The hotel was very easy to find being opposite the train station and the old town and the beach were easily accessible. The bed was very comfortable and it was helpful to have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Stayed here one night, everything was clean and in working order. The hotel is on a busy street but the windows are well insulated so the noise wasn't a problem. The bed was very comfortable, the mattress was soft and they gave lots of pillows. Parking wasnt easy to find and it's paid, if you have heavy luggage you might have to carry it a bit.

The hotel is difficult to find as it is right on a roundabout. There is limited tight parking. Check in was efficient. The room was small, tired and a small bed. Limited tea/coffee facilities. I requested more milk capsules and was told they would be brought to the room. They never arrived and then reception had closed. Check out was a fiasco. Had to wait and the receptionist was in a blind panic. She took my payment and then insisted it hadn’t gone through. She took it again and yes, she charged me twice. To their credit they contacted me two days later and apologised.

Very warm welcome, super comfortable mattress, we had the STD.dble which was bit small for us but acceptable. Super quiet room opening to air shaft.

Only hiccup was that despite having explicitly reserved two twins, we got a single larger bed. Staff was helpful in making a dinner reservation, advising how to get to parking.

Convenient location across the street from the train station, where there is free parking. A 10 minute walk to the beach and less to restaurants in the old town. The traffic circle in front was a little crazy since we arrived at a busy time (6pm) but was much less so at other times. There is a space in front that is supposed to be for unloading luggage, but there always seemed to be a car parked there. We stayed in a room facing the courtyard which was very quiet. Room and bathroom were small but well put together.

Saint Jean de Luz is beautiful. The hotel was very well situated close to the city centre and just in front of the train station. The staff were very friendly but we found the breakfast quite expensive. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable, but the room and the bathroom were very small overall. There was no much space to move. Nice of them to give a free bottle of water in the room.

Excellent location just 3 minutes walk from the train station. Located centrally, within easy walking distance from most important spots in old city. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Room was well appointed and functional but nothing fancy. Breakfast for 11 Euros was ample, with good spread & eggs made to order. Excellent value.

Relais St Jacques is a Neat and Tidy small hotel, only a few minutes walk to the old town and seafront of St Jean de Liz. An excellent location for our 2 night short stay. Parking is an issue throughout this busy town, but a previous review gave good advice about some free spaces right outside the hotel. They are right on the roundabout outside the hotel. We were lucky to get one when we arrived, but there are also car parks very close, although they mostly charge. Although the hotel is on a roundabout we were never bothered by noise. We were on the first floor overlooking the roundabout, and railway station, and the double glazing doors to the balcony impressively muted any traffic. We had a fantastic nights sleep in one of the most comfortable beds I have ever come across. The welcome at the hotel was friendly, and everything in good order. We didn't take breakfast so I can't comment on that. This little hotel was really good value and left us with money in our pockets to enjoy some of the many excellent restaurants.

Our room was clean and nice. The bathroom was spacious. I found the staff especially friendly and helpful. They speak English.

Easy walk to the beach, port and nightlife. Room was small but fine. Only gripe was front desk security. We left our bags in reception while we collected the car and on return reception was empty - anyone could walk in and take them. I collected a package from behind the desk and saw a handbag sitting there too. No-one saw me take our bags. They really need a store room.

A very nice hotel, very close to the centre of town and opposite the train station..A good breakfast and very clean room and bathroom.

This is a very pleasant small boutique hotel. Staffs were very nice. One of them gave us a good recommendation on a restaurant. It is located just in front of the train station and also the bus terminal (Halte Routiere), very convenient. We took a bus from Bayonne to Sant Jean de Luz, and there are four bus stops in S.J de Luz. You should get off at the last stop Saint Jean de Luz Halte Routiere. The only thing was that the shower door had some structural problem, and you have to be careful when you take a shower. Otherwise, the whole bathroom floor will be totally wet. Higher grade rooms have windows facing the ocean and seem really nice, though we are happy with our room except for the shower issue.

Everything was excellent! Our room had everything we need, including a comfortable extra bed for our son (10 years old). Super clean. Everyone from the charming owner to the staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is well located. It is just across the street from the train station, and few blocks away from the beach. We had a great stay!
