Lovely hotel with great Mexican style architecture, furnishings, plants etc. Very clean. The owner was very helpful and talked a lot with my wife and myself. Small heated pool is a bonus especially in winter. This hotel is on a quiet street that is about 5 minutes walk from the main square and cathedral. 5 minutes walk to pedestrianised streets with a good variety of shops and restaurants. I would stay here again.

High Points: Beautiful Courtyard, Nicely Appointed Rooms, Heated Pool, Great Restaurant with Awesome Coffee & Cocktails! Close to Town Center but far enough away when wanting to rest. Transportation readily available. But MOST the Kindness and Accommodation of the Owners and Staff. My US Bank restricted my Debit Card after a Single Transaction during a Layover in Mexico City. When I attempted to pay the bill when checking in, it was declined, I hadn't created enough payment options on other cards or secured enough Pesos to pay the bill, MY BAD! I ASSURED them I had the funds but it was late and I'd have to call my bank the next morning. They allowed me to check in without paying, NEVER HAPPEN IN THE OLE USA, so FIRST THING the next morning, I sorted it out and was at the office when they opened to fully pay for my stay!!! THIS PROPERTY WILL BE MY GO TO FOR ME AND MY ASSOCIATES EVERY TIME WE ARE IN San Cristobal de Las Casas! Mucho Gusto!

My family and I loved our stayed at LaCasa De Mama. The place is very clean, staff friendly and the manager/owner was on site to make sure all our needs were meet. I will definitely return and recommend this place to my friends and family. Gracias!

Nice staff and great place in San Cristobal de las Casas!

The property is very clean and beautiful. The only thing that was a bit of a nuisance was how everyone that was at the pool was very noisy. We called the desk and they did not handle the situation. For two nights the echo of the guest by the pool was happening until 1 am which did not allow for us to have a comfortable night of rest. Parking was also an inconvenience.

It’s a great place to rest, with a always hot pool, a rustic and pretty aspect, the only thing to improve is the late check out than doesn’t exist, you need to pay and extra night by only few hours

This place is beautiful, clean and walking distance to everything. The only gripe I have is the lack of mini fridge and microwave in the rooms. But that's what you get for the price I guess.

The pool area and the garden was beautiful. The service was excellent. It was walking distance to the downtown area and an easy walk to restaurants. The nice thing is they have an on-site restaurant if you need to catch some coffee and breakfast before heading out for a tour.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, friendly staff, great price, the pool was heated, we had an amazing time in town. The only thing that could’ve been better at the hotel is that they did not have heating in the room and it was very very cold. They gave us extra blankets And that was OK, but a small portable heater would’ve been perfect.

Cannot recommend this little quaint hotel enough. It is wonderful! Perfect location, friendly courteous staff and owners, just loved it! Will be back!

Great hotel. Only a few streets away from the Central park.

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights and it was not only an amazing room/location (very clean) but also an amazing service since my husband got a little sick from a side trip and the hotel owner Flor cooked him rice (twice!!) to make him feel better. We highly recommend the place for its unique charm & soul and cleanliness!

It’s a very convenient location, very clean and the heated pool is nice. It would’ve been very helpful to know that the kitchen is close and they don’t serve breakfast as advertised or that the wifi is almost non existent in the rooms, you would need to be as close as possible to the reception in order to get wifi. Staff is friendly helpful

The property is beautiful and close to the City center. The place is very clean. We chose the hotel because it has a small swimming pool our children could use in the afternoons. Unfortunately on the first day we arrived we noticed the owner chastising one of her employees. On our second day we had a late breakfast in the restaurant. We also ordered two beers at around 1 pm. She said we could drink them on the patio because they needed to clean the restaurant. She then came out and told us we had to hide the beers under the table because of the health inspectors and that it was a family place and we couldn’t drink bottles and bottles of wine. After I explained to her that her words were upsetting and we were on a family trip and that she had been the one to sell us the beer she changed her story. There is also a mass held every morning and some evenings in a room right by the Pool. After the weird interaction we just avoided her but it made the rest of our stay uncomfortable. I think the pandemic must have been hard on her with the restrictions or something. In general it was an uncomfortable experience all around and we wouldn’t stay there again with or without a pool.

The staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and the location was great! Will come back:)

My daughter and I stayed for two weeks. The family run hotel is warm and helps with anything you need. The shower wasn't working right and the own came and fixed it himself, with a smile. Very friendly atmosphere, delicious coffee and a garden you have to see to believe. It was truly a delight to stay here. Near to the center, but a couple blocks away so not so busy. We will be back!

This hotel is a gem. Family run and near to everything. The pool in a central location is rare, warm and wonderful. As is the gorgeous garden courtyard and pool patio. Very clean and helpful, delicious breakfast cafe. Views from 3rd level are the best and a bit more quiet. First floor was quiet as well, i think due to covid there were not many guests. travel agent on site which is convenient. I'll always return here.

Great gem. Beautiful view, close enough to walk to the city center. Clean and beautiful property. Very relaxing and great service. I highly recommend La Casa De Mama.

The beds were rock hard and the restaurant was very slow. It took 45 minutes to make eggs and there was only one other table. The pool was nice and warm despite the cold air. The double rooms were very small, barely enough room to walk around the two beds. The towels were also very scratchy and old.

I loved the cleanliness of hotel, beautify hotel, friendly staff, personalized attention, 4 blocks from main plaza, restaurants, bars and shopping. Weather is about 66°, so best of all pool is heated!

It was a great stay. Everything was walking distance. A lot of restaurants near by. Plenty of churches to visit close by. The staff was friendly and curious.
