The only real issue was that there was something (soup or other) dried on the arm of the chair and rug... disgusting but not cause to move for the 1 night. Loved the view and not too noisy, even with the junior attempts of revelers at 2 or 3 AM. The checkin & checkout were fast and friendly. The bar was classic and the bar tender was well experienced. Parking was available at a clean garage around the corner...about 2 blocks walk with luggage might be a lot for some. Very convenient to the beach of course, being directly across the street. No regrets.

Location excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, room was comfortable. Only negative is general areas could do with an update/facelift but otherwise really enjoyable.

The bathroom was filthy, especially the shower had mold growing everywhere. The staff were not very helpful. When I asked if there was any information on things to do in the area, the front desk suggested I go to the tourism office up the street. Staff was not very helpful with anything. The carpet in the room was pretty dirty also and appeared to have some blood drops on it. Cigarette butt on the balcony for the first two nights. We don’t smoke. The view was great however.

The hotel location is perfect across from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping. However, the room was very small and the carpet needs to be replaced. Our 1st floor room had a view of the roof of a shed in the back courtyard. The hotel did not provide washcloths, tissues or hair toiletries in the bathroom nor was there a topsheet on the bed...only the quilt. Luckily the location made up for all the cons.

This is a beautiful place to stay close to town and Verdon Gorge. The staff was so wonderful and helpful in every way! The entire hotel is kept spotless. The decor is bright and cheerful. The spa with it's extraordinary views is so relaxing after a full day of hiking. Breakfast is first class and gets you ready for the day. We did not want to leave!

We had a great stay. The property has a classic feel and maintained very well. The location is one of the best in Nice- on the beach with easy access to where you want to see in Nice. Special thanks to Nicholas on the front desk staff who went above and beyond in moving us into the Ocean View room we had requested and was always offering help and suggestions. The rest of the staff was very friendly and attentive as well. We would definitely stay here again!

A lovely historical hotel in the best location on Playa de Anglais. We had a first floor room with a spacious balcony with room to sunbathe and take in the beautiful views. The only downside of this hotel was the very disappointing breakfast. The selection and quality of the food was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was annoying having to search out cutlery, napkins, clean plates and wait in line for one and only functioning coffee machine each morning. The hot food selection was a challenge to say the least so I gave up after the first day. The mess left behind from guests attempting to cook their own eggs and pancakes was off putting to say the least. Breakfast was included in our package otherwise I would suggest you don’t bother.

Great location with friendly staff and comfortable furnishings. Our room was across from the beach club so it was loud late on the weekends but that is not the hotel’s fault. I would recommend this hotel!

Hotel is Old and begs for major renovations. Simple things such as Hair conditioner, umbrella and so on doesn’t exist here. Location is great.

I love everything about hotel royal , perfect location for a trip in nice . The water view is amazing, walkable distance to restaurants, bakery and shops.

We were AMAZED by the Deluxe suite here with the double balcony above the flagged entrance...just a stunningly beautiful view of the sea and promenade. Its likely the best experience on the entire beachfront!! Very clean and modern...really want to thank the Front Desk for helping up get checked-in about 2hours early and they were cheerful all week.
