My biggest pain was how rude the tone of the initial email from the management company was. They make you regret the rental right after you get the email. They scare you with many charges and random visits. They expect you to leave the house clean and leave an envelope for the tip for the cleaner that clearly does not do their job. On top of that: * very loud HVAC system (guests unable to sleep) * dirty hot tub water * dirty floors everywhere * very slow draining in the bathroom upstairs * noisy beds * absolutely filthy grill * fridge missing shelves * smelly drains (especially kitchen) * dirty bed linens

We had a lovely stay at Dogwood Lane Lodge! The house is clean and as described, and the location is great. There aren’t a lot of frills so bring whatever need and there’s a nice shop a five minute drive away in case you forget anything. Overall, we had a great time! Thank you!

The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and spacious. Good location, easy access. Outdoor living area, hot tub, and wrap around deck are quite nice. The cabin had a great fire pit area also. Wi-fi was strong. However, most cabins this size and expense come with a washer and dryer for guests to use and larger TV's.

Gorgeous, perfect property, artfully designed and well maintained. Beautiful kitchen. Hot tub a big advantage. Effective air conditioning. Lovely bathrooms. Nice touches were bathmats and night lights. Host responsive to questions. Everyone loved it. Thanks for the amazing week.

The house was the perfect place to celebrate my husbands birthday with lifelong friends and family. Everyone was very comfortable and had an excellent time. Awesome location for hiking in Hocking Hills. I would definitely come back.

Mother's Day weekend trip to Hocking Hills. Beautiful location, lots of space for everyone, great deck for bird watching- we had a fantastic time!

Everything was nice at the cabin but the manager is rude and makes sure to let you know your a waste of his time and waste yours by not helping out with check in when there's no service to pull emails from months ago. An email closer to the trip with check in code would be nice. I'd prefer to stay somewhere that provides customer service for the price we paid.

The cabin was beautiful and the location was very woodsy and private. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. A great place for family gathering.

Great location and a large cabin . The WiFi was really bad. ( I know , I know , why use the internet but we had a hard time booking things while in cabin) and the outside firepit area was covered with trash. A new fridge is needed but overall was happy with the property.

Very roomy and comfortable. Feels like home.

Loved the wrap around porch that the grandkids could run around on and they enjoyed the pool table very much. Everything was very close and within a short driving distance. It was also nice the cabin was in a small cul-de-sac so there was very little traffic. One thing that would have been nice is if there were brochures highlighting all the nearby trails and maybe a personal list of nearby restaurant recommendations l.

We rented the cabin to attend and celebrate our daughter graduating from OU.

Pictures make it seem a lot more luxurious than it actually is. Must of edited the listing photos with saturation. TVs are comically small for the space. Coffee pot was broken and fans in the bathrooms start making an awful noise after about 2 mins on. That being said though, the heat kept us plenty warm, the hot tub was great, the appliances helped us make great meals. There are better places for less though. Pics make it look nicer than it is

We had a blast staying at this house. Centrally located to all hiking trails and very clean house.

Very nice vacation home, surrounded by woods. Wrap around porch, hot tub & fire pit were enjoyed by everyone & definitely added to the weekend. 5 nice size bedrooms & larger seating areas. Kitchen area & dining area smaller than we thought but had everything we needed to prepare meals. Very little flat land for the kids to play other than on the porch. Would definitely consider renting again.

The property was beautiful. Enough space for everyone to move around and not feel on top of each other. fire pit & hot tub extra bonus. Location was spot on. Close to all the trails and sights. highly recommend.

Property has a lot of potential. Plenty of space for a large family. The cleanliness of the interior of the house could be stepped up a few notches. The stove and dishwasher are outdated. The outside also Could use some TLC. Clearing some of the brush out from around the house and driveway. The fire pit needs to have more stones around the seating area so it’s not so muddy. Found wasps/bees in the upstairs bedroom. Miscellaneous items, socks, dryer sheets pair of manicure scissors were all found in different beds. Washer and dryer would be nice to have on location. Nice location near many attractions such as Hocking Hills State Park, hiking trails, tubing, boat rentals. All in all wasn’t a bad place. Walked away with great family memories.

We had a fantastic time in the Hocking Hills area and found the cabin perfect for our group. It was in great condition and plenty of room for all of us. The thing we all liked best about it was the huge wraparound covered deck. Our weather wasn't ideal with off-and-on rain, and despite that we were able to spend our time outside because of the covered deck. Despite the rain, we had enough non-rain times to do everything we wanted to do as far as hikes, brewery visit, sightseeing, and bonfires. The cabin was in a great location for access to all the top attractions at Hocking Hills. Access to the cabin was easy with the keypad, but the driveway could be a bit tricky if you have four or five cars like we did. One issue we had was that the upstairs bedroom had a wasp problem, with wasps coming in up at the peak of the vaulted ceiling. We called Joey at the maintenance number and he was there within a half hour and got it all taken care of and we didn't see another wasp the rest of the time. That made a huge difference, since we had 5 couples for 5 bedrooms and if that bedroom turned out to be unusable, it would have been a big negative. The quick response was much appreciated! Bottom line, we strongly recommend this cabin for any others that have a big group.

Everything went great except part of the check-in process. I would recommend adding the check-in info to the app after booking so the door code is available upon arrival, or sending a direct message with the code. We had to call a few times to ahold of somebody to tell us the code last minute. They stated the email was sent multiple times, but I never received it. Could be a one time issue, but not sure. So a little quicker response/communication about this info would’ve been great. The employee was very nice and helpful when I got ahold of them though and everything was smooth from there. The cabin was great and we will definitely stay there again!

In the evenings, you can sit around a campfire and make s’mores or play pool. We saw deer and 2 fawns from the deck. You will not be disappointed in this cabin.

The Cabin had a beautiful setting, very clean, just perfect for our getaway even with two days of rain.

The property was great, very good location for all the Hocking Hills parks. The owner is not friendly and threatens additions all charges for everything.

We had a great time with family. 14 of us had plenty of space and enjoyed our time together. Cabin in a peaceful, beautiful spot in the woods and close to the places we like to visit. Loved the wrap around porch and fire ring. We did have some issues and wanted to share so that others aren’t dealing with these issues. - couldn’t get in on time because we didn’t get the access code until Sunday evening - tv on main level was broken but quickly replaced when management notified - charcoal grill could use an update. It had holes due to rust - had issues with mice that got into suitcase and chewed packing cube in closet, bread on top of refrigerator, in drawers and cupboards in kitchen. Had to use coolers to store items that were attractive to mice. One chewed things in night stand drawer in bedroom. Notified management but heard nothing other than it was referred to maintenance. - cupboards not clean - coffeemaker was in poor repair although it worked - bathroom on main level had mold in corner of shower and dust on amount of dust on base boards was evidence it hadn’t received attention in a long time - one couch on lower level we found was broken down on one end and torn upholstery. Didn’t see that until night before we left. Lower level used only for bedrooms, bath and pool table. - no fusball table as noted in description - no coin operated washer and dryer as noted in property description. We packed thinking there was going to be a washer and dryer that we found was 15 miles away - dishwasher wasn’t working and in need of attention - dish towel supply minimal for amount of dishes we did to address mice and dish washer function - trash bags, toilet paper and paper towel supply minimal Next trip will not be at Dogwood Lane Lodge. Have had great results with vrbo in past and will continue to use them to book our stays. For the money we spent for this cabin, I had higher expectations.

I did want to let you know if the dishwasher works, I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. We really enjoyed ourselves!!!!
