Our stay at this resort was absolutely amazing! The weather was beautiful, the resort was modern, constantly cleaned, and had plenty of things to do! This resort was more laid back but you have free access to the other RIU resorts in Cancun for the parties. My fiancé and I loved the food and the room. Upgrading to Elite club was worth the money in our opinion. Exclusive pool, gifts for your room each day, exclusive restaurant, and not to mention the red carpet upon check-in is a great touch! My only complaints would be the food at the Italian restaurant. We visited the Italian restaurant and did not have a very great experience. The food wasn’t fresh at the salad bar there. But the resort buffet always served great food each night! Breakfast at the buffet was also very good each morning as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I don’t speak much Spanish so they really helped me out. Overall, wonderful experience! Would definitely come back for another stay!

The scammed us for money saying i broke my door frame to my room. It was like that when we checked in. They help me hostage for 4000 pesos and wouldnt let me leave. Very sad i have stayed at a bunch of places in cancun this was by far the WORST. Stay far awat

Overall the resort was great! Cons:Maybe I’m picky but the sheets were not comfortable and the bed was very hard. I wish there was more wine choices as there was no rose unless you wanted to pay more which I find ridiculous. Pros: One of the cleanest resorts I have ever stayed at. Fun atmosphere overall and the beach was gorgeous. Food was pretty good the breakfast buffet especially. Almost anything you could think of was an option.

The food was terrible. The room was great but the food was awful. The breakfast was not good, the lunch buffet was bad and the Asian restaurant was not edible. The best food was the lunch near the pool. And the upgrade to the excellence club was a waste. The “special” pool was deep and nothing special. DO NOT GET IT!!! Overall if you don’t care about the food or don’t have a palate go ahead and stay.

Had a great time at the resort. The staff was wonderful. The weather turned miserable when a hurricane passed by so they shut most of the hotel down but they still had delicious food options and the staff worked over time to keep everyone safe. Drinks were amazing and food was top notch. Loved my room and view. Only downside they want to limit you to one towel to use at the pool. They make you use a card to check out the towel. Very odd. I travel a lot and have never seen that before. Otherwise loved my trip and would go again.

Would recommend this hotel . Not very large but rooms are clean and food is decent would stay here again . Beach and pools are very nice and service was excellent . The staff is very friend my Would not recommend the transportation through Expedia destination devices. Horrible and rude staff and extremely disorganized and unwilling to help . We had to wait almost two hours to get transferred to hotel and had to Uber back

The transportation was our biggest issue ...we paid for shuttle service and both ways we had to paid private taxi. On our departure we were in the lobby for over an 1 hr only to be told that our transportation left us. The guys who is responsible for this transition knew were waithing and in my opinion deliberately did not tell us bec he wanted us to miss our ride so he could use his friend as pri ate taxi and charge us $ 50 !!!...i felt were were victams of a scam. We were on our honeymoon and and we didnt feel special at all ...sometime the room was not ready ..it was defiantly not homeymoon ready.

i liked the cleanliness of property. workers are constantly cleaning,,i loved the hospitality, everyone made u feel special and welcomed every time theyd see you. the food was most excellent even though one was a buffet bar, items were very tasty delicious and hot or cold as needed to be. beach was always very clean like i said everyone always welcoming you. all the wait staff always wanting to bring you more and more and more drinks ie.. beer wine drinks colas. i will definitely be back sooner than later

I had an amazing time. It was my birthday and everything was awesome! The room and property were very clean. The food was delicious, probably one of the best buffets I’ve ever had on a resort! Pepe’s which is a grill by the pool had amazing food. The only food that was just decent was the restaurant food. The restaurant(s) food wasn’t bad it just wasn’t anything spectacular; I prefer the buffet. Also, I had an ocean view room and the weather was beautiful so I loved relaxing on the balcony. I also appreciated that I could see the resort filling the public water tanks with bottled water. The only small cons that I noticed are 1. if you’re looking for a party resort they don’t really have any big parties at this resort. However, while I was there they provided a shuttle to go to another Rui destination that was only 5 minutes up the road to join their party for free. So you do have options throughout the week to travel to other parties on other Rui resorts if you want. The other second very small con, is we just didn’t realize house keeping came into the rooms twice in the day (once in the morning to clean, and then once in the evening to remake the bed (if needed) and close the blackout curtains. This isn’t a bad thing but our group of females just wasn’t aware so it took us a second to realize that it was housekeeping coming in the rooms at night and there was nothing strange going on. The last part was just more of an FYI. Overall I 100% recommend and will def. return!

Super clean, friendly staff, delicious food! Kukulkan is more of a calm vibe but you can take a free shuttle to any of the Riu resorts if you want to party. The views are amazing & staff is very attentive. This was my second time staying here and I would be back.

Great hotel close to shopping. Everything is very new and modern. Even though it’s smaller than other resorts it’s still really nice and big enough to spend all day. The cons are the restaurant dinner food is not the best. Buffet breakfast and lunch has good options. The beach is nice but the waves are very rough at this side of the island. If you want calm waves you should stay at the other Riu hotels. The good thing is you have access to all the other Riu hotels so we spent one day at Riu Carribe and another at Riu palace. Plus they provide free shuttles to the Riu parties and round trip to the airport. Overall I would definitely go back.

My experience at this Riu was horrible. Staff are beyond racist. None of them was welcoming. Never will return there again. I fell returning because of the poor service at the pool party hookah and got gigantic burn.

Well I wouldn’t stay at this Rui again so boring an no entertainment on premise food was good, with the hotel being rated at 9.0 I was really disappointed nothing extra or extravagant about the hotel at all I like the Rui Latino better. The parties at the Rui Caribe was a failure also just wasn’t what I expected at all 😔👎👎👎👎👎

We’ve been to many all-inclusive in Cancun. This property was amazing! The staff was professional, kind and funny. Property was immaculate. The food was very good~from The buffet to the Steak restaurant. Food and service outstanding

The property was fantastic! We didn’t eat at every restaurant, but the buffet choices were great & it had a different theme each night, & the steak house very good. We received impeccable service all over the resort, from the restaurants, the pools, the bars, to the cleaning staff. We reported a slow draining shower, & they had it fixed by the time we came back from dinner! If I had to critique anything, it would be have more than one bartender in the lobby bar so the wait for drinks isn’t as long & have all the restaurants open every night instead of alternating nights. They can get busy, & sometimes have a lengthy wait. But overall, we loved it & had an amazing trip & would not hesitate to stay again!

I had a wonderful time at Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan! The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind throughout my stay. They truly made my experience unforgettable. From the stunning views to the exceptional service, everything was perfect. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

The hotel is amazing, it is on the beach, has 4 pools, bars, restaurants and is within walking distance to other shopping areas. The staff is amazing and takes care of the guests all day long, with drinks, food, and any other request. We will definitely be back another time.
