Reception staff Ryan and Jack and the morning staff were very helpful.I was moved to another room because the tv was not working.I was also given a free breakfast.Thanks Bed was great. tv worked in new room. I do have to say though and it is possible covid nose is to blame but the last two times I have stayed at Moxy the bathrooms have smelt a little off.I am a totaly damp expert or plumbing attack dog so it might be worth looking at, but otherwise great.No offence.

Nice and close to the center of town, but still very quiet. Good comfy bed, only down side room was very warm and couldn't adjust the air-conditioning!

The hotel staff were very friendly. The social areas were stylish and comfortable. Rooms were also very nice, clean with a good shower.

Brilliant stay, Keith was amazing 👏, attentive, helpful such a wonderful man made my stay, breakfast was good lots of variety, hotel clean, warm and very quiet, room 300 great view of river, fab shower, so close to centre, parking was 10 25 on site for 24 hours , no issues lots of space, definitely coming back

The Moxy is a fabulous hotel which is located in such a convenient position. It is walking distance to the centre of town, near to the train station and not far from the Live Rooms where we had booked to see a band. All the staff were cheerful, friendly, accommodating and efficient. Dave on Reception was a really friendly & helpful chap who enabled us to check in early, this was a real bonus, giving us ample time to enjoy Chester before our concert. The Hotel is modern, well thought out and spotlessly clean. Our room was excellent, again immaculate, spacious, really well organised and appointed. Everything appeared to be brand new. The bed, the pillows and crisp sheets were so comfortable, we slept really well. The breakfast alternatives were the best we have ever experienced at a UK Hotel. As well as the all the English Breakfast and Continental Breakfast ingredients, there were a lot of fruit and yoghurt choices including Soya Yoghurts, soft creamy Granola Fruit Pots & even a jug of Berry Smoothie. Many healthy options to choose from. Even the hot drinks machine had various selections of coffee as well as a tap for hot water. Should we visit Chester in future, we would definitely book there again.

Kerry and the team at MOXY Chester always make me feel welcomed and special on business travel. I stay in a lot of different Hotels and MOXY staff make me feel most at home. Excellent job to Kerry and the wonderful team 👏👏👏

Didn’t like booking through Hotels.com. Entered 2 filters, dog friendly and car parking. Both of which ‘the Moxy’ are but didn’t see they were extra cost to the £81 paid. £10.50 to park and £15 for dog house cleaning. We were using the hotel as a stop over so cost was important to us. The £15 per fee is just for house cleaning so I expect the room to be spotless. So disappointed to find a dirty brown stain on the carpet in our our room (216) then we arrived! The Moxy TV claimed car parking was less but when I asked they said a new company had taken over the car parking and the TV had not been updated. These are small niggles I know but maddening in this world of add on’s and the fact they can just pile on the customer and we have no option other than to pay

Although rooms were reasonably clean the bar and lounge area could be better. The price of a small bottle of Prosecco is overpriced.

Ideal location for an overnight stay in Chester. Lovely walk along the canal into the centre. The staff were friendly and efficient and the bed and room very comfortable. Just a note for senior management- the new parking app is not customer friendly and creates more work for staff which defeats the object.

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff- would definitely recommend and will be making a return visit!

For 3 out of 4 days we stayed there the air conditioning was not working and it was not good at all. I expected much more from a Marriott

A very cool hotel, gorgeous interior and we loved our family room. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Complimentary drink on arrival and buffet breakfast. Directly beside Waitrose and a short walk into Chester city centre. Will definitely be back!

Awesome staff, they really make the vibe of the place be as it should be. You will need to arrive a little early as parking could be an issue. Only 1EV charger with 2 ports (7.5KW Max), also those bays are not marked as EV only so its a bit pot luck if your needing an overnight juice up. Rooms clean and have a groovy feel, foyer / bar is right next to the canal so nice and senic :) My pint was surprisingly well priced for a hotel (£5.20), streight forward menu and a damd good breakfast made for a nice surprise. Dog friendly and the internet was snappy! 5 stars and would go there again without hesitation :)

Good place to stay

This was my second stay and my feelings are still mostly positive. The two minor things I wished they would improve are the game area on "The Now" level. Some games or items need repairing like the 2 guitars they hang on the wall, which were either out of tune or with broken strings. On top of that, the pool table and other games need some dusting too. Still, I enjoyed playing pool there. I enjoyed hanging out at the bar and I ordered 2 Long Island Iced Tea. Perhaps this is a personal preference, but I wished they would ask if I wanted regular Pepsi or Pepsi Max. I think the drink would have tasted a lot better with regular Pepsi.
