The property had a great view and location. It was easy to get on the public transport to anywhere. The hotel was doing renovations, this was not great. And the restaurant and bar were not open unfortunately.

Abigail was just amazing. She was always there to help, give recommendations about the area or just a friendly chat. Restaurant and bar on site.Bus very close. The views are spectacular. negatives--The walls are a little thin if you are a light sleeper and the wifi is not free in your room.

Solid 3 star hotel, very clean, nice staff, comfy beds, good value for the money. We got sea view, balcony, not double bed but 2 singles joined together, and not too many facilities in the room, but also we didn't pay much so great value for money :-) we would come back, nice pool and very friendly people.

The hotel is fairly isolated and except for the associated restaurant, our stay uncomfortable. The tap water is not drinkable and drinking water was not provided except from a machine for 1 euro per 500ml. The nearest grocery outlet sells water for less than 1 euro for 2 l. The elevator failed one night and we 75ys plus had to walk up about 100 stairs from the restaurant. The views were very good. The restaurant was great and the owners very friendly and helpful.

You have to pay extra for everything kettle - 1.50 EUR per every day We paid 40 EUR for very small fridge (for 8 days) Wifi - 15 EUR for 7 days We stay in this hotel 11 nights, only 1 time they changed linen on our bed, Terrible breakfast - (11 days) there is not buffet, when you go on breakfast staff asking me what kind of breakfast I want, cold or hot. Cold breakfast is platter with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices cheese, some not fresh salad (color was brown) 1/4 egg, 1/4 tomato and 1 slice cucumber. Hot breakfast is some beans, 2 sausages and 1 fried egg. You can take cold or hot only, no more.Breakfast is from 7am to 9am Really I do not recommend this hotel for everyone.

We booked a taxi to the airport early morning. 25 euro. It came on time! But with 2 very fat persons in it....... And a lot of baggage, it was not possible to put the seatbelt on at the back seat :-(((() and of course they have payed 25 as well..... This is not okay !

No amenities, have to pay for everything No wifi no shampoo in rooms poor tv - rooms not cleaned properly. Breakfast poor selection. Pool nice good view

No free WIFI, Outrageous fees for wifi service. I paid for free breakfast with room but manager did not honor booking. TV had only 5 channels with no remote. AIRCON did not work. Bathroom not properly cleaned upon arrival. No complimentary toiletries. No fridge or ice machine, microwave. I would not stay here again! Avoid at all costs!!!

Just a one way stay on the way to the Gozo ferry, friendly staff, fairly basic but adequate for our stay. Continental breakfast in nice restaurant with good views of the sea. Parking still been built, but parking on a hill on a quiet street outside hotel.

The salt water pool was amazing, simply amazing. Right on the water and right next to the bar for refreshments. And my 4th floor balcony had the best view right over the water perfect for sunrise. That about ends the good points. Breakfast is not always included and for 6 euros a day you can find a much better option for less just down the street. The elevator is teeny tiny (could hold one person and one suitcase) and was ever so slow. My bed linens had visible holes from where previous customers had burnt it with their cigarettes. Luckily there was no smell. The A/C was virtually non-existant, you have to use your room key to turn on the A/C which means it will be off if you are not in the room it's off. And there's not much power going to those units anyway. The doors to the rooms are sketchy at best, they do not lock other than you need a key in the door handle but there is no other means of locking the door from the inside. Upon check in I misread the room number on my key, went to open the wrong room door and that door popped right open! There is wi-fi, for a modest fee, but in my room on the 4th floor there was only one area of the room that got wi-fi signal...the bathroom. How awkward.

We will surely return - thanks!

The hotel does provide good service and the front desk staff are friendly. The hotel 'does the job' as a good base to stay for your trip to malta. It's in the north so it's near the beaches but 20km from Valetta and the south which is probably a better place to stay. Our room was fine, clean although towels weren't changed that often. Our double bed was two single beds pushed together and there was only one chair on the balcony! It had good air con and a good shower. Food is not poor but not great - not a lot of variety at breakfast but again, did the job. There is a beautiful view of the bay from the hotel and restaurants in the area are fairly good. Wouldn't recommend but good value for money if you're not looking for a luxurious place to stay.

this wa a great experience,the location overlooking the St Paul's bay is unparalelled, sea side dining,the service and food itself is great,very clean very convenient by car and bus.staff is very co operative, for a very reasonable cost

The hotel is quite nice, staff are friendly, rooms are big (tip we got a sea view room, but even if you get a side sea room you still get to see a good view of the bay and you'll save money). The breakfast arrangements were a bit confusing and the breakfast wasn't the best. The area itself is VERY quiet, ideal for couples and maybe people who rent a car. The bus service has just recently changed to Arriva in Malta and is currently a nightmare (buses breaking down, crowded etc) I would suggest hiring a car. Otherwise Malta is a beautiful country and if your British, the people will love you even more!

The hotel was 30 minutes away from the airport with a costly taxi ride. This was unknown to me when I booked with Expedia. The WIFI was down, the computers the hotel offered were down, and the televisions were down. The television was fixed the next day. However, I read the internet availability and planned to do work while relaxing which was impossible with the technical problems the hotel failed to inform me with prior to arrival. The staff was nice. The hotel is located in a very quite part of town with no life after 7 pm. This was another unknown surprise and not a good one.

The Ambassor Hotel was a bargain offering a bed and breakfast rate less than half that of UK Premier Inn/Travelodge and for that I recieved a friendly welcome, great service and a clean room. I'm sure the owners would not disagree that the hotel is slightly faded but for an end of season, great value and convienient location I would fully recommend this hotel.

Staff helpful but facilities and decor suffering from under investment. Food basic and boring!!!! After 7 breakfasts with no change yuk! Pool area good and bar ok although the bar man could be a bit friendlier. Limited information on travel on buses and no availaibility of maps etc in hotel.
