It was a great stay as usual. We have stayed there year after year and it is always a great time. However, the beds may need to be updated. They are hard and a bit run down. Overall the property is amazing and it is the historic part of the plaza!

Vallet service was very good and friendly. Reception was rather rude and restaurant / breakfest was a mess. For example waited for the bill for more than 30mins, while the waiter was cleaning the tables. No smiles, no friendliness. And furthermore very slow and non-professional service. We decided to take another hotel in the future. The vallet personel in the garage were perfect. Super friendly, fast and always on a good mood.

When we first arrived, the room we had reserved was not available. Seems the recent snowstorm had damaged some rooms, including the one we had reserved. The morning after check-in, the staff were very helpful and moved us to the correct room.

The hotel was very dirty, smelled and the service was non-existent, they didn't answer their own phones. The coffee tated like dirty water and they lacked supplies. We heard that they just lost their 4 diamond rating. We would not go back.

Terrible stay. Do not recommend this to anybody. In the first room the shower was clogged and filled with sewage. We left word at the front desk. Upon returning that evening, the room had not been cleaned and the shower was worse. Upon demanding to be changed to another room, we were moved. The following day, again the room was not cleaned. Upon making another fuss, housekeeping showed up, looked around and did not do anything. All we got were apologies and nothing was done. In general the hotel shows signs of wear and tear and lack of maintenance.

The pool is amazing. The rooms are clean and comfy. Staff is very nice. The valet only parking was a bit of a pain but it's really the only option. Happy to have the security of the truck though. The kitchen was unbelievably slow and not many wait staff. We were late for our morning activity. Food was OK.

The spa is amazing. The pool is lovely. It is a very convenient location, right in downtown. While everyone was kind and helpful, it seemed understaffed.

Hotel was pretty run-down. Both chairs in our room were torn. There was water damage on the ceiling. Overpriced for the quality of the room. We've been to Santa Fe many times, and this was our worst hotel experience there.

The staff from front desk to housekeeping to valet were all excellent. Outside of that the experience left a lot to be desired. The first room we checked in to had a broken coffee machine, no knob to change settings on the fridge, and knob for hanging clothes on the bathroom door was removed among other things. We asked for a replacement coffee maker and that too was faulty. Would be nice if those could be checked prior to checking a guest into a room. We ended up having to switch rooms bc of all the issues which although minor start to add up. New room was fine and did not have any issues but was a hassle having to experience all this first and then having to switch rooms.

I always stay at the el dorado when im in Santa Fe. The location is perfect for access to the opera by car or shuttle and for walking everywhere else. They have completes a beautiful pool and hot tub area that is an amazing magical place to spend a morning.

Great Hotel! Wonderful Staff, and Great Location walkable to all of downtown and Railway! Pool, lounge, Bartenders, and concierge very Attentive!! We had a King Balcony, large Bathroom, refrigerator, fireplace, Great Room! Finally Valet Service Exceptional!

There is no way this is a 4-star hotel! It is so dated, rooms have old scratched and ripped furniture. AC hardly works. Staff was rude especially the woman at front desk. She has a terrible attitude. She should not be working in any form of hospitality. Our room was not ready until AFTER our promised “guaranteed” time. A rip off!!

The hotel is very nice and clean. It is expensive but I would recommend it. You are in the center of the square and everything is within walking distance.

This is a nice hotel with a great downtown location, but it wasnt as nice as I had hoped. My main complaint is the required daily resort fee....which was supposedly for garage valet, wifi, and the amenities. The hotel wasnt of the "resort" calibre to require a daily fee like that. Our rooms bathroom was in need of some renovations...the room didnt even include complimentary robes...our window wouldnt shut fully....hallway noise was really loud. Overall was a little disappointed.

The property had much more of an impersonal feel about it than i was expecting. The staff felt a bit clueless and not so genuinely concerned for guests comfort. I had to ask for some things a couple times before they were taken care of. All in all a nice place to stay, but I'm hopeful to find a better place.

Very nice hotel in a good location, but a pricey for what we needed, and "resort" fees when we don't use "resort" amenities always put me off a little bit. Happy hour at the bar was pleasant and reasonable. Staff was very helpful.

The property looks good inside and out. However, the walls are thin. We heard everything our neighbors said. We heard everyone walking through the halls. We heard everyone's television. The hotel looks great but it was hard to sleep with all the noise we heard . We were very disappointed.

Hotel staff was, for the most part, friendly and helpful. The room and property was clean. The carpet in the hallway showed wear amd appeared to need cleaning. All in, I enjoyed the stay but the property cloud use some updating.

We own a bus company and travel company and travel all over North America. Everything at Eldorado was great except the fact that there is NO AVAILABLE coffee early morning outside of the room. I am an early riser and didn't want to make coffee in the room to wake her. AND, with the difference in time zone from us, I had to sit in the lobby for an hour before even Starbucks up the street opened. We learned a long time ago, the nicer the hotel, the less amenities you get, such as coffee. A refrigerator in the room is nice to save leftovers from a great dinner, but no microwave available on the premises anywhere to warm it up.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was immaculate….the pool was delightful and every person with whom we had contact was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back.

We had a room on the 2nd floor with backdoor access to the roof-top pool and hot-tub. That was excellent - we will definitely go there again and request a 2nd floor room.

We had a great trip and a nice day at the El Dorado definitely will stay again. We also had our two dogs with us and they were nothing but amazing hosting them.
