Handy for work reasonably priced, breakfast was good and room was comfortable. No complaints.

Amazing room , clean , warm comfortable , one tiny thing to maybe think about if you ever re decorate... the zany carpet in the room...... on the room stairs, it was a bit difficult to handle when coming down to the door..
2.5
The staff was very friendly, professional, helpful, and kind. We will definitely stay here again! Loved the inside, the decorations, and the grounds outside as well.

The hotel from out side looked lovely. The receptionist was very helpful and polite. The room was very nice, only problem was no extraction fan in bath room so when i had a shower the whole bathroom got wet from the steam. The food was ok but the steak in my husbands baguette was cold and the fries were cold and greasy. All the staff that we spoke too were all friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel. Comfy beds and clean. There was a Christmas party on from OSD healthcare. These delightful people have literally no respect for others and thought it would be appropriate to scream/run/shout/sing down the corridor at 1am then set the fire alarm off. What a lovely company.

This hotel looked nice on the photos but I was very disappointed marks on walls all over not the best

Great night staying before a trip to Harry Potter Studios tour. Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

Had an amazing time at this Hotel! The staff were fantastic. Special mention to Paige for making my wife’s 30th extra special with the help from Millie. Those two were brilliant at the desk.
100% recommend this hotel especially if your planning to visit Harry Potter Studio which is literally around the corner. Or even visiting London. Tube will take approx 40mins from here.
Fantastic experience.

Small rooms, bathroom was a bit shabby wrt fixtures and fittings- the tap on the sink was unstable and I couldn’t tell hot/cold direction, so we used bottled water to brush our teeth; my son couldn’t get the hang of the flush mechanism of the toilet, too fiddly ?partially damaged.
Lovely view. Quiet rooms (we were in the wing to the L of the main entrance).
Breakfast was really good, very happy with the content and the value.
The room was clean, bedding fresh.

The hotel was a little bit worn to say the least

The experience overall was not good at all, first of all it is not the manor that you stay in you stay in a totally different place, we were greeted by very unwelcoming staff, we arrived 25 minutes early fair enough so we went to get coffee and was greeted by the man behind the bar we asked for two coffees one latte one black he looked at us ran off and didnt see anyone for 15 odd minutes came back with another member of staff and didnt understand what we were asking as he was from another country the other staff member had to translate coffee was fair price, then we went to our room smelt very musky, dust on alot of surfaces and the head board, the bathroom design was lovely but dirty had previous peoples hair by the sink pubic hair on the side by the toilet, allergies had kicked off had to take piriton and inhalers, in the morning we went for breakfast the food was spot on cannot fault the place for the food plenty of choice and all really tasty food, but there was a large queue we felt very pressured as their all looking over at us all when we were trying to eat so we can hurry i think people should book time slots for their breakfast to avoid this. Staff were polite this morning when leaving but for £170 for one night is way above the price they should be charging.

We really enjoyed two nights. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were fine. Swimming pool is a bit small but better than nothing. Very quiet and impeccably maintained grounds. We’ll visit again and next time we’ll explore the grounds in depth. Definitely a 5 star location.

Staff friendly and informative. No real complaints but slightly disappointed Netflix was clearly barred from the wifi!

I had a good experience at the hotel.

A very tired hotel in need of an update which seems to focus more on events than accommodation.

Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. I would have given a 5 star rating but we a little surprised and puzzled by dining facilities in the evening which were so laid back as to be almost horizontal. Also, when checking out I requested an invoice which the receptionist seemed unable to print off, but she promised to email it to me. So far I have not received it, and would be grateful if you could forward it to me asap.
The majority of the staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to offer assistance.

Not enough seating for breakfast. Poor/limited menu.
Poor service and all classes tasted of soap which ruined the taste of the drink.
A very dirty tea towel was being used to dry glasses!!

The rooms were unclean & the service was really poor. We booked 1 year in advance because we were invited to a wedding there.
- no acknowledgement from reception staff as we walked in/by
- the rooms were tired and superficially cleaned. The carpets need a wash - they’re foul smelling
- the room are not sound proof so you can everything from the nxt door room
- there is grime in the corners of the bathroom
- the breakfast was dry and overcooked
- the mattress was so worn it sunk down to the hard divan underneath - I spoke with reception and they said there was nothing they could do as the hotel was full.
- I asked reception for the room to be re cleaned & and they smirked and rolled their eyes.
- it’s a really horrible hotel & I really wouldn’t recommend it at all - even if you think you should stay here as you are attending an even. Don’t.

We stayed in The Admiral suite which was lovely. The grounds were gorgeous and we spent an afternoon strolling the grounds and relaxing on the property. The bar was great and both dinner and breakfast were terrific. Can't say enough about how attentive the wait staff were, including making sure they knew if we had any food allergies. The front desk staff were thoughtful. Would definitely return

Generally a nice stay, staff helpful with issues. Original room had adjoining door and unfortunately you can hear everything through these as there was two chaps next door who evening talking was loud. Moved to another room at 11pm which also had an adjoining door (not required) but could still here every word on next doors telly.

Good pool, rooms, breakfast and pool. Rather hot as room air conditioning not functional.

Beautiful setting and impressive building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice food during the day, plus buffet breakfast.
Booked stay to attend Harry Potter studios. Excellent location 4 mins drive away.
Had fab time. Even had time to use to pool.

Great stay, a couple of minutes drive away from Harry Potter studios.
Room was comfortable and tidy. We enjoyed having the pool to ourselves for an early morning swim.
The grounds are stunning!
Thank you to Paige on reception - your customer service stood out a mile.
Only small criticism is based around cleaning. Would benefit from deep cleaning in bathroom in grout & around shower fixings/ seals.

had the Botham suite. check in was smooth. Molly was fantastic, and very helpful. id say the room would benefit from a deep clean, not a general tidy. by this I mean skirting, doors etc. its an old hotel, and goes with the aesthetic perhaps.
breakfast was really nice.
pool was very warm.

I booked this stay without really looking too much into it. On arrival, driving up the driveway towards the car park, the view of the hotel was lovely! The reception staff were also great, and gave us the key to the Cressy Marks Suite - we were shocked as we hadn’t looked at photos etc on booking (it was a rushed one for us). We walked in, and it was beautiful. I wished that we could have stayed a couple more nights, the room seemed to go on for ever, with fantastic views, sash windows and more than enough storage space! The walk in shower could have fit a family in it was that big! The lighting has modern touch-switches, and a good heating & cooling ventilation system. It was clean, well stocked, with great furniture and we had a comfortable nights sleep! I am already looking to book a return visit to ensure I can appreciate and make use of all facilities!

I stayed one night, I forgotten my phone charger, swimsuit & dress when I checked out. I sent a message to the hotel, still waiting for response. Overall, excellent stay

The hotel was lovely. Clean, comfortable and lots of space. We had dinner and breakfast there and the meals were great and the staff friendly. Lovely groubds too.
The location was great being a 10 minute drive to the Harry Potter experience.

One night stay on second floor of old Manor House. Note- no lifts and it’s a lot of stairs!
The room was generally clean however the shower caddy was on the floor instead of fitted to the wall, the shower door was broken on arrival and we had to repair to make it close fully, and the general hallway had some dust /dirty to the carpet/wooden areas. The bed itself, whilst comfy was very squeaky which meant every time I moved my husband woke and vice versa. We intended to use the pool but it was the other end of the facility and therefore felt too far to walk so we opted not to in the end!

We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child. The room itself was plenty big enough but the sofa bed was not big enough really for 2 people.
The light in the bathroom did not give off any light at all, we reported this to reception aswell as the TV not working , nothing got sorted whilst our 3 night stay.
We only had enough towels for 3 people but this was soon rectified.
Cleanliness was ok, we did have lots of cobwebs in the room.
Breakfast was delicious, good variety.
Beautiful place and grounds.

I liked that it had the fountain from Harry Potter. It was spacious and big. It had all of what a hotel needs. The pool was clean and warm and it was weird that know one was there. A beautiful stay and a beautiful view. I will stay hear again.

Location of the hotel was fantastic & only 20 minutes walk from Kings Langley train station, the garden was a pleasant place to sit either read or have something to eat or drink. The restaurant was friendly & the Salmon Tagliatelle was wonderful.

The staff were very helpful and polite. The food was good and we had no issues being served. The rooms however, although tidy, could have done with some TLC. We had paid for a room with aircon and that unfortunately didnt work. The shower had a fault wereby it didnt keep a constant temperature and fluctuated from being the temperature you wanted to scalding hot. To be fair to the hotel they did offer another room to shower etc in the morning, but as we were only staying for a single night we didnt want all the drama at the time.

Lady who checked me in was absolutely lovely. The hotel is over rated the rooms are not clean there was cobwebs everywhere and a spider in the corner of the walls, there was hair on our bed which clearly was someone else’s. It was not pleasant bed sheets were creases. I wouldn’t stay here again

It was a gorgeous property that had so much to explore, great facilities and everything was so clean and neat would recommend
