We had never visited Capri and we took a leap of faith. The hotel was in an excellent location alongside two of the most high end hotels on the island and in the middle of all the shops. It was much better than I expected from pictures on-line including the charming rooms (we had two, and both had giant balconies with magical views), a lovely pool area and a lunch/bar spot under the lemon trees. The front desk attendants were incredibly helpful and the reception area and attached breakfast terrace space was lovely. There was a complimentary breakfast that provided plenty of options. The only complaint we had was that the bed needs some updating. The pillows and mattress weren’t the most comfortable and that upgrade would make the hotel perfect. It wasn’t awful, though. A much more reasonable rate than many of the neighboring hotels and very pleasantly surprised. Finally, we walked on the pedestrian paths from our location to both the Marina grande and the other side of the island to a beach club. Heading down the path wasn’t bad, though not for anyone with mobility issues. We took a cab back up the hills and would recommend that to anyone!

Location is best. Short walk to everything. Our 3 person room was roomy, clean, with a good sized closet and a large balcony. The breakfast was good and staff very professional and helpful. They took care of all of our bookings for us.

Very friendly staff, all you can eat breakfast that was delicious. Upon our arrival, the receptionist gave us many suggestions for Capri. They even had these touch pads in the room where it has a bunch of suggestions on what to do, food to eat, book transportation and reservations, etc.

Fantastic location as it is still central but out of the way from the high traffic areas. The staff were super helpful as we were able to check in a bit early. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast service and location were wonderful as well. The hotel itself is beautiful with nice clean rooms and a beautiful courtyard/pool area.

This hotel is beautiful and so peaceful. It is in a great location, right in the middle of Capri, and is walkable to lots of great shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Capri.

Incredible staff in the lobby. The room had not been ready when I arrived; however, they showed me around the grounds to where I could change in the locker rooms and hop into beautiful pool for a couple hours.

When I come to Capri I expected a room with somewhat of a decent view. Been going there for Years. for rooms . 2500 eurous small room at qiuisisana or Lapalma 3000 euros per night. Will never go there again. At least not in July. It’s a rip off. They take advantage. Too much everywhere.

Wish they'd been serving at the pool when we were there but I think it might have been just off season at the end of May. Good location to get anywhere in the main area, we walked all over exploring, beautiful area.

This is a pay-by-the-hour quality establishment with Hilton prices. I paid $350 for a room that was SO disgusting, dirty, smelly, and just all around terrible. I would not pay $49 a night here, much less $350- I was beyond angry. I booked through my credit card so I didn’t have much to barter with, it was non refundable. All I can do is forewarn others. Look at the pictures from my room and decide for yourself. There was hair EVERYWHERE, the bathroom door wouldn’t even shut, the “ocean view” was mostly of the nasty roof with clothing and trash on it... Just terrible. And all management would offer was a cheaper room, which I checked out and had crumbs in the floor of the kitchen and hair in the bathroom as well. DON'T STAY HERE!

We booked a room with sea view, a must have! we had a great balcony and I would not go without it. Breakfast is fine for a 4 Star. Pool hours could be a little earlier. Today it is 9:30 but the reception was flexible on it. The only point I really have is the cleaning. Cleaning is done daily but could be much more efficient and tight.

The lovely Hotel Syrene was the perfect hotel for us in Capri. Right in town, beautiful view of the hills & swimming pool. Amazing staff & attention to details in hotel were beautiful. Breakfast was excellent too.
