I stayed at the Dukes years ago with my husband. We loved the hotel and we love the location. Everything about the Dukes is outstanding and every way starting with the staff right down to the location and the condition of the rooms and the hotel itself. I would stay here again and again, changing nothing about it. I highly recommend this hotel!! It is very upscale and yet very intimate. Everyone feels important.

Always a good stay here, the staff are helpful and the room, 310, was very comfortable with excellent bathroom, bar was as busy as usual - the place to be in St James

I've stayed in Dukes before and always found it to be a friendly and comfortable hotel in a superb central location. My only small quibbles are that my room, overlooking the entrance area could be noisy when the bar emptied and secondly, that the lift on that side of the hotel is scruffy with a worn carpet and scuffed woodwork.

Staff was excellent and rooms were comfortable.

Wonderful stay!

This was my first stay at Dukes, and really, everything about it was first rate. The service was fantastic, my room was spotless, and the hotel was in a prime location between Green Park, Mayfair and Picadilly Circus. I will definitely try to stay here on my next visit to London.

This is our favorite home in London. The history and boutique size and location makes it the perfect.

Beds are just old. Bar may of been great 75 years ago with Ian Fleming, now just living off nostalgia. There is no 5 star service here. Read page 2 of reviews to get actual description of hotel. I sat at front desk and watched main guest service rep tell same story 4 times. The bar man said hotel overbooked so my fault can not have a table. Really! For this price I have stayed at much better quality in London.

Minor issue with hot water during our stay. However, staff was attentive and ensured the problems were resolved.

The staff is all very helpful. It's a relatively small hotel hidden in a quiet alley while at the center of everything. The staff is willing to cater their service for your need.

Pros: convenient location; staff were polite and helpful Cons: small room; poor soundproofing - we could hear staff/other guests talking in the corridor very clearly, especially at late night and early morning

Overall, the stay wasn't the best, but there were elements of the stay which I enjoyed. The location of the hotel is great, everything we wanted to do and the tube were in walkable distances, the area was nice and quiet which was also nice. The service however wasn't the best, from check-in onwards, I was questioning how this hotel is a 5-star. When we checked in we were told we were staying in the same wing as the family who had already checked in, so I walked over to that elevator, it turns out we were in the other wing, when I asked how I get to my room, I made to feel like I was the idiot for not figuring it out on my own, if you had signs, I would have. I asked if breakfast was included, but I was ignored. When trying to have a drink in the duke's bar which is meant to be famous, we were turned away because I didn't have a shirt. We're in 2024, how is this still a thing? Surely I can have a drink in the bar if I'm good enough to stay in your hotel and pay the room rate? You had no customers....who was my t-shirt going to offend? The staff? I was told I could drink in the restaurant, but at this point, I just refused to spend any more money in this hotel, I hate places which make you feel like you don't 'belong' because of a dress code. Do I understand it to an extent if you aren't staying in the hotel? Yes, but if you're allowed to stay in the hotel you should be allowed to use every area of the hotel. There is also a service charge for the room? I wasn't a fan.
