Staff were excellent, but, the property needs much renovation. In motel room, doors were hanging off cabinets, had to fix toilet because it wouldn’t flush, staff came and had to fix tv because remote did not work. Also, no coffee was offered in the lobby in the mornings.

The front desk clerk was amazing. He was very polite,.professional, and helpful. The room we booked was clean and smelled nice. It was cozy and comfortable. The beds were too hard for me but I don't care for firm mattresses. The pillows were nice and fluffy. The coffee was good. The building was under some construction and the elevator felt a little rickety but our overall stay was really good. I would be happy to stay at another Candlewood Suites in the future.

Check in staff was easy going and answered all questions.

Everything was nice

The bathroom had loose tiles all around the tub. The shower curtain was too short and sprayed water all over the floor which it appears cause the list tiles. Some shoddy drywall repair from water damage.

We had to kill several big cockroaches, was scared to sleep and one crawl on me

Room 104 floor was soaked, staff knew blamed a/c units rather than fix root cause. Mildew smell, wet, moldy ceilings. Rip off

Live & dead roaches. Won’t stay there again. Hard to sleep knowing there is live roaches in your room.

Most part clean. Little issues here and there but nothing major. Would stay again.

I had trouble with key pad on the door to the room. Had to insert card several times for it to work. It was a hassle and inconvenience. Other than that the hotel itself was clean and neat.

Came to Victoria to see my Godson fight in MMA and was very impressed with the service, room and cleanliness. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was overbooked, so they turned me away when I went to check-in. The clerk was friendly, but could not get me transferred to a sister property.

The hotel was well located for ease of off and on access. It was near some good restaurants and shopping. Our stay was comfortable. Unfortunately, we had a visit from a cockroach noted in the kitchen area sink.

The room reserved was not the room they put us in. I had to go down to the front desk and ask for the room i reserved. They put us in a new room and then in the morning the toilet didn't work. I told the front desk and she said they would fix it. When we came back, it still didnt work. Went to check out and told her. She said oh yeah i forgot maintenance doesnt come in til the evening. I should have given you a plunger

I did not understand the ice machine being in the laundry room.

The front desk was very nice, but the elevator was out. From reading other reviews it had been out quite awhile before we arrived. A heads up when have been nice because we had a lot of luggage for a long trip. The room was very hot and would not stay cool; it was also not very clean and housekeeping could definitely stand to be retrained. We also had an extremely loud guest across the hall screaming and slamming things all hours of the night. The TV in the bedroom was missing a remote and we had to switch back and forth with the living room remote if my daughter wanted to watch something different. There was also no breakfast which was kind of an inconvenience. We were offered fruit, poptarts and microwavable sandwiches, but that's not something we were interested in for a long stay. The 3rd floor was also very hot, dingy and musty.

Our family reserved a king suite for 2 nights. When we drove up to the property it was clean and there is a Starbucks, Olive Garden and gas station in the same area. Positives First: The front desk staff and all of the staff actually were very nice and helpful!! We were checked in quickly. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was very spacious. The room was nice and clean! The fridge was a great size, there were dishes and cupboards and a dishwasher. Definitely enough space for a family of 4 and probably more with a sleeping bag or air mattress. Negatives: The elevator. We have a person with disability in our family so we rely on elevators in hotels. This elevator did not work properly. The front desk staff actually said it’s broken several times in the last few months. It was scary every time we used it but we had to. It actually broke the night of our 2nd day and we had to figure out how to get the family member down the 3 floors of steps. Not ok. Thankfully it was working the next morning. Also…breakfast. What the heck?! It said continental breakfast on the site but what you actually get is a microwaved, dry, sausage or bacon Jimmy dean sandwich and a fruit if you wanted it. So disappointed. My daughter said it tasted like paper. She was correct. No waffles or breakfast bar here. Ugh. The bed: our king bed was so so uncomfortable. It was like we were laying on coils with no cushion. Worst sleep we’ve had in a long time!

Staff was friendly and helpful. However, I was told after check in that the elevators were not working and I would have to take the stairs. I did see later than a small sign had been placed on the 2nd set of entrance doors. However, this is information that should have been conveyed prior to check in. I have rheumatoid arthritis so stairs are difficult for me. The room was comfortable and clean. However, the stairwells and hallways were hot and muggy. It is somewhere I would stay again once the elevator situation is taken care of.

I liked being next door to Starbucks and Italian restaurant. On the negative side: The hotel appears aged and the hall carpet is dated and smelled stale/moldy. The lobby area is nice but the remainder of the hotel looks well used. The inoperative elevator gives the impression that the management is lacking funds to provide modern day updates. The location is perfect and would draw more visitors if updates were made. And lastly, while I understand that renting rooms to the companies for their construction or oil fields workers is essential to the bottom line, it can be a negative for the hotels overall appearance and demeanor. Very nice ladies working the front desk.

The room was very clean and fresh. The Ac had been on and there was no mustiness and the air was crisp. I would have liked to have had a hot breakfast line available, but the breakfast bag for heating in the room is a nice idea and handy.

I was given keys to someone else’s room who was staying already. I was told they were sorry but I booked on hotels.com so they couldn’t do anything. The third floor had no ac running so hallway was hot and musky. Elevator was out so I had to up and down to the third floor twice because I was giving wrong room. Will not be staying there and this is the second time I was treated differently there for booking with hotels.com
