This was a wonderful place to stay! Very clean and safe. It’s easy to walk to downtown from here where the pubs and shops are. Fraser is friendly and kind and full of suggestions for things to do and see in Inverness. The breakfasts were delicious. If you’re a dog person his dogs are super friendly and sweet. I highly recommend Ballifeary Guest House.

Property was really nice and beds very comfortable. Could have had a bit more choice for breakfast.

Ballifeary is a beautiful home. Fraser is the consummate gentleman. He gave us great ideas for places to visit in the area. The main part of town is only 5 - 8 minute walk and he knew all the best places and the need to make reservations. Each morning we received a delicious breakfast which we chose from a menu the night before. It was ready at the time we chose to be in the dining area.

Ballifeary was absolutely wonderful. The room was lovely, the food was excellent, and Fraser was an amazing host who saved the last of our trip. We had a route planned back to Edinburgh that wouldn't have really showed off the highlands, and Fraser gave us recommendations on how to go instead. His recommendations for Inverness were spot on as well. So glad that we stayed here!

Excellent service, excellent value

Fraser was the best host and went above and beyond. Both mornings of our stay he made us yummy brown bag breakfasts to take with us since we had to leave early. The house feels like home and is clean as a whistle. The beds feel like comforting clouds. Book here, and you'll sleep like a baby.

What an amazing place to stay. The owners are fantastic as they were very sociable and love to give you recommendations while you’re in the area or for your next destination. Breakfast was amazing! The room was spacious, beautiful, and very clean. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty on the 2nd floor but usable. Would totally recommend you stay here if you’re in the area!!

I was made very welcome and the room was so lovely, it was perfect.

No way to switch on the light in the loo or toilet. Otherwise everything was perfect.

This neat and tidy little B and B was in a great location all within walking distance of downtown Inverness. The host Fraser was incredibly nice and so very helpful with information about the area and things to see along our journey. Every morning they serve a nice breakfast to start the day and it was very quiet for a good night's sleep. Definitely a thumbs up!

Great location, comfortable clean room, powerful shower, and tasty breakfast. The host is really great- super friendly, with tons of info on things to do in the area or an answer to any question you might have. He is a wealth of knowledge about how to have a great Scotland trip! We took all his advice, and had great day trips. Plus Marley the dog is a very cute bonus to have at the house for those of us missing our pets. Close to everything in town, a great place we hope to return to one day.

Staying at Ballifeary House in Inverness is a real Scottish experience. The home is beautiful, the hosts are friendly, professional, and very accommodating. Be sure to try the home-made marmalade, it is wonderful. I had to ask to leave my suitcase at the house as my pickup was delayed for several hours and the hosts were very helpful, which allowed me to spend some time visiting the city instead of sitting outside with my suitcases. Ballifeary House is their home so I was very respectful of the their space, as were the other guests. It was peaceful, quiet, the room was large enough for 2 people and well appointed with what I needed for my stay. I would stay here again and recommend it for couples and single travelers, it is not for families with children or people with physical impairments that cannot go up steps. The city center is a short walk, about 8 minutes, from Ballifeary House and the hosts have information, maps, and anything you need to explore the area.

THIS WAS A LAST MINUETE BOOKING AND ITS A WEE TRESURE .ROOM LOVELY AND BIG EVERY THING YOU NCOULD ASK FOR INC CHOC SWEETIES AT BED SIDE .BEDS WERE PERFECT AND THE BREAKFAST FIRST CLASS MR AND MRS VERY FRINDLY IF BACK IN AREA I WILL BOOK AGAIN .HOUSE AND AREA PERFECT FOR BUSINESS OR COUPLES OR FAMILY. I absolutely loved this place. It was immaculate and the room has everything including some special extras. Breakfast was delicious and I was even able to have it early on my last day in order to make my train. Morag is an amazing host and I would definitely recommend this place.
