. When landed at DFW connection had VM from Hotel KC that they no longer had a room for us but had booked us in a neighboring hotel. Called that hotel and was told we did NOT have a reservation. Short layover and was unable to book a hotel before next flight. Arrived in KC at 9:30 p.m. with no hotel reservation. 57 years old and have never had this happen. Find another place.

Probably one of the best places to stay in KCMO. Wit that said, it was just alright. I really enjoyed the mini bar selection.

One of my best hotel stays in a while. The hotel is very attractive, a combination of cute, stately, old school, and hip, if that makes any sense. (It will if you visit.) Great open atrium area, good breakfast options, nice bar downstairs, very friendly staff, and everywhere clean. The only tiny negative was that I am so used to no-cleaning-service in this post-COVID era that I was surprised to see my room cleaned on the first day (and had left stuff like my computer out), and the cleaning crew knocking (a little bit) early on the second day. I forgot the need to put the do-not-disturb sign on the door. Not a bad thing of course in theory, it just had been so long and I prefer (from an eco- perspective) to not have it cleaned if I'm only there for 2 or 3 nights. Otherwise a great stay all around, highly recommend!
