This property was amazingly beautiful! The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Food was wonderful and we enjoyed all of our meals on property. One caution, we each had a massage and it was very poorly done. Not relaxing.

Amazing location , Amazing Villa, perfectly positioned near Cortona, private , immaculate service , not crowded . Could do with more lighting on the road leading up to the villa , and could do with Water being replenished in the room daily given the € you spend . Gym hrs also prohibitive

From the moment we drove up to this wonderful hotel we knew that it was going to be very spoiling, stunning location with the hilltop view of Cortona and wonderful sunsets. The gardens were amazing and the staff were so helpful and we met the owner who was delightful. Definitely we will return.

We booked a superior room and were given a corner room in the villa on the 1st floor. It was a beautiful room. Service is impeccable, staff are welcoming, super friendly and helpful. The room receives a second refreshing, water is replaced daily in the room, the wi fi is great. Housekeeping is fantastic - can't say enough good things about the staff. Breakfast is brought to the table and it is superb. Overall loved our 3 nights. As an aside, if you're lucky you will get to meet Jack the Border Collie (a very smart and fun dog).

Perfect place for honeymoon. Countryside of Cortona and I will advise for all the guests come to visit to rent a car instead of taxi service

We had a wonderful 1 week stay at Villa di Piazzano. The grounds / setting right in the countryside were breathtaking with beautifully manicured gardens. The staff were lovely and attentive. We loved spending slow days by the pool and eating al fresco in the courtyard. Facilities were very clean and well cared for - they even have a little gym which was great. We stayed in the Studio Passerini room which had gorgeous architectural / interior details and had one of the best views on the property. Loved our stay and were sad to leave thank you!

Villa di Piazzana is a beautiful hotel with amazing views and amenities. Our Villa was amazing. I loved using the pool everyday and the staff were excellent in assisting with taxis and the food was amazing.

When we first arrived at the property, we were amazed at the beauty of the area and grounds. The villa itself is beautiful-traditional Tuscany farm style with an elegant aesthetic throughout. However, there were several areas that could have been improved. The good: 1) Large rooms with elegant furnishings and excellent air conditioning (we were there when it was 90 degrees!) 2) Beautiful outdoor pool with plenty of space to lounge and spread out 3) Close to many areas in the Umbria and Tuscany areas. A good base for exploring The bad: 1) Some of the staff were rude and did not try to accommodate their guests. For example, we arrived around 7:00 pm. We were told that dinner was not available to us (we had been driving from northern Italy) because they were fully booked. However, when my husband looked at the tables, there were several openings. Having traveled all over the world, we have never been a guest at a hotel and not accommodated. This was disappointing. 2) The vibe is very depressing. It is quiet; too quiet. No one smiling, no one talking (guests, staff, etc) it was almost like being in a setting for a retirement home. When on vacation, I like to have fun. This hotel was not the place for that. 3) Parking is strange-we had a rental car and when we returned after visiting the nearby town of Cortona, there was no parking on the property. My husband parked next to the villa only to have a staff member come out and harass him to move. He was rude.

I usually opt for small boutique hotels because they offer something a bit different with warm friendly service. If that's what you're expecting this doesn't quite hit the mark. The pool area is nice but lacking a poolside bar. You can order cocktails from the main building but they are silly prices (about eur 15 for an aparol spritz). The pool is not heated. The breakfast was switched from a buffet to to a platter due to covid, which is understandable, but you are given the exact same platter every day which turns into groundhog day somewhat. Another hotel I stayed in kept the buffet but the staff got the items requested in your behalf. Perhaps consider something like this to offer some variety? The restaurant very good. Rooms are ok but suggest requesting one on the first floor of the main building as the top floor rooms have very small windows. Overall a decent hotel but I was expecting a lot more considering the price and the reviews.

Incredible property, incredible staff, and incredible stay! Worth every dime!

This hotel combines the best of both worlds - a stunning countryside estate, gorgeous property and top notch service and staff. We spent 3 nights at Villa di Piazzano near Cortona during our 2 week trip to Italy. On arrival, we were instantly upgraded to the 2-story cottage with a private garden right near the pool. The whole experience was a 10/10. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, serene stay, look no further. The front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were beyond helpful in coordinating our stay. The breakfast buffet, lunch snacks at the pool and dinner at the restaurant were all fantastic. Our only feedback was regarding the cooking class, which was easily arranged on arrival with reception. It was in a lovely setting on the property, and we got a chance to make pasta by hand, tiramisu and a ragout. The chef was nice, but the class was not as interactive as others wed done in the past and although it was a nice length, we only got to make the pasta and dessert. For the price, there are likely other alternatives if you prefer to learn to cook every course step by step and would like a more engaging atmosphere complete with recipes to go home. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend it!

This property is gorgeous and the rooms are large and clean. They serve delicious food at both restaurants and the pool was awesome. I would have given a perfect rating except we had laundry done and they lost a few items, not ideal and their prices are a bit ridiculous, i.e. they charge 10 euros for a shot of absolute vodka when you can go to the grocery store and get a whole bottle for 15 euros. I don’t agree with charging high prices just because it’s a nice place. I think if anything you should be giving your hotel guests a break while dining and drinking at your establishment. Oh and the bed was SUPER soft...if you like that sort of thing.
