They have upgraded us to a superior room without any change. Also, everything is very clean. The hotel is very close to center. Marianne and Rafael were very helpful with everything.

I stayed here with my Husband for our honeymoon. Pros: - The staffs are very friendly and try to help you when you ask and we had good communication with them, especially Rafael, Fabio and Chef Pavel. Pavel even prepared us breakfast even if we left very early in the morning - There were amazing fresh fruits daily - The staffs were available to clean your room and change the towels - very good location, 15 mins walk to the central park and old town - we booked the suite and it was comfy and understandable for a 3 star - Taxi was organized for us on request from and to the airport Cons - On arrival, we met a colony of ants in and around the water tap in our bathroom. We reported it immediately and they came to clean them off. It got really better and we didn't see the ants on the water tap anymore but just a very few going around the room sometimes. the first was a shock to see and they said it was a one off. We advise that they do a full chemical fumigation of the room/building. Fyi, This didn't affect our stay as the room was comfy - On our last day, we were disappointed as we found out that the staffs gave us wrong info about opening days of the cigar museum. Also we were lied to about the booking price for $15 and they said we needed to book it a day before but we found out it was $10 and you can visit it on same day you book it. We are sad we missed it - breakfast was basic and same everyday. The salad or dessert in the fridge was left for days and sometimes went bad

Magnificent hotel! Property conditions and facilities very good for being Cuba, great front desk and very very good breakfast, impecable cleanliness, close from old Havana, restaurants and safe neighborhood, nothing else to ask about, come here!!!

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel and it was very pleasant. Since it is located in a central location, it allowed me to explore the city without problems. The exterior is not very attractive. The staff is friendly. If you travel alone, the Comfort Loft room is the best option, very personal and comfortable, without neglecting its cleanliness

It was my first time in Habana, and I can say I had one of the best trip ever. The all Alhabana team was excellent and did amazing job. Rafael, Roxanne, Maria, the guys who prepare the breakfast every morning, the housekeeper, all of them made their best to help having a great time during my stay. I will be back soon.

The staff went out of their way to help me. Never experienced such helpful and kind staff. My luggage arrived late and they amongst others called several times a day to ensure its return. Much appreciated! The room was nice with good AC.

Fantastic location in the heart of Centro Havana.

The first day, I was received very friendly. Even though I had an unconvenient flight time, the guys at the check-in were so kind to allow me to early check-in. The breakfast saved me from a bad hangover and was prepared on request with a lot of love.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alhabana and highly recommend it! Alhabana is located in Central Havana. By staying in Central Havana we were able to have an intimate experience on how real Cubans lived. The staff was outstanding! We would like to thank Rafa for all his help, answering questions, arranging an airport transfer and a day trip to Vinales. Alhabana was extremely accommodating and helped us when we were delayed 2 days arriving due to weather. We want to say THANK YOU for a great experience in Cuba!

The staff there were prepared to help with anything. I was was unprepared for my trip to Cuba but the staff gave me all the basics on arrival. They explained the exchange situation, had SIM cards for rent, and were able to book tours for me for my stay that would accept CAD.

I enjoyed this fantastic hotel in Havana which exceeded all my expectations. The warm and friendly staff made me feel right at home, ensuring I had everything I needed. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary late checkout, which gave me the extra time to relax before my midnight flight. The location of the hotel is perfect, situated right in the heart of Havana, half way between Old Havana and Vedado. The bed was big and comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly, providing a cool and refreshing escape from the tropical heat. Breakfast (included in the hotel rate) each morning was a delightful experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Havana.

Magnificent choice: the Alhabana hotel, our flight arrived at 1 am and we arrived at the hotel at approximately 3 am, at that time they received us very attentively, they also assisted us with the transfer from the airport. very cozy atmosphere, areas with spectacular cleanliness, attentive reception staff willing to assist us with everything, very good amenities, abundant and very good quality breakfast. The hotel is small and in a good location, you can reach several places walking without the need to take a taxi. The service is excellent! The pleasant staff helps with everything, and shows you the best options for everything you need. The breakfast is varied and the cooks are very attentive. I was in the Master Suit which is very spacious and they always kept it clean.

This Hostal was everything we needed for our stay in Havana ! They helped with nearly everything we needed , even before our trip started ! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful ! The highlight was that they offered us a late check out (at 17.00) without extra charges and also they kept our luggages during our excursions in other cities of Cuba! Thanks a lot for everything!

Accommodation met expectations. The room was clean. The bathroom has a hairdryer, shower gel, soap,... The breakfast was very tasty. The food and drink selection at the bar is great, but the prices are high. They will provide valuable advice to travelers to Cuba for the first time. Don't be afraid to ask, they will help arrange what you need. They will exchange dollars or euros for a Cuban peso for a good exchange rate.

I have spent more than 7 days at the Alhabana hostel, from the first day the attention was excellent, the staff was always attentive and attentive to my needs, every day they cleaned my room so every time I entered it was like the first day, the breakfast It was very good and the cook was attentive to everything I needed. It is very easy to walk around the place since it is central. I asked for extra nights and they gave me the junior suit, I loved it, it has a balcony and is bigger, I really enjoy the comfort they provide me in the place. Everything is central so I don't have to take a taxi and I can do several things while I walk around the city. Very good recommendations for this beautiful place. I will return very soon

1. excelent place to stay the check-in was simple and hassle free. the price is worth what you really got. a very warm and friendly staff all them are ready to help you out any time , definitely they make feel you home. a very good buffet type-breakfast, the rooms are comfortable enough and beds and bathrooms stuff are ok and and basic supplies as bottles water and drinks are in place. so, I'd definitely recomend Hostal laahabana as amazing place to stay in La Habana.

High on Price but a great place to stay. Staff are excellent, felt very safe. Breakfast excellent- chef a darling. Lots of hot water and room lovely and clean. No lift but staff will take bag up if needed.

The street is in poor condition, but easy to walk, not too much traffic

I just wanted to say thanks to the whole team , Rafael ,Fabio, Roxana and Mariem and the whole staff , cleaning crew , were just great. So friendly , so helpful , going out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They arranged our taxi pick up and also trip to the airport. They have a lovely buffet breakfast included , wifi , and the room has AC and an ensuite bathroom, the quality was very good and it was very clean. We stayed here for 2 nights , We were so happy that we are coming back at the end of our trip for one more night in Havana. If you are looking for a place to stay , you have to check this gem out. Absolutely 5 star in my opinion. Thanks guys and see you next time we are in Havana ! John and Djoan

Liked the non-tourist location but the city is littered in the location. Pavements and roads are really ropey but that’s Cuba.

Great place to stay in Old Havana if you want a reasonable priced 4 star Hotel/Casa. I got upgraded to the Master Suite which had a balcony and great view of the local area (a little underdeveloped but the views and noises and people are so full on, it makes it wonderful to see and hear). Note, there are a LOT of stairs and the Master Suite was on the 2nd floor, so unless youre SUPER FIT, take a moment to breathe as you go up each landing. We had a small mishap whereby the Receptionist had fallen asleep and so we had to wait 30 minutes for her to wake up and open the front door at 2pm in the morning, but she sent us personal apologetic messages the next morning. I would definitely stay again!
