The hotel and staff were overall very nice! The bathroom was awkward in layout and the shower head really ruined the overall stay. The shower head doesn’t maintain a consistent temperature and none of the settings spray normally. It spits everywhere. Definitely not good enough to wash your hair. If that was fixed it would be 5/5

Supper clean, quiet, & comfy!

The absolute best customer service of any hotel any where! My suite was very large, but ask for a room away from main road if you need quiet. Excellent breakfast. Good value. I will be back.

Virtual check in

The location was perfect for us, within walking distance to Santana Row, Winchester House and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few minor housekeeping issues, but nothing of great concern.

Rooms are clean. Not a great neighborhood, not much to do and not seems like a walk friendly neighborhood.

People's reviews are all over the place. It is an average hotel (Best Western)with amenities that compliment. The price is right, it is convenient and overall it is comfortable. You want style and grace, you need to go pay top dollar else where.

Great place

Stayed at this hotel for years, even through the ownership change. Never had any real issues other than the jetted tubs not working properly once in a while. Stayed 1 night recently to beat the heat and it was a calamity. Didn’t so much mind checking via camera at the kiosk, but the AC was off throughout the building it seemed. It was definitely off on the 3rd floor. Then the AC in the room was so weak, we still suffered. We complained and someone came to check it out, but we were ultimately told to just “wait it out”. It didn’t get better. Having the AC off when it’s triple digits outside just seems diabolical to me. I have always enjoyed the free breakfast in the past, but this time it seemed like a secondary thought. Just sausage, no eggs. Warm juice and a lackluster selection of breads. The lack of effort was giving definite penny pinch vibes. We used to really love this hotel, but this last trip was definitely a bust…and truly our last trip. We had a good run.

Loved the parking below the rooms, in shade. Room had reading lamps on either side of the bed, but no place to plug them in within reach of the cord. Peculiar.

We stayed at this hotel to be close to our morning destination. I found the hotel to be quite nice for the price. The hotel is not in an exciting area of San Jose unless you wish to be close to the mall, but the hotel itself is very nice. The check-in was fantastic. I called ahead to make a change to my check-in and the gentleman who assisted me was exceptionally nice and accomodating. Upon arrival, the hotel was modernized with keyless room entry, I received my code ahead of time for check-in which made it very easy after a long day. The room is simple but had nice gems of courtesy throughout including water bottles, a coffee selection, and even little Biscoff cookie packs. The sink area had a Qtip pack and nail file kit in addition to the other standard room amenities at other chain hotels. The bed was just okay, but the bedding was nice and the pillows were nice. Even though the hotel is close to the freeway and on a fairly busy street, I was not disturbed by any street noise through the night. Breakfast was simple but had many nice grab-and-go items like yogurt and muffins. There were two hot items, an egg omelet and a sausage patty. The area was clean, organized, and well-stocked. Staff were courteous and kind. I would stay here again and if I was traveling I would stay here to be near the airport without having to hear the planes. I almost forgot- there's a smart TV to sign into your streaming apps or just watch TV which is what we did- there were a ton of channels!

Honestly this hotel doesnt look too nice when you drive up but dont let that fool you. The inside is beautiful. Use caution if you want something super fancy. This place is slowly being upgraded. It has an old hotel vibe. Our room was fine, clean bedding and floors. The mattress and bathroom were dated. Nothing horrible just slowly upgrading. Breakfast was simple and hot. The manager was very nice and helpful.

I like the proximity to the major freeway interchange of 680 and 17, be able to walk to Valley Fair Mall/Santana Row if I chose to (and I did), and being across the street from Falafel’s Drive-in (had gone there for years when in college, decades before it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!) The place is clean and modern and fancy. What I didn’t like was that someone took the valet cart and I had to make multiple trips to/from my car on the bottom floor while my room was on the 2nd floor. There is a virtual front desk clerk, someone who is a real person but who is on camera to help check you in. This is the trend and while it was fine overall, I know that it may pose a challenge for those who want the personal touch of interacting with someone on site. There is nothing to look at but a neighbor’s junky yard if you have the rooms facing the rear; the rooms facing the front get street traffic noise, so seeing someone’s yard is best.

Don't like the virtual check in. Our room was facing the street and it was noisy. Only positive was it was close to Santana row and shopping centers. I would not stay here again.
