Very co nvenient and very friendly and helpful staff

The Independent Hotel was a beautiful hotel. The room was gorgeous and since we brought our son with us they had a crib set up in the room when we checked in. Also we arrived early since we were on a cruise, the staff checked our bags and assisted with us getting on the hop on and hop off bus. The view from the room was expected…it was the real Rome experience, however the roof top view was beautiful, you can see the entire city. The room was beautiful, I loved the overhead shower and the bed was so comfortable after being on a cruise boat for a week. The Independent is highly recommended by me.

The place was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that the place is close to Termini (good if you need to take the train) but it will dirtier than other parts of the city. Fairly close to many attractions.

The hotel was ideally located close to Roma Termini and the subway. There’s many restaurants, bars and more casual dinning close by. The hotel has been nicely renovated and front desk at staff were efficient and helpful. The rooftop bar is well furnished and relaxing, although drinks were expensive.

Great location, excelent service, and the terrace restaurant was amazing for drinks dinner and breakfast.

Hotel staff was extremely rude, the only staff member that was helpful and kind was Ginevra. Amman was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Booked superior room with balcony. The balcony was very disappointing, it looked out on to large air duct pipes which were noisy and unsightly, so much so we were unable to use the balcony. The room was very nice but expected more from 4 star. The coffee cups were paper, no complimentary water in the room. The shower was powerful. The breakfast was basic to say the least, certainly not 4 star breakfast and so i didnt eat much of it Reception staff helpful when needed apart from when a couple in the next room to us were having a screaming amd shoutibg match at 0430 until just before 6am, the guy on reception didnt really want to know, just said he didnt know which room it came from exactly. He couldve taken the time to find out (before we told him) as the argument sounded very heated. As it happened, the couple left the hotel at 6am together but something shoulve been done earlier. We had high expectations from this hotel but we wouldnt stay again, sadly.

This is a great hotel located very close to the Termini Station in Rome. You can walk to the main areas of Rome (about 20-25 minutes to the Spanish Steps or Colosseum). Nice roof top bar. Breakfast provided by the hotel has lots of options. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Would recommend!

This hotel was amazing. Is very modern, clean and worth it. 5 mins from the train station and walkable to trevi fountain (20 mins walk) which we didn’t mind. The roof top is great and the free breakfast is fantastic.

The staff was not helpful or friendly, got yelled at bc my family didnt eat where the receptionist wanted us to. They were not helpful with any questions on how to get taxi or airport shuttle. For what we paid for the rooms, they acted like they were doing us a favor.

I was looking for a hotel within walking distance of the Termini train station. Most of them people rated poorly and would not stay in them again. I came across the review for this hotel. The only one people said they would stay in a second time. It was easy walking distance. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly. Our room was a comfortable size. It was clean and quiet. The shower had excellent water pressure. The room was renovated and very attractive and great air conditioning. There was a small refrigerator and a nice coffee maker in the room. The roof top bar/ resteraunt has a great view of the city, great snack options for light meal. Excellent breakfast buffet with a great coffee machine. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to others. Another bonus, being close to the train station, you have easy access to the Metro, taxis and bus services.

Great hotel! Clean and the staff was very nice. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast on the rooftop as well as their restaurant next door. Quiet area.

Lobby looks like a very cheap hotel. Area around is dirty and unsafe.

Pros: near the train station and some restaurants nearby if you want a quick bite, comfy beds, rooms are spacious, good breakfast, though there is variety; it’s the same stuff every day. The rooftop is cool for night drinks and the music is excellent especially JJJ Key with his house music. The rooms are clean though room 304 has tons of floor scuff marks, marks on the bathroom wall, the shower is small w some black mold/mildew on the left corner and water goes everywhere on the floor based on the weird door. Cons: I’m not sure if it’s Rome as a whole, but can people smile and be more welcoming? The only ones who were really nice and always smiled were the breakfast staff and cleaning staff. The front desk team is unwelcoming, never smiles, and it’s like you’re bothering them to ask for help. This was the first time ever in my years traveling, where to book a tour, the front staff hands you a book and you have to email the hotel company and do all the work. They can’t call for you? They can’t email you? The guest has to? Also, the main floor is super tight for luggage when checking in and very very hot. May I suggest a roll down screen or a window tint to reduce the sun and heat? Also the guests are probably unknowingly loud. Since the floors are all wood and stone, the hallways echo like crazy.

The hotel location is great, minutes walk from the train station, and around restaurants. The room is decent. I didn’t like the elevator. It was very small and one elevator for the entire building which usually takes a long time to wait for it. Most of the time we took the stairs because the wait took way too long.

Felt that the bed was not clean, i was disappointed that a note said in the bathroom saying , rooms are cleaned every three days . The room was very small and the view of the superior balcony room i had booked was awful. Staff broke my wife bag handle as they moved lugguage to the lobby at checkout. Staff was dishonest and refused to say that they broke it. I will definitely never book this hotel again.

Such a convenient location for this hotel. The service was also fantastic.

Hotel is great, set in a central location and within walking distance of Rome termini so easy when using airports and train services. Hotel is modern, beds comfortable, tea and coffee in room as well as mini bar. Free welcome drink in rooftop bar. Breakfast is also served here and choice a d quality is good. We would have spent more time in rooftop bar but thought drinks were on the expensive side. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Average hotel, more of a 3.5 star than a four star. Great location to the train station.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom! Very close to train station! Rooftop view for breakfast was great!
