This was just a quick stop over for one night with my partner and 7 year old. The staff were brilliant and the food in the pizza bar was great. The family room was very spacious and well equipped. We used the leisure facilities and could have used the driving range or had a round of golf. Would definitely stop again.

Service in restaurant was terrible. Breakfast items on hot buffet were burnt or empty. Room was like an oven.

Amazing staff. Great stay. Great location. Only thing I would say that would be a slight negative would be that the pool wasn’t open long enough. I would have loved it if it was open till 11/12 at night.

This was a hard one to review but first of all the staff were fantastic, the hotel facilities were great and the position of the hotel were just what we needed and we would stay there again BUT not in a budget room. It was dated to say the least, the bathroom door has deteriorated wood at the bottom, the bath panel was missing moulding and showing silicone where whatever was missing, bed sheet had a big hole in it at the side and the duvet was bulky at the sides (when we tried to straighten it found it was the actual quilt) There was coffee and tea facilities which were good and water in the little fridge but no usb sockets or plugs at the bed and the light shades were very old looking, the mirrors were peeling round the edges too. The room was very clean and large and had all we needed hence 3 stars but I wouldn't stay in it again overall the hotel itself was very good and we should have complained during our stay but I guess that's what the budget price gets you so keep this in mind. I would however stay here again but definitely not in a budget room.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and the room clean and modern. However, I was given a double room when I had booked a twin, as I was staying with a friend. With no other rooms available we were left to make do. Neither the team that checked us in or out were able to resolve the situation saying they'd escalate to management but I've never had a call.

I have two new hips and a bad back. This was not a good venue for me.

No kettle in the room initially. Shower not working despite several reports. Very poor bar service. In-fact the worst I have ever experienced.

Had a broken plug and no handle on the sink tap, raised with front desk. they just unstuck the plug and didnt fix the handle on the tap. Room are very outdated and need updating, not a great stay as you can stay much nicer places for the same money within central newcastle.

Staff didn’t care at all, no hospitality. Which is such a shame as we got married at this venue 9 years ago. Such a shame to see such a lovely hotel decline

Our stay was supposed to be a chance to relax. We attended a ball on the Saturday, the food was ok, only exciting dish was the chocolate cheesecake. We were extremely disappointed to find the spa facilities out of action. The cold pool was the only thing available, we were told we could relax and use the relaxation room but after being interrupted twice in a space of five minutes and then being told we had to be out to accommodate spa day guest we were no longer relaxed and resigned ourselves to our hotel room to listen to the doors banging non stop.

Room was very hot. No ventilation other than a communal patio area accessed by patio doors………along with 5 other rooms. Toilet seat cracked and some spot lights not working in Bathroom.

Good price for what you get. Quiet area.

Property in a lovely location, but dilapidated. Needs to work on improvements. 4 star should have air con and working wifi. Temperature of the room made sleeping almost impossible. Sheets clean. Shower was powerless and would have been better just standing under the tap as I was pretty much sat on it to get wet. A real shame.

Everything was good apart from fridge in room was broken

Room was lovely. Newly renovated. Pool also seemed newly done however was strange having to walk from spa area to pool especially on way back all wet. Not huge changing rooms either. Staff were all pleasant but in low numbers.

When we can to this hotel we didn’t expect a lot but what we got was amazing we had the superior room which was £10-£30 more expensive but so worth it, the room size was like an apartment nicely split up and the bath and shower combo was good to have

This is a “get-away” hotel with a golf course and spa facilities. A car is needed to get anywhere away from the hotel for shopping or other entertainment. It worked for us as I could play golf while my partner was in a four-day workshop. Very nice golf course with club and trolley rental. Staff at the golf course provided great service. Service at the one restaurant was not so great in the evenings. Compared to some other hotels in Newcastle, the breakfast buffet was disappointing for the same costs. The “privilege” room provided a nice view of the golf course and was comfortable except for poor lighting in the bathroom made it difficult to apply makeup or shave.

I booked this hotel due to it's facilities and wasn't disappointed with my ability to use the pool and hot tube. I will say though not the worst mattress it was very hollow in the middle and mostly in need of a replacement. My friend who slept on the single bed was quite happy though.

Loved the EV charging facilities. Location is excellent for visiting the North East.

The hote was ok but a bit outdated, half the lights in the room didn't work, the nightmare was at 2am a extractor fan or something like it came in and went of at 4 am which is loud and keeps you awake,

Room very hot with radiator on but wasn't needed. Struggled to get it cooled down. Room otherwise okay but was a bit dated.. Would visit again but not in the summer!!

It was amazing. Very clean

i work away from home every week and this has to be the worst bed i have ever slept in, i requested a hard mattress and i never got one. I could hear the guys above me every move including coughing.

Definitely needs some money spending on updating the gym equipment, very worn and tired. Our fridge didn't work which was a shame, but the hotel is overall absolutely fine it just feels like it needs refreshing
