Very small room, but the bed was comfortable. The room head a noisy damaged sliding glass door that's needed me to rig something up so it wasn't unsleepable. Homeless people we're running along the streets outside. On a busy road with tons of dining nearby, and only 5 to 10 minutes from the ocean was the same in

Very comfortable beds. Great to have a balcony. Some parts of our room need to be updated (bottom of bathroom door was peeling apart, microwave was on its last legs). Convenient to stores and restaurants. Cleaning staff were friendly. Pool was clean and at a comfortable temperature. At breakfast there were tea bags but no hot water. Also, there was no decaf coffee.

I stay here regularly. They serve coffee in the lobby in the morning only, but the hotel is next to Dunkin Donuts anyway. I like this hotel and would recommend it.

The room was dirty, there were stains on the walls, the bedsheets were stained, we saw a few roaches and we complained and considered checking out earlier but were told we couldn't because we booked through hotels.com and not them so we would not get a refund. Never again will i stay at a Howard Johnson. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Expedia was the only problem in regards to this particular booking. The application changed the booking date and it took me one hour to get them to correct the problem and reschedule my booking with the manager at the front desk.
Saved $7 and lost 2 hours of our time to include the time of the location manager who had to work with us and Expedia to Create a new reservation.
Expedia is never worth the aggravation.

Super pleased with the owners and management team. Staff was amazing. Super helpful and friendly. I found this property to be very well maintained and the grounds were meticulously cared for.
There are concerns in regards to the locals as they appeared to be nefarious individuals randomly milling around the hotel out the immediate area of the site. There is noticeable evidence of a collapsing socioeconomic in the area, causing concern for the welfare of hotel patrons.

The shower walls were covered in hair. The hallways smelled and the room. We were woken up at 11pm till midnight with loud music in the smell of weed. I would stay on far away from this establishment as you can.

We were in town for eight days and stayed at three different properties. Howard Johnson’s by far was the best value for the money. Our room was very comfortable. Good mattresses, good air conditioning, nice towels and quiet. The bathroom was not totally updated but again for the price we paid it was very nice. We will stay again.

Overall, the hotel was fine but I was very disappointed that the website stated free breakfast - free coffee, juice and granola bars should not be considered breakfast. We were also surprised that there was no housekeeping during our stay and we were told that has to be requested - before 9am! The women that worked the desk were very friendly, the men were not!

We booked a last minute reservation for 1 night at the HoJo. The lobby smells of stale smoke. We had a 1st floor room near the check in office. The US1 traffic noise and other guest noise was load, like they were inside with us. The bathroom is old - the tub doesn’t drain and there was hair on the walls. There was a sticky residue on the nightstand. The bed covers were stained. Won’t be back at the HoJo again.

This is not a hotel.this is just a motel with a slight upgrade.the owner(s) need to do some renovations...the inside need to be more modern and the pool need to be taken care of.the furniture and shower head is outdated.

My room was fine. They have done a bit of updating in the room itself but they did not get to the bathroom. Bathroom needs a new door, a new faucet in shower, and better cleaning. The exhaust fan was so completely covered in dust that there was no way is was pulling out any heat or anything else.
Other than the bathroom it was a fine stay. The pool area looked nice but it was a quick stay so didn't get a chance to swim.

Very basic. Clean enough but very outdated. Bright orange wall decor was a bit overwhelming. Carpet smells if you don’t run the AC 24/7. If you’re there for only for a nap I guess yes it’s worth it. The location was not bad. There are grocery, drugstore and coffee shops around.
