Very cool vibe, great location, close to Lincoln Park Zoo and Wrigley. Great coffee shop right outside the front door.

Have stayed here numerous times. Stay was fine. However, construction Jack hammering and other construction noise. Wasn’t terrible but the noise was bothersome after a while. Making the hotel better, I get it. Felt the rate might have reflected the noise. Staff was friendly and honored my request for a room on the back of hotel.

This was probably the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I have no complaints about that however, all I could hear all late at night and early morning, were people slamming doors and laughing and talking and also early in the morning, they were doing some type of work I could hear a drill almost into the walls next to me it was Awful. It woke me up.

Interesting place! Desk staff were very helpful and polite. Room was clean, spacious, but noisy!!!!! Corner room on a busy intersection, at least it was somewhat better at night. The final straw was the last morning when trying to sleep in a bit, and maintance staff working on the room next door, slamming door every time in and out, and THEN THE DRILLING STARTED…. Great location other than being on such a busy street with all the traffic. You need courtesy umbrellas for guests! Would be nice for those of us caught in unexpected weather…..

We came to Chicago for a week of baseball. The hotel is within a mile of Wrigley Field and a half a mile from the mass transit system that takes you to Chicago White Sox stadium the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the neighborhood for food is very diversified and excellent.

We loved our stay, cool art and decor, felt very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful we will definitely come back

This hotel is in a great location if you're looking to see some of the north side of Chicago and is walkable to Wrigley Field. However, the property itself is a little run down, our room smelled weird and was very small - no bath, no closet, no minifridge. But it was clean enough and we weren't there to spend time in the room so it was serviceable.

Have stayed at the Versey several times. Hotel is in a good area for walking to restaurants, coffee, shopping. Had an issue with the toilet not flushing, but hotel staff fixed within the hour. Will stay again.

The pillows were lumpy. Parking is no longer reimbursed. Despite that it is a good value at a competitive rate.

Will definitely stay here again. Great price, nice room even though it was small there was no problems, bathroom was clean, bed was comfy, and was able to cast to TV. Ton of place walking distance around it as well. Loved all the art in the building and rooms. Easy walk to get to Cubs game as well and back

This is in a vibrant neighborhood of shopping and restaurants. Traders Joe’s and Barnes and Nobles were across the street. A local coffee shop,Stans, was two shops down. A bus stop ,76, on both sides of street was available. A murals were over all the hallways. Nice lobby with high back chairs and ports to charge electronics. The front desk receptionists were able to answer my questions about the neighborhood.

Funky hotel in a fun, walkable neighborhood.

We stayed for a concert. The front desk gave us walking directions to the venue and ensured we would be safe walking and not that far for the kids.

Pros: Great location, very walkable neighborhood, close to many attractions, lots of restaurants nearby, as well as bus stops, 9 minute walk to the brown line which takes you downtown. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Cons: Room is small. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were terrible, very thin and old. Overall the hotel is priced reasonably for the area compared to other hotels. Small room size would be fine since you’re not there to hang out in the room, but if the main draw is sleeping then the bed and pillows should be higher quality.

Room was great. Staff was very nice. It was a little bit noisy at night.

The hotel was nice but the price was a little steep for what you got. It was clean and the beds were comfortable so that was a plus!

Liked the location of Versey. Staff was great! Older hotel, but well maintained. Only complaint: Thought parking should have been complimentary for the room price. Housekeeping only cleans every 2-3 days. We checked in on Wednesday and out on Saturday. Never had room straightened. Clean towels, shampoo, etc., were available off of the cart.

Stayed for a Cubs game and College tour. Reserved for 5 with only 2 queens. Asked for a rollout. They didnt have one to offer. You shouldnt allow a 5 person reservation if you cant offer them to not sleep on the floor.

Love that property is smack in the middle of wrigleyville/Lakeview neighborhood.

Great location. Saw some roaches, phone rang randomly, room service only provided every three days.

Service was available day & night. Room was perfectly clean & tidy when we arrived. Bed & chairs were comfortable.

Great quiet stay. Just disappointed there was no laundry service as listed.

South Lakeview East, on Lincoln Park border very walkable to Lake, Wrigley, and Lincoln Park restaurants/shopping. Clean room, kind staff answered all questions but volunteered no info. Tell them if you want bed/towel service more often than once every 3 days, LA fitness round corner is available, parking in garage on Clark is $30 a day no validation. Elevator is very slow and small (3 with luggage max!) and stairs are so very narrow you wouldn’t want to or if not small could not haul luggage up them. Halls smell like weed ( is that not smoking in the room?) but smell stays out of room mostly(welcome to IL). Still 4 stars as cleanliness, kind staff, and location trump the non necessities. Expedia said we got two drinks as a bonus but there’s no bar/restaurant , there were two bottles of Fiji water in the room and that was likely the perk but they had tags saying $6 each , we forgot to ask so left them alone. Definitely would stay here if activities keep you north of the Loop.
