Amazing spot in a super safe area that is incredibly walkable. There was some construction on the building next door so it was a little loud but that’s beyond the hotel’s control. The staff is so kind and nice, Lucas at the front desk helped us out and every other staff member was incredible.

Nice place, great staff, small room

We had a great time at the property. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with great options. We had dinner at the property one night and the food was also great. We stayed in the standard room (comfortable bed and sheets, the shower pressure was great and the cleaning stuff did a great job every day during our stay). We loved the location ( 2 min walk from the beach and lots to do around the hotel). It was also great not having to worry about renting beach chairs and umbrellas as they provided both.

Had a phenomenal experience from start to finish. I had no issue as someone who does not know Portuguese. I would like to point out the exceptional hospitality in Margiore. She was fantastic and made me feel so comfortable coming in from a 15 hour flight from the US. I will definitely be returning the next time I come to Rio!

This was our third stay at Ipanema Inn. We like this hotel a lot. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is also located in a very good place in Ipanema. One block from the beach with lots of options around the hotel to eat out, shop, and other activities. The food they serve at the hotel is good too.

Where do I Start? This hotel is 10/10. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, rooms are clean, breakfast was good. It’s steps from the beach and plenty of restaurants around. You can also get a free voucher to go to a gym 2 blocks away. Luana is the best. She was so amazing and helped me plan my daily activities. She went above and beyond always. Please give her a promotion and a raise.

Ipanema is the best place to stay for Rio!

Hip and comfortable hotel in great Ipanema location. All the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is also very good and made a change from catering options at other Rio hotels. Well worth the price.

This is a cute Boutique Hotel a block from the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is super accommodating and friendly. They explain everything very well. The food is fantastic! The breakfast is fresh and well-balanced and their other menu options are just as good. I loved their octopus! The area around the hotel is walkable and has many food options, shopping, and the beach! I would definitely stay here again!

Cool hotel in walking distance to beach.

Great location, fantastic staff, amazing breakfast with lots of choices. It's unfortunate that the wi-fi was not working on our floor during our three day stay. It worked fine in the reception and restaurant though. Would definitely stay again.

There was sand on top of the bed underneath the bed scarf. The room was tiny and the bathroom shower sliding glass door made an extremely loud screeching sound even when moved a few inches. But the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and it’s a good location. Thank you Guillermo (spelling not exact) for being extremely friendly and helpful!

Hotel facilities and rooms are average. Not luxury 5 star. But fine. Food in restaurant was quite good. Above average. Staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Location is perfect.

The only thing that saves the hotel is location, also the cleaning staff. But the rest is just terrible, the front desk is super mean, also get ready because they can not accommodate you earlier even if they have an empty room. So if you have an early arrival like me, you have to reserve a room one day before. Also, there is no lobby, it's a big restaurant at the entrance ( always packed) a mess... Anyways there are so many options of hospitality in Rio that if you still booking this one, good lucky.

Ipanema in was closed for renovations but we were conveniently rebooked at the Arpoador Hotel. The service and location were amazing, staff was very friendly too. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Minor disadvantage was the room size, litteraly no room to open your luggage. Other than that everything was perfect including the restaurant.

Great hotel, good value for money, superb location

AMAZING IN ALL SHAPES AND FORMS. GREAT GREAT STAFF, AMAZING BREAKFAST. BEACH FRONT IN ONE OF THE NICEST AND SAFEST PART OF RIO. AMAZING BREAKFAST, AMAZING TERRACE VIEW. MANAGED THE COVID SITUATION AMAZINGLY WELL.

We stayed here 5 nights during Carnival, and the hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for our trip. First, the hotel is in one of the nicest and safest neighborhoods. It is fairly quiet (which is nice when catching up on sleep) yet conveniently located just one block from the beach and only a few blocks from a metro stop. This made it easy to get to most things in Rio when not taking an Uber, which are fairly cheap as well. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and were able to answer any questions we had about Carnival and Rio in general. A nice plus was that they provided beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas free of charge. As for the rooms, we knew they would be a little on the small side for 2 people going into it, but they were still modern and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Hotel breakfast has a decent spread of options including made-to-order omelets. Overall would definitely stay again!

Location!!! Location!!! Location!!! The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included and it was amazing!! On the other side, the rooms are on small side and beds are very firm.

Worn out hotel. Problems with noise, excess light in rooms and unreliable shower. Check-in was delayed. Overpriced. Location is very good, though.

Small room but great location and excellent service.

The location of this property is everything. So much so that it makes you overlook some of the other deficiencies. The staff is really top notch for a boutique hotel. The restaurant is quite good. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could use some work, hair dryers not in good condition in both rooms we stayed. But I would say overall the welcoming attitude of everyone on property really overcame any shortcomings. So many delicious things to shop, eat, drink and beach at your fingertips.
