Third time staying at this hotel, the suites accommodate a week long stay. Especially having a sitting area and two TVs for my husband and myself minimize conflicts.

There were some problems because of the way hotels.com’s booking software works. But the Ethan Allen was wonderfully accomodating. I’ve been going there regularly for years. When my family comes to town we always recommend Ethan Allen as a first choice.

Property is a little outdated. The rugs could stand to be replaced because of stains and fading etc. price was good. The room was serviceable for our needs. We stay there when we visit our son at WCSU West campus.

Nice room. The room was very quiet, which surprised me because it’s located near a highway and a busy area. Staff at front desk was very nice. I’ll def be staying here again on my next trip.

Nice upgrade to a suite which was a nice surprise. The bed was very comfortable, the staff friendly and professional, and breakfast was on site for a fee. Plenty of parking with no noise which we really liked. We will definitely stay again!

Good location off of 84, ok hotel. Customer service not great: man on phone was rude when asked about an early check in, kind lady at desk was the only one working and took awhile to check in (not early!).Room was ok: heater/ac/fan was loud & inefficient making room stuffy and also a dirty medical glove was left on lid of toilet. The breakfast was ok, but not worth paying $14.99 per person as a hotel guest. Was here for a family wedding so probably wouldn't stay here again when visiting CT.

Our toilet didn’t flush without taking the top of the basin off and pull the lever. Called for service and no one showed. No soap.
Our suite was reassigned without notice to a king bed room. I would offer another blanket.
Will not stay again. Understand renovations but seriously bad experience. Employees were great.

The night crew was GREAT. The morning crew not so much. The front desk should know the name of the diner down the road ( Mill Plain Diner ) for out of state guests who don’t know the area. Also with the do not disturb sign on my door housekeeping still tried to get into my room / this was very scary - No knock no notice - just unlocked the door

We went for a weekend youth fencing tournament. The hotel was located at a quiet and convenient area. The building is a bit old. but the room was clean with a half wall divided bed and living areas, which is very nice design.The bed was pretty good.

The hotel definitely needs an update. Rooms are a little musty and do need deep cleaning. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Overall the hotel was alright for an overnight stay but would not want to stay for longer. The hallways to the rooms and the rooms themselves were clean but a bit dated.

The lighting in the room could’ve been better. There was a single lamp to light up the entire room, which was not sufficient At the desk, there’s no light at all if you wanted to do any work, it be almost impossible because you cannot see That would be our recommendation better lighting

The staff was very friendly. We stayed there for quite a while due to housing. Some of the area seem to be a little shady funny people walk in and out all the time did not make me feel very safe.

We were moving our son into West Conn so it was a quick overnight. It's a reasonably nice place, but it needs to be updated. The carpets in the halls are faded. The price was a little higher than I would have liked.

The host was nice and helpful. The hallways were quiet. The furniture and bedding looks a little beat up and the floors looked dirty. Tub was clogged up and can’t buy snacks or drinks after a certain hour. So if you travel late night, bring your own unfortunately.

The Ethan Allen Inn 20 years ago was the icon of Danbury, now is just a rundown hotel badly in need of repair and renovation.
We had no maid service for 2 days, no one was at the reception desk to talk to, the business office was closed for renovation and there was no other alternative to use the computer or printer.
The rooms are old, dirty furniture and rugs, the water backed up in the tub when the shower was in use.
At the entrance there was a pack of cigarettes in a glass, the place was over the top disappointing and when there was someone at the desk all they told me is they didn’t know anything because they worked the night shift.
The place is a dump, and over prices no less, don’t waste your time.

Much needed updating. Peeling wall paper, stains in carpet, carpet bunched up in spots. Will say food was good in restaurant. We were charged an additional $100 for "incidentals" at check in for potential damage etc. Upon check out we were told the $100 could take up to two weeks to show up in our account again. It was just dark, old and in bad shape.

This property is not being managed property. There was literal debris in the corridors and the trash in the side entrance was overflowing on Saturday and Sunday. Further, the hotel ran out of towels, probably due to the fact that they aren't entering and routinely pulling dirty towels and cleaning rooms. I don't believe daily cleaning is essential, however to not be able to provide clean towels upon request is not OK. And good luck reaching the front desk by phone... I am from the area and this hotel has been my go-to for any return visit. Sadly, I will need to go elsewhere next time.

Rooms are extremely run down and dated, had trouble getting the shower to work and called the front desk but they didn't answer, so had to go find them and their solution was to "pull really hard on the handle". We had a court side room and on both nights there were people sitting in the courtyard drinking, smoking, and talking really loud until after 2 in the morning. We called the front desk to have it resolved but there was no answer on both nights, it turns out it was the employee at the front desk hanging out with his friends.
This is a horrible hotel and continues to get worse. Will not be staying here again.

We arrived at the Ethan Allen Hotel and received our room. Unfortunately, our room was dirty and smelled foul. Additionally, our room was supposed to have a mini fridge and it did not, which is one of the reasons that I booked a specific room, for the fridge. I went to the front desk to inquire about a new room and I was told that I could not move rooms. I asked about the fridge and they shared that a fridge would be brought to the room. Five hours later, after calling the front desk again, a fridge was delivered. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. The rugs were stained with who knows what, the couch was stained and burned with a cigarette, the bed linens were stained, there was mold in the shower and the overall room smelled. Also, there was dog poop all over the grass border of the property’s parking lot. Maybe other rooms in the hotel were not like this room, but I would not know, since I as not able to receive a new room.

Unfortunately, we wanted to love this property but were unable to. Just seemed like the bare minimum was given to the upkeep of the hotel from the room, to the hallway, and pool. I do want to give them the benefit of the doubt. The staff was very friendly, perhaps they are just short staffed and still recovering from Covid.

We needed 2 rooms for 9 days because we had sold our house and were waiting to move. The hotel itself looks very tired- definitely needs a refresh. Also, this hotel only cleans the rooms every 3 days so do NOT expect them to make beds or take out trash, etc on a daily basis. We asked for the room to be cleaned on Day 2 , the front desk staff ( very nice and accommodating) tried to get it organized. It never happened and on Day 3 when we went back and asked AGAIN , we were told it had been done the day before! It took the front desk 4 hours to manage to get Housekeeping to come to the room. Food from the restaurant was okay and the bartender was friendly, but this isn’t really a “hotel “ in the strictest sense of the word. More a place where your staff can stay for a few days when they are in the area for work. Plenty of restaurants, etc in the area and it is convenient . But not my best hotel stay and we won’t be back.
