Room was very clean. Beds very comfortable.

Really rough and unkempt property.

First off- the lobby was disgusting. I hope it was stuff salvaged from the other OYO property near this location. Piles of papers, food packaging, equipment was everywhere. And the space that’s a “restaurant” looks like it is full to brim with supplies. It says that there is a pool, and while technically there is, it was completely empty and not in service. Every time housekeeping came through, they took our linens and didn’t leave fresh which meant we had to go request them from the lobby.

The front desk clerk was a total jerk from the time I entered until I left. He became confrontational when I told him not to run Security Code on my cc. He said he was doing me a favor but I continued to protest and return card to me. He demanded I leave at that point and I advised to credit my credit card and he said he could not do that. I left this hotel without a room as it was not possible to locate another hotel in Tyler, Texas at 9 pm and within a 75 miles circumference. We were in Tyler for a funeral but were unable to remain due to this jerk as an employee for oyo. If he is a representative of oyo, they are in trouble. We left Tyler at 10 pm and drove 11 hours or 400 miles back home, missing our friend’s funeral. We have not been compensated for this night due to the arrogance and fighting attitude of this clerk. He was acting like he he wanted to come out and fight over this matter, which I would have welcomed. Totally uncalled for by this incompetent employee. In all of my 60+ years of travel, I have never been disrespected by a hotel staff as I was at oyo in Tyler, Texas. My wife is distraught in missing the funeral.😡

Smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom is not inviting, the soap and shampoo looks like its been there for years. Towels were greyish. Pillow smelled like the pillowcase hadn't been changes. Good price for what we received though. You get what you pay for.

I did NOT take my socks off. I woke up with little itchy bug bites on my legs. I'm thinking bed bugs but who knows. I booked a different hotel, forget whatever it cost me to ditch that rez.

Didn't like 8 dead/dying bugs/roaches in the room that probably came in thru 1/2" gap at door seal. All rooms are nonsmoking is a joke & clerk let me know I was assigned a smoking room (!!). Na

The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay.

The hotel wasn’t nothing like the link. The hotel trashed out washer and dryer and tub sitting outside. Oh the link says breakfast included but when I get there they tell me no breakfast.

The property is run down. Floor carpet is old and smelly.

One manager lady rude. And we ask no room service and still come in and walk pass us

When you check in you also have to put a deposit down beside the cost of the room. The room deodorizer smells terrible. The front office is junky

Upon checkout the front desk lady accused me of having additional unauthorized guest because I had someone come early to pick up my belongings. She was was very loud and disrespectful

The staff are excellent warm and friendly couldn't ask for better, my room was clean fresh linen, but the property could use better upkeep,

Thee owners.. wife was very rule and accused me of taking towels that i didn't do... and she was questioning me if i a male friend in the room with me she said heard a man's voice not true

This place needs a major renovation

THEY ROBBED ME!!!! Idk what the issue was but I get there on Thursday night, the people that was doing me off let their dog out to use the restroom before they left and the men wouldn’t open the door for me telling me he can turn down service for any reason. I tried to explain that they wasn’t with me but he ignored me. After awhile he told me they was going to refund my money back, Soo I had to walk off to find somewhere to stay. The next day they all took the money me. I walked back over from super 8, (great place by the way, lovely service) the last I spoke with was nice and told me they was going to refund my money back, I wait the 24 hours and still no money so on Saturday I call their customer service, the THEY WERE RUDE AS HELL. But they said they’ll give me a call back in 24 hours(no for a second time), and here it is Monday and still no money or call back.

It was very junky there were whole toilets and mattresses sitting outside of rooms and it smelled awful

The service was wonderful. But there was so much wrong with my room for starters I paid for a king bed but only got a full size bed.

Arrived in room and my key didn't work. After getting new keys I entered room to find the sheets were soiled with blood and hair. Pool was closed with no water in it.

When I arrive and make the payment, he asks me for a 50dlr deposit, I pay with my card and the next day I find out that my 50dlr deposit is returned to me in 10 to 15 days

ASTONISHINGLY TERRIBLE! In my 49 years and many travels, I've never stayed in a worse hotel. I called to let the desk know I'd be arriving late and was assured they were open 24 hours, but upon arriving around midnight the building was dark and all doors were locked, the night bell was non-functional, the ancient paging phone didn't work either, and I ended up pounding on the glass lobby doors for several minutes until someone wandered out to check me in. The lobby, by the way, is permanently closed even during the daytime hours and you can only check in/out through a plexiglass window despite what the online pictures showed! The bedroom decor hadn't been touched since sometime in the 1980s (peeling wallpaper, ancient furniture), the pillows were thin, and the towels both thin and tiny. The floor was somewhat dirty (not terrible, but not clean). The worst part was the pool, which was jet black with algae growth and clearly hadn't been maintained in many years! You couldn't pay me to stay there again. Surely there is some sort of state licensing or minimum standards or something right? This place FAILS, horrifically. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, just sleep in your car.

Roaches

Clean and dependable, comfortable, and friendly hotel. This is a very well priced and always improving property that is the nicest in this area.
