Themed hotel which was a lot of fun in a brilliant location and secure parking !

We stayed two different times and both rooms’ bathrooms flooded. The second room A/C broke down. We told the staff in the afternoon before leaving and when we came back at night it was still not cooling. We told the staff again and their solution was giving us a fan. At checkout we asked for a refund and they denied it. They told us they checked the A/C and left it at 22C and that probably 22C was too hot for us. We are from the Caribbean, 22C is cold for us! Outside of the above, the room’s decor seems to be purposely ugly. I understand there’s a theme of a college, but why does it need to feel like a dorm, specially for the price?

Great location, central to Vieux Lyon

Wonderful hotel in the heart of le vieux Lyon near everything a tourist could ask for. The personnel were polite, welcoming and very helpful. I wished that the room was a bit larger but I guess the choice was mine in terms of room. Highly recommended.

Loved this converted school! Eclectic decor, comfortable and cozy library and lovely terrace with bar. Great location. Would most definitely stay here again!

Hotel is in a good spot for tourists with train station and bus just meters away Rooms are small but functional

The hotel is nestled in a very busy neighborhood with tons of shopping and dining options (of course most busy after 8 PM. If you have a car contact them in advance for pre-paid parking in their garage (we didn't know this). Finding parking could be difficult, but since we were a late check-in the let us keep our car in their two-slot check in area. The breakfast was very good with the usual assortment of carcuterie and some decent creamy scrambled eggs. We'd go again.

3 nights in Lyon. Wonderful stay at College Hotel. Perfect location in Old Town/ St Paul.

Absolutely terrible. Hotel wasn’t even a hotel. The location was unmapped on gps. Super sketchy. Emergency number had a lady who had zero clue about the property leaving us stranded in Lyon France. Waisted time, money and vacation on this booking. Will not be using this platform again as customer service is empowered with nothing to help when things go bad.

Very nice hotel in Lyon old town with the benefit of on site parking, albeit in a small car park accessed by car elevator. This can be a bit tricky to get in and out of due to limited space but it is great to have a secure place to park. Hotel has quirky school decor which is really well done. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful, despite us not speaking French. Very close to lots of restaurants, bars and historical sites. Easy access to everything on foot.

What a shock. Hotel is definitely not up to the standard of a 4 star. I would describe it more like a bottom level hostel with private bathroom. The room was absolutely filthy.. dead bugs with blood smeared on the walls. The bathroom tile had splatter stains , the grout was filthy (not just old, just never cleaned), there was mold. We felt so uncomfortable that we laid down towels on the floor to walk. To top it all off the water was cold for all of our showers. We arrived later and have a small child so last minute change was not possible. We then had hotels.com contact the property to discuss the stay and the “manager” was just magically never available or around, multiple contacts.. never a response. What an absolute disappointment. Do yourselves a huge favour and don’t stay at this hotel.

This hotel is in a prime location. Easy walking distance to everything. If you are driving, don’t forget to book it in prior.

Collège Hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the old part of Lyon. The concept & style of the hotel is unique & creative. The open spaces are wonderful and the school design is fun & whimsical. The rooms leave much to be desired, we even stayed in

Simple accommodation with all basic needs in a great location for walking to old town as well as the city attractions. Liked the college decor. Very helpful staff /receptionists.

Love this hotel ! Fantastic stylish reception area and a real sun trap terrace with bar. Rooms clean and cool decor. Staff so helpful. And LOVE the parking - cool lift to get to it !! Also a fantastic location. Just 5 minutes any way to bars and restaurants. LOVE it !

The breakfast was excellent with even a machine making fresh orange juice. Never had that anywhere before. Excellent choice of breads, jams etc. it was all clean , very comfortable bed. Curtain fabric was frayed and worn, hence the TLC comment. Very good location. Fab roof terrace. Very helpful women in the day time. Night manager had no English. Another lovely touch was free carafes of water to take to your room, either still or fizzy, which saved us a lot of time, not looking around town for shops that sell large bottles of water, which are always doing!

Loved my stay at Hotel College! First, I must acknowledge the staff: 5🌟!! They were extremely helpful, thoughtful, and informative. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a fun theme of school running tastefully and playfully throughout the decor. There was a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the street - perfect for a pre- or post-dinner drink or snack. The hotel was well situated within the old town while being in a quieter part of the touristic area. You are steps from many major sites and a variety of restaurants and bars. Be sure to try the boulangerie at the corner (turn right as you leave the hotel). I’ll definitely stay here again my next time in Lyon.

Great vibrant and central hotel with a dedicated eco touch.

Price quality a total rip off.... i know that prices during a fair are high but this was really over the top giving the conditions of the very very basic small room. Breakfast also a joke and disappointing
