Great great great location. Lots of local places to eat around for any wallet. Unlike any other hotel/hostel we stayed at in China they left slippers for taking shower. The staff is friendly. We had fresh towels and empty trash bin every day.

The size of the room is toooo small. We could barely turn around in it. But ok, this is a hostel. Everyone is just too loud! Even though there is a sign in the hallway, everyone just keeps talking loudly or laughing in the hallway no matter the time of day. The walls are too thin. Every time someone entered a room next door it felt like we are being intruded. I was so confused as for was it our door being opened or just a neighbouring one. I got sick during the stay probably coz they let sick people work at the front desk. The girl who met us at the front desk coughed non stop. Then same night she was walking down the hallway coughing again and it was really loud. Also, the ac is above the bed and blows right in your face. Another contributor to getting sick.

The property is extremely close to the station and surrounded with great food vendors and stores! The hostel was extremely welcoming especially because the staff are very knowledgeable and kind. It was my first time in China and two staff members, Cheyanne and Allena, we’re constantly talking to me and helping me with anything I needed. If I needed ticket reservations they were there to help along with room changes and extensions I had ! The overall staff are extremely kind and definitely made me feel welcome in the hostel. I cant recommend the hostel enough, especially for the price! Its in a perfect location so close to downtown with staff that are always ready to help. You can’t go wrong staying here.

No downsides I felt with the property.

The staff were super helpful, especially a young lady the morning I checked out who changed a 100yuan bill for me so I had smaller change. There were lots of social activities hosted by the hostel to meet other travellers which as a solo traveller choosing a private room was great! The location is fantastic, only a few mins from IFS and the Chunxi road metro station. The room is clean and comfortable. Perfect place to stay for a visit to Chengdu

Only a minor thing is the shower pressure wasn't great, everything else was fantastic

I unexpectedly had to leave one night earlier and although i only checked out without prior notice at 4pm, they still refunded me the last night. I found that really generous! The room was not ultimately clean (but what can you expect in a 10 person dorm?) but clean enough, spacious and with good facilities. So quite satisfied with the stay!

We had the private room and it was a very simple and clean experience. The location is excellent being right next to the chunxi station. May, one of the staff, was very helpful with organising trips for us and with any other requests we had around the hostel :) would highly recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a good deal

Despite looking a bit old, the air conditioning in our room worked very well, allowing us to sleep well on a very hot summer night. The hostel itself has a young and international vibe, which is also quite lovely.

Payment with Visa/MasterCard wasn't possible :-(

Girl at the front desk was quite unpleasant and unhelpful. Also found out from another guest that they’d received a free welcome drink at the cafe whereas we had to pay for ours. Rooms weren’t ready on arrival despite arriving after 4 PM.

location is perfect and very central, rooms are comfortable enough for a hostel, I like the traditional feel of the tea table and beds on the floor (supposed to be good for your back!) pool table and book collection in the communal area is a nice addition and the staff were friendly. there’s a great bar across the street and a fruit market right outside the door

I had friends stay here before COVID and they mentioned how great it was, weekly activities like cooking classes and movie nights, reception staff who could help you book trips etc. unfortunately after COVID it seems this is no longer the case. Only one staff member helped us book a trip, none of the others knew what to do despite us asking about the main tourist trips of Chengdu which surely they’d know, no weekly activities, very poor laundry area. I hope they can return to their usual standards pre-COVID because apparently this place used to be great.

The staff is very attentive and helpful and speak English well. Excellent location near the subway, street food and outdoor mall. The location was better than I realized after changing hotels. With that said, pay a little extra and go for the private room. It would be a better experience. I liked the privacy curtain in the bed and it was a relatively comfortable mattress. Charging outlets and night light in the bed were very convenient. The laundry is a great amenity and the reason I chose the hotel.

It's really hard to give this hotel a bad score, but equally hard to give it a good score. I can't necessarily blame the hotel for the low rating, it has a lot of great features - location, price, staff, laundry, but my personal experience with the guests make me question why the rating is so high. This review isn't indicative of the hotel, but rather the mixed dorm option, which I'd strongly advise against unless you are ok with the potential below happening. I can't think of a worse dorm room experience in my life and I've stayed in dorms in over 50+ countries and hundreds of times. The guests in the 10-bed dorm have terrible hygiene, which makes the shared bathroom and therefore the room smell awful. The bathroom was exceptionally dirty. The shower is gross - toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap just left on the mirror shelf. Toilet paper on the ground, toilets not flushed on multiple occasions with poop and pee, towels hanging in the bathroom. Guests had no regard for dorm mates - talking loudly and playing video games on their phones until very late hours, sometimes after 1 AM. Turning on lights and making lots of noise very early in the morning. A little respect would be a valuable lesson and maybe should be shared with the disrespectful guests through signage. I changed locations after my reservation ended and stayed in a private room in a more luxurious hotel for a couple of nights. I would end by saying you get what you pay for so I can't blame the hotel, but rather the dorm experience.
