Nice ocean view

Overnight stay, poorly maintained room: missing fan cover, broken desk, broken bathroom countertop, discolored shower caulk, marred walls, felt dingy.

We were surprised by the parking fee, even if it was only $10. No coffee in our room. The room is very small and bed wasn’t very comfortable.

If all you will do is sleep & rest, this is the place to be! Some of my reviews were 4 stars only because the elevator needs a good cleaning, the vending machines don’t work, there’s only one luggage carrier & the YV’s need better service. The room we stayed in was very spacious & clean. The front desk woman that checked us in & the guy the checked us out we’re both very pleasant & polite!

We love Rockaway beach, and we've been going there for years. Sometimes at the Inn and some times at the lighthouse. The maid gave us the best service and one guy at the front desk.Sadly the Inn has gone downhill. Either the manager does't have a clue or Corporate doesn't care and let him clean up and fix up the place. There is trash in the parking lot, the elevator rug hasn't been replaced for years, our shower nozzle is coming really loose, our frog flooded the floor on our first night (glad I didn't slip in the dark) and the pillows must be from Ross or Walmart on sale. How sad to see a great destination fall into decay. I wish I had taken pictures, but I wasn't expecting to find a survey in my email. they would have substantiated my survey remarks.

Room was absolutely filthy. Blood on the bedding, stains on all the bedding and pillows. Ants in all the corners of the room. Front desk didn’t even care, didn’t even try to get us another room or offer new bedding or anything.

Great location. That's about it though. This building is in dire need of rehab. It has so much deferred maintenance its almost comical. Don't go in the elevator without shoes - the flooring was absolutely disgusting. Same can be said about all carpets, stairs on stairway, windows and bathrooms. Manager confirmed owner has had building for 20-30 years. He hasn't put a dime back into the building. Stay next door at the Marriott - much much cleaner.

I love everything about this property! The view, the spacious room, the friendly staff, the big beds, even the lobby smelled wonderful! The lady in the lobby even told me where I could buy the scent that they use in their lobby. It smelled heavenly! This little town and this hotel are both hidden gems! Being a seasoned traveler I am becoming a hotel snob. However, I'd love this place! Last night was the best day of our entire trip! My wife and I agreed that we wished we would have stayed here our entire trip not just for one night. I would be delighted to stay here again in the future. The price is also very reasonable. I would pay twice the price for what they offered us.

Family room was nice and big. Pretty clean overall. The ice bucket was disgusting. The elevator carpets were gross and horribly smelly and bleach. The parking was very small and there were not enough parking spaces. I stayed 3 nights and was only able to park inside the parking 1 night. Two other nights I was required to park on the street. I need to be reimbursed for two days of charges for parking!

Yikes! Where to start? Check in was easy. They charge $10 to park, which is a rip off give there is no alternative besides a small handful of street spaces. Room was not very clean. Bedding and towels were the only clean things. I would have left, but rooms elsewhere were fully booked. Here’s the lowdown on everything. - Elevator, stairs, and hall carpets were filthy and ragged. - Floor was uneven in the hallways. Give we were on the third floor, this was concerning. - Curtains in the room did not cover the window. - Room was an ocean view room, but windows were dirty, it was hard to see out. - Room in general was not terribly clean. Dust, dirt, and general lack of upkeep. Seems like housekeeping did the bare minimum. - Bathtub was creaky. Like maybe they did not support it when installed. I felt like I was going to fall through the floor. - Though WiFi was “available,” we were never able to sign in. One bar only. Normally this would be no big deal, but cell service was terrible as well. - In room phone did not work at all. - Kids running up and down the halls at the crack of dawn. - When checking out, the guy seemed bothered to provide a receipt. I will never return to this place.

It is a beautiful area. I love being able to walk to the beach!!

Rooms were clean and looked recently renovated. Area was quiet. Showers have amazing pressure and beds are super comfy. "Ocean view" rooms will be partially obstructed by motel in front of Inn at Rockaway but the distance to Rockaway beach, a 2-minute walk, makes up for it. Only area of improvement was the staff member who checked me out. He seemed to be occupied on the computer. I obviously was interrupting something, as he was annoyed and barely acknowledged me. I wanted to get out of there quickly so no big deal to me, but someone else might have minded this send off.

Close to ocean

The rooms are very updated and clean. The shower did not have good pressure and getting the conditioner out of the dispenser was horrible. The from desk service from the young man was blah. Not good not bad. The price was good and we had an ocean view. They charge $10 to park in their lot. We just parked on the street.

Hotel is very dirty

Quiet, large, and modern room. Very easy to get to the beach, shops, and restaurants.

We got a real ocean view which was nice. The a/c worked really well. The bed was double size, not queen size as we are used to. The lighting was not great for make up near the mirrors, but all else was fine.

Marina at rear of property is nice. Great place to stay if you are catching the boat to the Channel Islands. However, was not given any notice that there was a daily parking fee.

1 night stay.. The Bed Is Not so comfortable pillows are very lumpy... elevator carpet needs to be replaced with tile ... its pretty BAD .. the bathroom exhaust fan cover was missing with exposed fan blades and wires ... front desk assoc. were very nice ...

Everything was great! The west facing rooms had a nice view of the surfers in the morning. The 24hr staff is also really nice.
