Staff on night shift was struggling. I had reserved a suite and they gave me a suite (room 327) that smelled like water damage, had an old smoke detector hanging 2 feet out of the ceiling, had a new smoke dector beeping and saying low battery, and had an empty slim Jim wrapper on the floor right in the middle of the closet. Couldn't do it... I went back and asked for another room. They gave me room 322. When I opened that room there were 3 people standing in the room. They gave me a room that was not available! The people in the room stated that wasn't the first time it happened to them. On the 3rd attempt they got it right, but I was subjected to the staffer who was trying to help me get all kissy kissy with her boyfriend on the elevator. The next day same staffer informed me that she was sorry, gave me some excuses, and told me she put something in the system so I could get a partial refund. Expedia tried to get the refund but they were unable to get in touch with management after trying for several days. This hotel should definitely do random drug test on their employees.

Our room was not cleaned well when we arrived. Spent a lot of time making the room comfortable in order to rest. Smoke detector beeping non stop. Housekeeping came in the next day and cleaned properly.

The property was very clean. Everyone was very nice at the property. The breakfast was good and very filling.

The rooms need updating

Front desk staff was great but the cleaning staff was not. The rokm was clean but on the day of checkout the cleaning staff was knocking on our door at 9am to see if we were gone. Checkout time was 11am. They made us feel rushed to leave. The cleaning staff should not be knocking on doors at all. They should be checking with the front desk to see who has checked out. This was totally uncalled for.

Room had flies and when we opened the windows there were dead gnats. You could tell those window covers were not opened and cleaned

This was a great place to relax for the weekend. Everything was superb and the staff was willing to assist with everything.

Worst experience ever! Pool was closed with no notice or information. Three rooms in under three hours, each one dirtier and more broken than the last. Tried to speak to a manager who was apparently never on the property. Left around 10pm the first night, didn’t stay here! They refused to refund me fully, claimed I didn’t check out until the morning. Again tried to speak with the manager who never called me liked I’d requested, was ‘out to lunch’ and never called me after I again left my name and phone number. My kids cried themselves to sleep that night in the new hotel I had to book. Nothing like paying for two hotels and feeling downtrodden on what was supposed to be a wonderful family vacation.

Property was as advertised. Accessing the beach was easy and the hotel was centrally located on the island. Room was spacious and clean and the AC worked well. I also appreciated that the room had a ceiling fan.

Ms. Jolene was amazing as always!! Glad to see that she is still there!! Her customer service is impeccable! She truly cares for her guests! Tara and Tequila were great as well!! The housekeeping staffing has improved so much since our last stay! Everything was clean and much better maintained than our last visit! We love the location and Ms Jolene- we had to give it another chance, and we are super glad we did!!!! My only and MINOR complaint is the variety of the breakfast. The breakfast staff didn’t seem to really care. Biscuits and gravy and watery eggs a few days in a row gets old quick! When asking for waffles - the woman stated she had no idea what happen to their machine. All the stuff was out for waffles. 1/2 the machine was on the counter. To me it just seemed like she didn’t want to bother to clean it.

Other than the air conditioning turning off several times and us having to get up and restart it the place was nice.

My husband and I had an amazing time!!! Short walk to the beach and the pool was fantastic! Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!!

The room was not clean, smelled bad, the tub and sink in the bathroom was clogged with hair from previous guests; also not cooking sheets or utensils like it said in the amenities. The water in the pool didn’t not circulate, and had mold. Too pricey for the service

Pet friendly was a big factor in picking this property

1. The beds were incredibly comfortable. 2. The rooms were not cleaned unless you requested it early in the morning. Same with simple things like taking trash out or towels or anything. So nothing is done unless you request it. 3. The bathroom is in rough shape. Shower was peeling, sink faucet barely flowing. 4. Staff is incredibly nice but meaningfully understaffed.

It was pretty ok. Got charged twice for my deposit, and that was a really bad impression seeing as i hadn’t even been inside my room. But it’s the cheapest place on the island, and can’t really complain. Just being out $100 for a deposit on a room that wasn’t even on the water/beach, on top of the $400 and some odd dollars for the actual room is weird and super annoying. It put a bad taste in my mouth, but Jekyll is so incredible i couldn’t even be mad. I’d never stay here again though. I’ll do days inn before this place.

Very clean and friendly staff

Great location and friendly staff. We stayed at this hotel last year and decided to come back because of our previous experience and because it is located across the street from the beach. However, there were some maintenance issues during this stay. The kitchen in our room was full of small cockroaches, the staff was very attentive and changed us to another room immediately. There was garbage on the floor in front of some rooms (caused by the guests) and remained there during the two days we stayed at the hotel. The juice machine and yougurt machine in the breakfast room were not working properly. Not sure if we would come back for a third time after this one.

We enjoyed the stay here. It was very close to the beach.

I've been staying at Jekyll Island for years, but this was the best stay yet! The room was so spacious and clean! The staff was very friendly! We will definitely stay here again!

Staff was very helpful and the facilities were great. My family enjoyed the pool.
