Me and my friend had 4 nights in Dublin. The holiday home in Ballyfermot was close to shops and bus routes and we found our way around really well. The accommodation was really good value it was clean spacious and the owner was very good at responding to our messages regarding heating. There was a plug in heater which warmed each room if we needed it. Only used on 2 days. We didn't let the 1 bad review put us off. Thankyou very much we will hopefully be back again.

I had more than 100 stays on Booking and this is the first time I am having such a terrible experience. I felt a complete frustration and fear. 1) First thing we met and saw in the property were 3 dangerous breed dogs who were barking constantly at us and looked quite aggressive. 2) The accommodation itself has lots of personal belongings of the owner, all the cub boards are full of someone clothes (man’s), no space to leave your own stuff. 3) Dirty bad linen & !!! bicycle !!! in the shower. Bathroom itself is constructed for a handicapped person (sink, mirror etc. are located below the standard level, to use it you need to kneel). Please note, that there are no photos of the bathroom on Booking so you can’t know about this specific in advance. 4)All the windows were blocked, it was not possible to open any to let some fresh air in. The smell in the apartment was terrible. 5) There were dogs diapers and used old dogs toys. Although accommodation is listed as not pet friendly I don’t understand why such staff is there. 6) Location: almost 7 km from the city centre. It’s apox 40 mins by car and more than an hour by bus. Absence of response from accommodation provider. I was choking on the smell and allergies to dogs. I was so scared and shocked that I left the place few minutes after check in. I called Booking and asked for a immediate cancellation and cost refund of 2 nights stay (430 EUR). The dispute is still open as accommodation refused to return money. Worst experience I have ever had.
