it was my son's anniversary with Julie and they had a great time he said the staff/owner was THE BEST they talked and had roasted marshmallows ( smores) and talked and laughed it was great I'm so happy and thankful that someone spent the time to show him love I'm forever so grateful

I had a terrific stay at Cypress Tree Motel. Each room had its own unique theme (I was In the Wild, Wild, West room), which was a fun twist. In the evening, the Motel hosted a bonfire for the guests, which provided a nice opportunity to meet some friendly faces. Additionally, the Motel is a short walk away from a public access point to the beach. I'll come back again!

I've been lucky enough to travel up and down this coast many times over the last 25 years and I've seen Pismo, Avila, and the rest succumb to the gentrification process. Cayucos retains a little bit of the surf bum, hippy vibe and this hotel epitomises that ethos. It's not fancy. It's economical, friendly, and has all the things you need. If you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want to spend your cash on your daily activities and sleep in a homely environment, this place will do nicely.

I stayed here for two nights in July and had a great stay. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. I paid about $100 a night and I felt like it was a good price for what the hotel is. I would happily stay here again!
The only advice I have is there isn't a fan in the room, so if you're like me and enjoy air movement/noise while you sleep bring your own, but there's plenty of electric plugs to use. :)

Very clean, cute decorated rooms. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The owners are very friendly. The motel is walking distance to the grocery store, shops, dining and even the beach! I highly recommend this motel for your next stay.

Cute room. Not sure if it’s non smoking. Turned on restroom fan and it smelled awful like smoke!! Too stinky, mattress hard, lamps falling apart. This place could use some TLC even at discount stores could be fixed up a lot. It’s great they put up with pets really well!!

The Owners are very, very sweet, accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. We had a beautiful view and it was the most adorable little place we had stayed in, in Cayucous. In fact we are making reservations to stay there again. Very reasonable as well, even considering an event was going on in Morro Bay.

I so enjoyed the property. Had a pet waste station in case you forgot dog bags. The other patrons were so friendly. I can’t wait to stay again. The 4th of July parade, right out your window. Such a cute vintage motel.

The room was wonderfully clean and bright when we arrived. We had wonderful customer service. The location was very good. The restaurants and shopping is easily walkable. The parking lot needs to be repaved but other than that it is big with plenty of room for parking a small grassy area to sit and enjoy friends. I would definitely stay there again.

When checking into our first room it was a very strong odor of mold, after unpacking everything my daughter-in-law and I got a very bad headache. So we asked to change rooms. At first they told us there was no other rooms until the owner and cleaning lady walked in and I know by the look on their face they could smell the odor. So they gave us another room that was half the size. You could not walk into the bathroom without closing the door and then trying to walk around the toilet to get to the shower or sink. While sitting on the toilet your face was completely directly in front of the wall if there was anybody larger size than I they would not have been able to fit in the bathroom.

The smell was stagnant rotten moldy. Unbelievable, odor all night. Room was dark and dank. Cramped, no room for one person to move around. I would never stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay in Cayucos. We were able to check in early which was a blessing and staff was great. Loved that we were a block away from the beach so was in walking distance and near everything we needed. It was quiet at night and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Cute little motel at s fair price. The proprietor was friendly at check-in. While the rooms are dated and the exterior could use some sprucing up, we enjoyed our stay. There is an outdoor area with a fire pit. We liked sitting out there eating our meal.

Best bargain in town. Ocean is just across the hwy. 10 minutes walk to town and the pier. I have stayed here multiple times and will again in the future

We really enjoyed staying here! The hotel is walking distance to many shops and it was beautiful are the area. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating and she even left a note out with our key when we got in past the check in time!

Our room was comfortable and in a convenient location. I loved the paintings in the room. The artist did a very nice job. The bed was comfortable and roomy enough for the size of the room and the price of our overnight stay. My only concern was the "unsafe" look of the ceiling, especially since the ceiling light/fan is located right in that area.

A quaint older motel. Clean and quiet. The shower is “ cozy” but functions well and is adequate. The steps upstairs were steep and somewhat difficult to manage while carrying things upstairs. The person who greeted us was very nice. Yes we would go again.
