Perfect location for an overnight stay when visiting the horse trials. Parking is via the parking eye so details to be entered at reception. Advise booking a table in advance for dinner. Food was lovely, fresh and quick to arrive.

The staff were polite, courteous and professional. The property and the decor need decorating, however the location and views of Rutland water (especially the sunsets) are spectacular.

Great location & clean room. Room was however tired & dated & in need of investment.
It needed a power shower, bedside lamps, more power sockets & a bigger better placed tv.
Breakfast was okay but staff struggled with demand, it reminded me of scout camp !
We had to wait for plates and glasses.
Hotel generally needs some serious nvestment before ii'd consider returning.

Great location. We had a dog with us so were given a basic quite tired room which was same price as a much nicer rooms in the main house. A bit cramped. Food was good and prepared very quickly. Bar area a bit of a thoroughfare. Staff wee very friendly and service was excellent.

There was a wedding on so we had a free firework display!
The waiter at dinner did not open or pour our wine just brought it in a bucket and left it on the table.

Beautiful setting, so tranquil and calm.
We were on a cycling adventure when we stayed at this wonderful hotel. The staff were caring and professional, they found us a secure inside space to park our bikes, which left us free to relax and not worry about the security of them. We had a lovely evening wander around Rutland water( not all the way round, its 17 miles !)
Our bed was probably one of the comfiest we had ever slept in.

I cant recommend this hotel enough right from check in to check out the staff were super friendly and helpful they couldnt do enough for you and the bed was super comfy we will definitely stay here again if in the local area
Prices are reasonable for food and cooked very well, breakfast was a buffet help yourself and has a varied choice for everyone and willing to do extras if needed fresh choice of eggs etc.

We had problems with the difficult water controls for the shower resulting in almost getting scalded as it was impossible to turn the cold water on without instructions on how to do it. Also, asa pensioner, I found the floor of the bath very slippy. I needed a bath mat

It was so disgraceful, the room was too small ( tiny) not comfortable to stay. There was a window that was too high needed a step ladder to look out what was outside the room. Kennel is much better than the room that we stayed. It was so frustrating even the shower , blocked the water didn’t drain.

Lovely stay in an excellently located hotel by Rutland Water. Watched sunset over the lake from the conservatory restaurant. Excellent food and service. Comfortable room and lovely garden leading down to the waterfront foot/cycle path. Cycle hire 10 minutes walk away. Great place to get away from it all in a beautiful rural setting

Great hotel if you want easy access to the lake. 10 minutes walk to the church and 15 to the sailing club. However almost 2 hours walk to the hides for osprey Interesting fact this hotel could be five star because of the location, but is not luxury. Tired rooms and staff

Friendly staff and comfortable, but the single room in desperate need of a painting with an update for the price. The lighting from the car park was far too bright in the room, question the need for such brightness all through the night when not in regular use.

Friendly staff. It was right next to Rutland water so great for a morning stroll or just nice to have a great view to admire over breakfast. . Picture on the website does not really do it justice, it looks far better when you arrive, especially the front courtyard entrance.

Fantastic place to stay, there is a nice walk around the lake. The food was nice and quickly served at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly. When you book ask if theere is aparty on as the hotel accomodates weddings. I definitely got the value back for £63 for last-minute booking.

Just requires a bit of maintenance. It’s a bit grotty around the bathroom. No toilet roll holder, it’s just broken and half missing. The work top doesn’t line up and is all coming away. It’s all just in desperate need of a bit of money invested back in it.
The location is unbelievable, it could be so, so much more with the correct investment.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. The breakfast was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

The hotel is ideally situated by Rutland Waters with many walks available and great garden. The staff were all extremely pleasant, for us Lauren and the receptionist (sorry forgot her name) made our stay special.
