From the start with great communication before arrival & everything was great, from organising a safari trip 4hr, 2 x per private Jeep tour for $120 only The food was also lovely breakfast & evening meals.

Tiron und seine Familie sind wahnsinnig herzlich und empfingen uns direkt sehr freundlich. Wir wurden mit einem leckeren Abendessen und Frühstück versorgt. Das Highlight war natürlich die Safari, die komplett organisiert wurde und absolut empfehlenswert war!

We had an amazing 2 nights here. The family are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The homemade food was delicious including the packed lunch we had for our safari. The safari was organised by the owner, and was an unforgettable experience.Vishwa was our guide, he is the best!

A very friendly family home. The facilities were quite good for the price we paid. The food was delicious and homemade. The owner can arrange a safari jeep to see elephants in Udawalawe National Park.

Our experience in Mansala Safari House was a total delight, we could not ask for more. The house is idilic, really clean and beautiful. The hotel is owned by Tiron and his family, and they make you feel like if you were at home. We had dinner and breakfast there, and everything was homemade and delicious. We arranged the safari around Uda Walawe with them, and it was a magnificent experience. Any request we made to them, they were glad to help us. We would 100% recommend our stay!

Nothing, everything was totally perfect!

Overall really lovely place to stay. The location was great to get to the national parks and the setting of the house was lovely. What made our stay was the service from Tiron and his family who instantly made us feel welcome and gave us anything we needed. They made us a delicious home made Sri Lanka dish also which was amazing. Highly recommend.

Big room with big terrace; privacy; nice and big garden; very serving and careful hosts

All I can say is I totally agree with the other reviews! We were a little wary as the price was quite low but it was fantastic- we liked the semi-outdoor bathroom and were perfect distance from the safari park. We were there just under 24-hours but it was a quiet, safe and welcoming environment. Tiron was a very genuine and thoughtful host and they seemed a lovely family.

Everything, especially the gracious hospitality of the hosts. We were spending one night in the property to head to the Udawalawae National a park the following morning. Property is about a 10 minute drive from the park and the host sorted all aspects of the tour for us. My daughter had fractured two fingers earlier in the day and he made calls and arranged everything at the local hospital for her medical needs, even accompanying us late in the night to ensure everything was taken care of. The home made breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Our stay at Mansala Safari House and the Udawalawe safari Tiron organized for us were both AMAZING! First, the guest house: the rooms and property are truly beautiful—really thoughtfully designed rooms with high ceilings, beautiful wood ceilings and accents, and large windows and balconies; spotlessly clean; comfortable bed/bedding/pillows; a fantastic shower with great water pressure and unlimited hot water; beautiful views of all the lush greenery… the list goes on and on. Tiron and his family are the sweetest and most thoughtful hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay, from preparing delicious meals to being super responsive over WhatsApp when I had a few questions before we arrived to figuring out when a direct bus to Galle was coming and driving us to the nearby bus stand to ensure we were able to catch it to arranging us a fantastic safari and giving us honest feedback on the best time of day to do it at this time of year (the afternoon). Tiron even ended up picking us up from Ella when we asked if he could arrange us a taxi. Just fantastic hospitality and kindness on top of a beautiful place to stay. Second, the safari Tiron organized for us: wow! We were blown away by the number of elephants we were able to see and how close we were able to get to them. Our driver was fantastic—very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions while also allowing us to sit in silence and just admire the animals, made sure we got to multiple spots in the park where elephants were gathering, respected the elephants and never tried to chase them or get too close (and backed up when one seemed a bit bothered), and helped us spot a lot of other animals as well (including a jackal we never would have seen on our own). The safari jeep was very comfortable and allowed for excellent viewing in every direction. Just a fantastic, once in a lifetime experience!

Incredible kindness and service from Tiron(host) and his family. He organized a shuttle for us from Mirissa to this lovely venue. He also organized an absolut amazing private safari tour for us, including a super friendly driver who explained and showed us a lot of the Udalawawe National Park. We did the 6 hours tour inclusive delicious selfmade breakfast. Afterwards he organized a shuttle from the Mansala Safari House to Ella for us. Thank you so much for this nice experience! Service 10/10.

This place has amazing vibe. Our room was perfect for what we needed, bed was really comfortable, AC, fan, beautiful garden, balcony, very nice style in general and of course Tiron and his family - wonderful people. We really regret we didnt plan to stay more time and enjoy Mansala Safari House but If next time we come to Sri Lanka, we will definitely come back. Breakfast was SUPERB ❤️

Tiron is so nice!! We had a great breakfast, a big room, warm water. It has a nice garden and is very quiet. Recommend it a lot :-)

The hosts were amazing to say the least! They were so friendly and helpful. We went on a safari arranged by the host and it was spectacular! We saw at least 60-70 elephants, many of which were only a few feet away from our Jeep. We had dinner and breakfast at the house which was made by the hosts, and it was definitely among the best meals that we had in our week long stay in Sri Lanka. You will not find a better place to stay in Udawalawe.

What a wonderful stay. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Now... The family! What absolutely wonderful and kind hosts! From the delicious food that was cooked to my request, to the nice company and conversation. I am so glad I found the Mansala Safari House. I spent 12 nights in Sri Lanka, and this was easily my favorite stay.

That i didn't stay longer!

We really liked the hospitality in this house. The hosts were extremely nice and attentive. The organization of the safari was great, we really enjoyed! We had a cool outdoor bathroom! The dinner food was sooo good.

Although the food at dinner was great, it could have been a bit more. The AC didn't work in one room. Otherwise, there is not much else what we didn't like.

The owner and his family were incredibly lovely. when we arrived he bought us drinks and cake and had a chat with us. He organised a great safari and lent us his binoculars and sent us with water and snacks. He also drove us to our next destination and provided us with water for the journey. The room was lovely and spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Mansala safari house and our hosts were an absolute delight. The property is beautiful, as are the wonderful family who own it. The room was clean and tidy and the location was perfect for our early morning safari - which was helpfully arranged in advance by our host. The breakfast was also absolutely delicious! Thank you again for having us.

Mansala Safari House went above and beyond my expectations. The house itself is beautiful and peaceful, you can sit on the terrace and watch loads of birds and squirrels moving around. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious and it had a fan and AC. Tiron and his wife are fantastic hosts, they assisted me in organizing my transport to and from Udawalawe, booking a safari, and they even loaned me binoculars for it. The wifi connection was good and during the power cuts Tiron turned on the generator. Finally, I have to mention the food, it was some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka. They were kind enough to cater to my vegan diet and provided so much diversity. I had booked for one night but stayed for two and ate breakfast and dinner with them. Can't recommend Mansala enough!

The house was beautiful and a great location for a safari at Udawalawe. The family were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and the food was delicious. We stayed here one night for an early morning safari. Tiron (the owner) organised everything for us and even had breakfast waiting for us when we got back. We loved our stay here. Would highly recommend.

The setting was lovely. We sat watching the chipmunks in the tree for ages. Our family room had two large double beds and a large bathroom. The family running the guest house were really kind and friendly. Our son played with their kids and watched tv with them. The food was outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast were up there with the best we’ve had on the whole trip. A very enjoyable stay.

very clean and spacious room, with a great balcony and view in the wonderful garden of the family and a comfortable bed. everything was well organized, we booked a safari in the morning and even got a snack package to take with us. dinner and breakfast were both very generous and we enjoyed our short stay! would definitely recommend to friends and family to book mansala safari house, thank you!!! :)
