I regularly stay here for an overnight and I really like The Crown. I was in a cosy room on the top floor and it was lovely. The room is clean and whilst small, great for one person. It maybe a squeeze for two though. The noise as it faces the road was not great at 11.30pm but there was an added bonus of a ceiling fan which meant I could close the window and have some air. The only major downside is that the walls are thin and unfortunately someone had a very bad cough. Breakfast was great. I’ll be back!

We were in the townhouse which is no problem but we were in the basement which had lots of steep narrow stairs. Breakfast was amazing and staff very helpful and friendly

We loved Stamford and especially The Crown.The rooms are lovely and the locally sourced food is top class.

A needed relaxing short stay, some retail therapy and some great exploring.

Excellent waitress who carried all my bags to my room on the top floor. Then she served me dinner! Exceptional service, very helpful and friendly.

The staff were amazing, from the helpful lady at check-in to the gentleman offering to help with our bags as we were bringing them down the stairs, to the wonderful cleaning lady who chased after us because my husband left his wedding ring on the nightstand. Can't say enough about what a pleasant stay this was. And the outdoor eating and seating area is beautiful. Great location.

We loved this place. Great dining options and the room was terrific. Hotel decorated beautifully, staff helpful and friendly, and the hotel bar stays open all night long for guests. Breakfast was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to come back.

I was suprised at the room space considering the cost of the room. It was very small The service at breakfast was very poor and we were in the restaraunt for an hour before the food arrived with coffee taking about 30 minutes. I wouldnt complain if i was paying alot less but when it is an expensive stay you expect to get a service that matches

The hotel was amazing and the garden was beautiful. The food could have been better considering the cost. The hotel was perfectly located.

Parking was private and secure. Very comfortable and quiet room. Staff always friendly and very helpful. The restaurant menu was small but well balanced and the food excellent. The full English breakfast was one of the best I've had. Access to town easy - everything within walking distance. I will certainly be staying again and will recommend to friends.

Lovely hotel, central location. Surprised we were staying in a town house along the road.

Check in was very easy and shown to our 1st floor room which had views over the church on one side and the courtyard on the other,everything about the room was very good. With a loverly bathroom and dressing room all very clean and well equipped. The whole hotel was very well maintained and the staff very helpful and cheerful. Service in the restaurant was excellent with a very good menu, the breakfast could not be faulted .we had a two night stay and were very impressed with the all aspects of the hotel

Impromptu night away and we certainly made a great choice. The room was amazing with a bathtub hidden from the bed are by a low screen. Very comfortable room with a great breakfast. Staff all very friendly

The hotel was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The selection of breakfast and evening meal menus was very good. Being situated in the centre of Stamford The Crown was within walking distance of the shops, pubs and restaurants. A very enjoyable stay!

The hotel was fine but the restaurant was fairly expensive for a pub. Also breakfast choices were very strict. At the price we’d paid for the room I thought I could have a bowl of fruit before my bacon sandwich. Big nono!

Lovely place to stay in the centre of Stamford. With a a nice dinner and a great breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Lovely, well decorated, clean and very comfortable room with modern en-suite (great shower!). Staff very helpful, courteous and pleasant. Stamford is a lovely town and The Crown a lovely place to stay (fab breakfast!!). Would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

We had a 3 night stay the dog-friendly Crown, Stamford in a Signature Plus double room and loved every minute. The Crown is conveniently situated in the town, with its own gated car park (first come, first served) so we were able to ditch the car and walk everywhere with our two furry friends. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather all weekend and our trip unexpectedly coincided with the Stamford Garden & Food Festival, a great (and free!) event literally a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Stamford has lots of great independent shops and restaurants as well as the usual chains. We had an excellent meal at the Crown (breakfasts were delicious too) and James, one of the restaurant staff is absolutely worthy of a mention as he made sure our furry friends had fresh water and a supply of biscuits! All the staff were lovely - the breakfast server who owned a whippet, the bar (Manager?) lady and the lady on linens and cleaning - no one could do enough for us. One evening we ate in the Toby Norris, a 13th century pub in the town centre that we later discovered was also owned by The Crown. Again, delicious food. We did venture out in the car on our last day to a couple of local-ish, dog-friendly garden centres, Blue Diamond and Dobbies in Peterborough - both dog-friendly and came home with far more than we left with! We’ll definitely be going back to Stamford and when we do, we plan to stay at the Crown!

The room was unique - with a view of the east window and spire of a medieval church ... from the bath positioned in the bay window. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and well presented. Staff welcoming. A good dinner and breakfast.
