I stayed at this hotel with a large group of children and parents for a tournament. Surprisingly, this location was a hidden gem! Very tidy. Friendly and accommodating staff. Close to major highways, and convenient access to local chain restaurants.…I was even able to have my puppy there. If ever in Chesterton again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book a room.

Overall experience was great! Close to toll road and all things you would need for weekend trip. A definite MUST while visiting Chesterton is a visit to AJ's Pizza Co at 3050 Matson St!! The friendliest staff, especially Madi the bartender. Food is great. Such an enjoyable visit for us. Good atmosphere and slept well.

Check-in was a nightmare. The Quality Inn computer system was down and we stood 30 minutes while the desk clerk worked - silently, no apologies offered.

Outside presentation was poor. I literally drove by the front entrance as I thought it was the side of the building. No sign or obvious entrance to the lobby. Lobby decorations very utilitarian. No decorations or anything. Check in was the worst ever. It took 35 minutes to wait on two other customers and check in as they were having computer issues (which I finally found out). No apology, explanation or anything. Paper plates for breakfast which you had to use more than one to hold your food. I don't think their front door was handicapped accessible.

The room had a chemical smell. The tub would not drain, and had to be snaked to get the water down. The toliet was unstable and moved. The toliet paper was so thin you could almost see through it. The chair in the corner had a bunch of old room key/cards under the cushion, which you could easily see when the cushion slid forward, so it definitely was not cleaned properly.
I will say that the bed was very comfortable with down pillows and blanket.

The bed was very comfortable! The room was reasonably clean. The sink and tub drains were slow. When I mentioned it during check out, she thanked me for telling her and said it would be addressed asap. Overall happy with our stay, very close to the sand dunes NP & state park.

Very nice check-in experience. Made us feel welcome. Everything in the room worked very well. Hot shower. Breakfast was pretty standard continental fair. Overall a very nice stay for us.

The room had a strong smell must so badly i used my perfume to try and mask it, my linens had stains all over the blanket but I was thankful we traveled with our own pillows and blankets so we used those. Front desk was very nice and the breakfast was a nice amenity my picky eater was thankful for the mini waffles.

We couldn't check in as soon as we get to the reception because Expedia didn't make the payment to the hotel. Fortunately, the receptionist was very kind and efficient and she made phone calls and within an hour we were able to enter our room.

I have a bad knee and this hotel has stairs. The lady who.checked us in, Judith, made sure i got a downstairs room and she helped us with the tv in our room. This hotel is nice, maybe not super quiet, but not loud either. Judith was great!

Our stay was just ok. I had to scrub the shower head before using it. It had build up covering it! The AC unit did not get very cold. We were on second floor over lobby and woke at 6am to the beeping of the waffle maker. The room was not at all soundproof. We heard everything! Standard pillows on a king bed, but the bed was comfortable and bug free! I don’t feel our room was worth the rate we paid. Breakfast was nothing special either. Waffles, microwave burritos, oatmeal, cereal, toast and bagels.

Overall good. Breakfast was weak - waffles came out crisp in the outside and ran in the middle. I poured water from the hot water carafe into my oatmeal and it was cold.

Air conditioning didn’t work, was repaired, still didn’t work. Hotel was full, couldn’t change to a different room. Room smelled musty, was a cool night slept with windows open and this took care of the smell.

when we put the hotel in our gps, it said the hotel was closed permanently. There were only a handful of guests. We booked two queen beds, but it appeared to be two double beds. We were charged $10more than the website advertised. The room appeared clean but there was only one light in the entire room. The interior was very run down. The breakfast was very disappointing. It wasn't worth the price.

Front desk attendant was not very friendly upon check-in. Handed us the room key and said the room number. No extra info provided (checkout process, breakfast, room/laundry clean). The sheets had stained spots on them.
We returned at the end of the day with our room exactly how we left it. Trash not emptied, bed untouched, towels the same. And no, we did not have the do not disturb type sign hanging on the outer door handle.
One night, we heard screaming (not joyful, but loud and scared) through our closed window. Couldn’t see anything when looking out so not sure what that was about.
It was fine for the price, but slightly disappointing overall.
