The best personel in hotel…

This hotel is beautiful, but it seems to cater more to corporate bookings rather than individual ones. It's a bit far from the city center, but you can easily reach it by taxi for about 7-8 euros. These large corporate hotels are not really our preference, especially since we often travel with our 4-year-old daughter. However, we did appreciate the friendliness of the staff, especially the breakfast staff. There was a lady there who was very nice to us, although I can't remember her name. Unfortunately, we had trouble sleeping on our first night because of a corporate event party on the hotel patio. This made us feel a bit more on edge than usual the next morning. When we spoke to the lady from the breakfast staff about this, she was very understanding and took great care of us during our 3-day stay. She was welcoming not only to us, but to all the guests. It's hard to find people like her, especially in the service industry where long hours and tough conditions make it difficult for people to enjoy their work.
I'm genuinely sorry, but I can't recall her name right now. Nonetheless, she truly enhanced our stay.
Additionally, it appears that the hotel is renovating the room furnishings since it seems that we were in a room with older furniture. This might explain the more reasonable price of the room. Overall, we had a great time during the Thesealenoki trip and enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palace Hotel.

The hotel was nice and I really enjoyed the pool.
The location of the hotel is not in a good area but the hotel provides a free taxi to the main Thessaloniki area. This was very much appreciated. The hotel was good for the 2 days that we were in Thessaloniki.

Unplanned visit due to work, didn’t check any reviews before making the booking. Fast check in especially good for tired travellers, room quality very high with everything you would expect including robes, fast WiFi, excellent bathroom, multiple TV channels. The location is more commercial but close to all the amenities and only a short taxi ride to the water. Overall, highly recommended.

The hotel personnel were outstanding, professional and extremely welcoming. We will be back soon for another stay now that we have the grand’s experience.

Disappointed : checked in at 3:15pm to be told at reception that the pool closed at 3pm. The pool for hotel guests opened next day at 9am. It’s Greece … it’s hot & when you have traveled in the day we were looking forward to relaxing in the pool. This is a hotel that caters for conferences. Individual guests will do better elsewhere. Hotel is located away from central tourist area. It’s on busy, noisy main road with little walking access to restaurants or parks.

This is Dennis M. The hotel has been the worst experience I’ve had traveling around the world. The front desk broke the law demanding everyone’s passport in my group. They don’t ask the judges and there girlfriends for ID. I’m an international traveler and have never been treated so rudely. I asked about the air conditioning and I was told to open a window. The mattress was horrible and very old. I asked for some water this morning at breakfast. They pointed to the water and told me to get the water myself. I thought hotels protected their clients against horrible hotels. Sham on you HOTELS.COM!!!

Everything was great, however, one of the selling points for me was the pool which was closed for the 3-days I was there for a private event.

Великолепный отель, большое удовольствие каждый вечер возвращаться в сияющий огнями сад перед входом и видеть дружелюбные взгляды сотрудников отеля, хорошо организованы поездки в центр за счёт отеля в оба конца, номера удобные и красивые , завтрак показался немного скудным , а вечером ужинали в ресторане, все было превосходно
Хочется особенно поблагодарить Викторию , всегда приветливую и готовую помочь гостям
Отель в общем оставил хорошее впечатление и желание вернуться

We stayed twice in the same hotel. Once on our way to Corinth (road-trip) and once in our way back to Serbia. The hotel isn’t in the middle of Thessaloniki (which was a bonus for me) but since parking is pretty difficult in the middle of town, if you wanted to go anywhere it had to be within walking distance or by taxi. Both times the rooms were clean and beautiful. I read some reviews saying this hotel was outdated and shabby, but they must have renovated since then because both times we stayed it was lovely and looked new. They have a breakfast and parking. The pool is indoor, so closed for Covid. The main problem for me was the beds. They were so hard and uncomfortable. That seems to be a European standard. Do people in Europe not like sleeping in comfort? Another strange thing was the central heating was on and we could not use the air conditioner. It was nearly 78 F outside, so I was a little warm during the evening and would have liked to cool down. But this was their first warm weekend, so they weren’t prepared. The staff was helpful and friendly. The service really made our stay worthwhile. I would go here again.

Very pleasant hotel with very polite staff throughout. Only rated comfort as ok because the room was quite hot and leaving the window open helped but some road noise and emergency vehicles on the road nearby. Bed was quite hard but I like a soft bed -

The Grand Hotel Palace is located near the Central Bus Station (about 5 minutes’ walk), so it is ideal if you arrive late and you need to catch a bus early. My room was very comfortable and it came with a complimentary bottle of wine, dry fruits and small bites of desert. Amenities were very satisfactory and they included shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, a dental kit, a sewing kit, and a shaving kit. The room also provided a robe and slippers. I used the hotel ironing services and I was very satisfied with the result: I got my dress back after a couple of hours and the cost was 12 euros (alternatively you can ask for an iron and do it yourself).
Breakfast was very rich with several choices of sweet and non sweet products, but, alas, I could not try everything. I particularly liked the chocolate pie and the traditional for the area cream pie (bougatsa). There was also a stand where you could get freshly made crepes, pancakes, waffles and donuts. Coffee was excellent and served by the staff.
All and all I had a very pleasant stay.

The room was not cleaned all the Time in a proper way.
The A/C was extremly loud.
At the end of the swimming pool there sticked lots of hairs ans the pool itself was very small and made of plastic.
In total that is not the standard of a 5 Star Hotel. Maximum 3+

big hotel, but old, very old rooms and carpets, bath is always leaking when taking a bath, nothing to do in this hotel even the swimming pool is 2 meters x 2 meters and indoor in a cave,

The room was falling a part. Some parts of the сeiling was peald off and ready to fall down. AC was not working at all. The water temperature in the bath was constantly changing from really cold to extreamly hot. Impossible to take a bath. Location was bad. Pool neighborhood. The stuff was friendly. Free transfer to the center of the city. Not 5 star hotel.

Only a 1 night stay for business, so only limited experience of the full range of services available at the hotel.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the guest relations manager.
In my check in review I marked that I had not received any VIP perks however this was not the case, they had just failed to tell me this at check in.
The room was spacious, although the bathroom was a little small, but very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
Only real complaint is that the shower would fluctuate in temperature, probably due to heavy demand in the morning, I would recommend that thermostatic mixer taps be fitted which would over come this.
For my one night stay this was an excellent choice at the price.

We could clearly hear people in other rooms through the vent system. Possibly through renovations underway?!!?? Flush didn’t work very well. Nice entrance and lobby but downhill as we went up!
