Was charged a $50 cash deposit , room was a non smoking but smelled like cigarettes and. Sheet covers had cigarette holes, only had 3 small shower towels.
I would not go back.

The check in was friendly and the room was very nice and comfortable. I always come back when visiting Stockton, Red roof inn is my place of choice and recommend it to all my friends.

Besides the room being in major need of a face lift everything was broken like the buttons on the heater/air conditioner and the TV remote so we had to guess what we needed to push. We requested a non smoking room and clearly was not by the smell of cigarettes. I called the front immediately and there only resolution was to spray a nasty cinnamon scented air freshener. We were in town for a sport tournament and were so disappointed to not be comfortable.

Had to wait for a handicap room. The lady at the front desk argued saying we didnt have a handicap room. When i ordered one . Then we had to wait 30 minute for them to clean it.
For a handicapped room, there was no bars near the toliet and not enough space for a wheelchair to be used.

I had roaches in my room and people in rooms next to me were extremely loud I could not sleep

too close to freeway. my room was on the side closest to freeway. the room was non-smoking but had a stale smoky smell. the towels were terrible. bed were uncomfortable. the direct tv didn't get aclot of channels. just not good, even for $125.

I ended up with what was labeled an accessable room. (#118) However, it was not up to those standards and wouldn't have been acceptable for a disabled person. Room was far from the handicapped parking spaces. There was no grab bar by the toilet, no towel rack or hook within reach of the shower, and no place to set toiletries within reach for someone in a wheelchair. The shower curtain rod was the curved kind which extended beyond the shower basin so the bathroom floor got really wet and there was only one small bath mat. No tissues. No luggage rack. Had to ask for a blow dryer. Couldn't get the TV to work even after the nice front desk guy came and tried. Only redeeming features were that it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with a nice reading lamp. Breakfast was only carbs and bananas, but had a nice long time window.

Overall if you need a place to crash and leave the next day it's fair. Room smelled like cigarettes, the mini fridge was leaking, and you have to raise the bathroom door to close it. Not that far from the downtown area. Not much to look or walk around the area

The room has good lighting and size (double bed) but there was an unpleasant smell.
The bathroom and shower are large, but the shower needs upgrading.

The room we had was good. Clean and bed was comfortable. Check in and out was fast and friendly. I didn't try the breakfast but they do provide.
Downside was lots of noise coming from outside. But its literally by the highway so the quiet expectation is sort of irrelevant.
Due to being near downtown lots of people walking at all hours of the day so I can see why it seems unsafe. Which is reasonable cause its Stockton. BUT hotel staff does do their best to keep their clients safe.
Overall for being in Stockton, its a decent hotel. Just lock your room door and keep your valuables with you and you'll be fine. If I ever need to stay in Stockton again, I will return.

Check in was very easy. But my issue was when I reserved a non smoking room and when i went into the room there was a strong smell of smoking. I couldn't even sleep because i was worried about my car being broken into or stolen. We even witnessed a few "easy life" girls half dressed taking there clients there. This place its just a no for me. Never coming back to this location.

Lighting outside was out, had to use our cellphones to find our room. If you are interested in adult entertainment there are several offerings. Also if you run out of your medications.
Inside the room was surprisingly nice. Freeway noise but I knew that going in because it's right next to it.
