We stayed 6days/5 nights in Rm 608. We were pleased with Club Suite Rm with balcony- ocean view. Shout out to the following staff : Valeris from front desk- for always welcoming and accommodating all the time. She sent me a surprise bday cake up in our room! Also to Spider-Man -Joseu, Cesar and Giovanni. For our cocktails and my micktIls! Piñada! To Reuben for our lunch by the beach! Catch of the day and Tokoya were delicious! Thanks to All of you. You are All the Best! We will be back -soon! And to Jean for taking time to chat on his daily rounds in the resort. This is an Oasis for us. We found our place here! God Bless All! - (Fridays)

I was unable to stay at this property because my flight was cancelled due to a hurricane. The hotel is not responding to my request for a refund or a at the very least a credit. The flight cancelation is completely out my my control, there’s no sense of compassion or understanding and I will be making a report with the Better Business Bureau

Great customer service

It was an awesome experience staying here. The staff are really friendly, great cusyomer service, clean environment, lovely fragrance and amazing facilities.

Great staff and services. Beach was very nice and there is a convenience store (Go Mart) below the hotel within three minutes walk.

Great Beach

We really enjoyed our spacious Ocean View Room at this property. Great ameneties and detail to a comfortable stay. We could not hear anyone in the rooms next to us, except those rude ones in the hallway- these were infrequent. The staff is very friendly and very helpful in providing transportation tips. Please go online and arrange your transportation from the airport and back because the hotel doesn't have a shuttle and the taxi cab will gouge you badly at the airport. We paid $85 for ride to hotel and then found a random taxi driver on the street that took us to airport on day of return for $35. All of the food was very good at all of the food establishments at the hotel. The prices are what you pay in the U.S.,as this is not a budget destination. The only bad moment was bad waiter service on the beach and being charged $10 for a Shirley temple (a can of Sprite and a small cup with a bit of grenadine and ice) because it was labled as an alcoholic drink. We paid half for an orange spritzer. The beach is small, but lovely. Do make sure to get out early morn or late in afternoon to get an oceanfront covered lounge area. If you want to do the breakfast buffet, also go early because it fills up fast. I do wish they had a microwave in the room, but that was only downside. It is a bit of a walk to the party area, about 20 minutes, but there are packed buses or a taxi right across the street if u want. The hotel has all kinds of water toys to rent or a spa if you prefer land fun!

Very clean property and room. Hospitable staff and service was good throughout the resort. The food at the restaurants was also pretty good.

Beach

Can absolutly recommend this hotel,stayed in a nice queen room with a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was amazing, has everything you want ; omelette station, freshly baked bread, fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, wafles, pancakes, mexikan specialites etc. Even candy! The beach by the hotel is beautiful, white sand & palmes, they clean for sea weed every morning. Had dinner at the hotel as well and that was also very good. Friendly staff everywhere. The only tving we did not liked was the layout of the bathroom, it is really strange and sort of need one more door. It does not gives a lot of privacy, hope they change this.

The staff and service were incredible and the resort was beautiful. Prices were great and food was absolutely out of this world. I’m going back next year.

Good stay

It was a quiet time. That was all what we needed it.

The day was wonderful and super enjoyable however, I did have a missing shirt. Unfortunately, I was not able to get it back because of the lack of time.

Lovely small hotel on a great beachside location. The hotel has amazing friendly staff who all had a smile. Our rooms 604 and 608 were on the top floor of the low rise part of the hotel with access to the club lounge which included complementary cooked breakfast and evening cocktails and snacks - our teen age son made the most of this! The hotel was full but felt uncrowded with beach beds being available all of the time. The spa service is excellent as was the 24hr gym although it was quite small. There are 2 restaurants which had ok food but great views onto the beach. The beach is lovely and the sea had a small amount of seagrass. Small amount of fish - I do wish the hotel would place a few large rocks out on the sea bed to attract fish and marine life. Our rooms were large with a nice ensuite. The balcony overlooked the sea. Only negatives are at check in there was poor communication or language problems and we had to have temporary rooms for 2 of the 7 nights at the hotel. They did however put us up in thr presidential suite which is huge and very nice. We did feel they did their best to accommodate us under the circumstances and genuinely felt like they were keen to keep guests happy. It’s an old hotel and feels like you are somewhere which has aged well and was an oasis of peace and relaxation while other hotels around it would be super busy. Finally best thing about the hotel is that they keep the pool open till 10pm often longer so it was a popular spot.

Staff is helpful. But needs better food selection.

We usually vacation in Cancun at least once a year and Presidente Intercontinental is our to go stay! I love the facilities and service provided. I have to highlight the extraordinary service and attention received by chef Luis Mahai from Le Cap restaurant. His cook is amazing, he’s attentive and goes above and beyond to please the guests. If you visit don’t miss out and try his cook. You won’t regret it!!!

The place beautiful, nice clean

Here for 2 nd time . Hotel was great , great services , room clean but need some improvements. Biggest concern for us is the air conditioning is not cold it is high as 22.5 F at the coldest . But it is still not cold enough for the hot weather outside. The maintenance “ Try to fixed “ but still same temperature . We asked again bout the air conditioning so at the end the give us the fan to use . It shouldn’t a problem but it is . Room is clean but in general is ok .

It was a clean and safe stay

Very clean, beautiful beach, the staff very helpful. Very nice property in general. What we didn't like was the prices of the food and drinks at the restaurant within the property. Extremely expensive! The breakfast buffet around $40.00 dls cnd a person! An espresso $7.00 dls cnd and so on...ridiculous! There are some options for breakfast across the street from the property, not bad.

The Beach was phenomenal

Every year I visit Intercontinental and this visit was different. When we arrived check in lasted 1.5 hours and would’ve been longer had I not gotten up to inquire why my room was taking so long, it was also way past 3p and check in time and our rooms still were not ready. The grounds seem a bit worn and the food was not good. We went out to find food often because the restaurants with exception of Le Cap were not good. Staff also was not as attentive as in the past. There was so much algae on the beach and have never seen it this way in previous times. It grossed me out to get in the water. The hotel and grounds reeked in raw sewage smell where my parent's room was asked to run water for an hour and came out brown and black and smelled like sewage. I will not return here and sad because this was our usual spot. The hotel went from a 4 star to a very low 3 in my eyes.

Extremely Clean. Everywhere. Great restaurants. Great food. Great staff. Friendly, attentive. Go the extra mile. Best beach spot in Cancun. Like a pool. Quiet even when at max capacity. I comeback every year with my family for a week for the mentioned reasons. I love this Hotel.
