We went with 15 people to Cartagena to celebrate a large birthday. This hotel went above and beyond in every regard. They assisted us with travel, transportation, dinner reservations. The rooms are wonderful. Property is gorgeous, I ate breakfast daily. Martin the VIP host really made our trip easy and unforgettable. Thank you for everything!

The staff were accommodating and informative. The hotel has an old-world charm and the care of the facility was a top priority. The location of the hotel is central to many attractions and shops, which makes exploring easy. We would stay here again.

We loved staying in this boutique hotel inside the walls of Cartagena. The decor is colonial with all the modern amenities. Breakfast was very good. Martin and Cristian helped us make dinner reservations and a boat excursion to a beach property on the islands. They both were wonderful! Shopping and great restaurants were within walking distance. We absolutely would stay here again. Thank you for an amazing experience!

This is a quaint small hotel located in the walled city. The rooms are great but beware of the ones that are facing the street because Cartagena can be noisy at night. Super nice pool, perfect to cool down after all the walking around the city. The best part of this hotel? The people who work here are just wonderful! Friendly and always have a smile, a recommendation and sometimes a glass of cold wine before you head out to enjoy the night in Cartagena. Another wonderful thing is the breakfast! To die for… you will enjoy fresh fruits and juices. Yummy Colombian foods if you feel adventurous or pancakes and waffles if you are missing home. I want to thank Martin from reception and Juan Camilo from the hotel staff for making our stay wonderful.

Great location, excellent service. Room was well air conditioned which was great given how hot it was. Wonderful common areas, ie living room, dining room. Feels like a large house.

I had a very good experience with my stay at Casa de Coliseo. First when I arrived I was greeted by Christian checked us in and provided us with a map of Cartagena and suggestions for food, drinks, tourist attractions, money exchange etc. When he says “I’m here to serve you” he really is. I must have called him several times throughout the day and he was helpful and pleasant each time. Now the hotel is very safe and secure. Doors to the hotel have a camera and electric buzzer to be let in. Hotel is beautiful, the furniture and architecture throughout capture a very colonial feel with rustic touch. Everyday I would see staff cleaning everyday day keeping the hotel tidy and clean. Breakfast lounge and balcony are wonderful with good view of the busy streets. Breakfast was included with a good and fresh selection. I stayed in the standard room which wasn’t big but the bed was cozy and pillows were awesome (I had great deep sleep). Bathroom and shower was nice with hot water. Staff is very attentive, rooms were always clean when we stepped out and when we would go out for dinner beds were prepped for us to come in and get rest. Room had typical amenities. The location was also a plus cause everything was just a 1 -10 min walk. There is a pharmacy across the street just in case you need it. Lastly distance from hotel to airport is like 15-20 min. I highly recommend and would stay again.

We spent 4 nights at casa del Coliseo and when choosing several hotels´reviews I was amazed at how many good ones Casa del Coliseo had...Well, I must say that all those nice reviews were right. The hotel staff is amazing, service beyond my expectations, the room is very comfortable, breakfast really good. Excellent l´Occitane amenities in the bathroom. Cleanliness was exceptional. The hotel is very well located, within the walled city and there are very nice restaurants nearby... despite the neighborhood noise, I think the hotel did a very good job soundproofing the rooms even if we had a balcony right where to the "action" at night happens. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again..

This is quite literally the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was so kind and attentive, the rooms were gorgeous and cleaned multiple times daily. Truly a 10/10 experience, I would definitely stay here again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. I would’ve given 0 rating if I could. The place had bedbug, and the next morning we woke up there was about 100 bites on my wife’s face, hands and legs, that only happens if the room is super infested. Other than that, the whole hotel smelled really bad. The room was not clean, super small, and dark. Was not at all similar to the pictures. Our friends got a suite at a nice boutique hotel for the same price, but it was sold out so we ended up at this place with a terrible customer service. We didn’t see the manager the whole time, and couldn’t even talk to him on the phone. Our whole vacation was ruined because of bedbug, and we had to throw out lots of our stuff that was infected and was too risky to take back home, and they didn’t reimburse us for that.

Very nice hotel, stuff was amazing ! It was my befriend bday, I contacted them 2 hours prior arrival asking to get balloons, champagne and bday card in a room. They have done everything perfectly , very nice and helpful stuff. Good rooms, clean nice .

We would not stay here again despite the fact the staff and hotel were wonderful. The hotel is near a night club and we could not sleep at all. I know this is not the hotel’s fault, but the whole point of the hotel is to get some sleep. That’s why we would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Nos encanto nuestra estadía en casa de coliseo. Nos recibieron de manera muy formal y con fruit punch. La habitacion pequeña pero muy bien arreglada, con aire acondicionado y ventilador. Los desayunos fueron muy ricos, habia opcion de huevos o arepa de huevo o empanadas y mas, y todos venian con fruta, cafe y con pan. Muy inclusivo todo. Definitivamente voy a volver!
