We were visiting Glasgow for the weekend to celebrate our son's 21st birsthday. The hotel is made up of a series of stunning traditional Glaswegian style houses. Really friendly welcome at reception and we were shown to our bedrooms (we had booked 3). All really comfortable and ours (Madfish!) was very big. The L'Occitene bathroom products very nice and a full length bath.
We had booked the Whisky Snug for our private dinner for 10 people and the staff could not have helped more - great service with a smile. The standard of the food was incredible - coupled with some nice wines. One interesting point was that for the cheese plate, we were taking to select our cheese and given information by a knowledable cheese man!.
Breakfast the following morning was a choice of either buffet or a la carte - as good as the dinner!
Thank you to the team (and Jade who I organised everything with but did not meet!). We will definitely stay again

Ok but think needs a revamp

Being Glasgow natives we've always known one Devonshire Gardens as the name associated with luxury in the area. But when we stayed for a night for my wife's birthday the hotel had no trouble living up to that reputation. The room was spacious, spotless and relaxing. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, and breakfast was delicious, varied and unhurried.

Beautifully decorated hotel . Very traditional English decor through out. Beautiful
Paintings & Art everywhere. Huge room, living space & bathroom with tub & separate shower. Friendly check in & servers at restaurant & bar.
4.7
Parking is difficult - but overall it was a great hotel in walking distance to amenities.

We had a great stay! Everything was perfect, lovely staff, as well as stunning and spacious rooms.

No negatives about this hotel. Staff are very friendly, food is always great and rooms really comfortable.
Found the minibar was not overpriced which is unusual.
Can definitely recommend.

Always good to visit One Devonshire. Friendly staff, good rooms, great bar, good food, character building, in the West End of Glasgow. Always look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful interior, very helpful and welcoming staff.

Beautiful historic building with excellent service, food, & beverages. Upper rooms are quite a hike up stairs.

We loved this hotel's character! It feels like you step back in time but with modern amenities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. I do agree that there are some updates that would make it better. The parking is a bit difficult. We parked a short distance and it was free. The staff was incredible and kind. There is the best coffee shop just a few minutes walk and many restaurants within 15 minutes walking. Great stay overall!

Amazing service and hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel, very comfortable and clean

This hotel is lovely. Everything from the opulent staircases to the intentional placement of your bedside gift exudes class and sophistication. The only thing that outshines this historical beauty is the staff. From the cheeky but charming concierge to the adorably nervous wait staff we enjoy every bit of our stay.
Thank you!

The Hotel du Vin was a lovely and well cared for place. The staff was very helpful, going above and beyond for a last-minute room change and a lot of questions from first-time visitors. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The whole experience was excellent and exquisite. The staff from reception, restaurant, etc., were above and beyond good customer service. What a jewel, what a refreshing stay. Serious excellence.

It was a stellar location and the hotel was stunning in every way. Our room was very spacious and well equipped. We especially appreciated the welcoming attention of Skye and Scott, and enjoyed two evenings with drinks and dinner in the bar--very gracious service by Robert. Thank you all for helping make our stay in Glasgow so enjoyable: the finale of our two-week holiday in Scotland.

It’s a lovely hotel in the West End - very quiet with a few nice restaurants within walking distance. We opted for an upgraded suite that was large and very comfortable.

This isn't the first time that I have stayed at Hotel du Vin which should tell you something.
A very comfortable hotel with excellent rooms all of which are individual and different from each other. The beds are superb and with the addition of a really deep bath it makes for a great base in Glasgow's West End.
4.7
The staff were great, and facilitated a birthday request. The suite was also very tidy. Would stay again.

Very lovely building in a beautiful area of Glasgow. Quite a walk to shops/ restaurants etc.
our room was beautifully furnished and huge, with a palatial bathroom!
We didn’t have dinner, but breakfast was very underwhelming. A dark room with no atmosphere, everyone whispering. We didn’t want anything hot, so chose continental. The buffet was practically bare even though there was 30mins of service to go. Small slices of thin rubbery cheese, piled with meat slices so not ideal for vegetarians.
All in all, a lovely hotel though.

Absolutley outstanding location, service and room close to Byres Rd. Will definitley be back!

It is so sad to see this once great hotel looking so tired. Maybe because we booked a last minute room we were given a room that was a poor standard, but given it is advertised as a high end luxury hotel, all rooms should have a degree of quality and cleanliness?
First room we were given was in the basement, it was very clean and well appointed, but next to reception and the cigar/drinks garden, it was so noisy you could hear every conversation outside and all the commotion of a busy reception on the inside.
The second room we were given was much quieter on the next level, it did have a very comfortable large bed, but the room was tired, particularly the bathroom, which was in poor condition. The rest of the room was large and spacious, but it was very dusty, the headboard by the bed had a layer of hair and dust on it, the furniture was also dusty, and the windows were dirty with paint flaking off.
Such a shame given the amazing location, stunning architecture and grandeur of the building.
Staff were great and accommodating, very helpful. The changed the first room immediately, I think they were used to the noise complaints. I didn't moan about the second room, just wanted to get out and enjoy the wonderful west end of Glasgow, the bed was very comfy and I could live with the dust and the old bathroom.

This is a lovely property in the west end - quiet street large rooms - lots of old world charms with stain glass windows and dark leather couches- the place is filled with slow moving we’re rich folks on vacation many with all their well trained pure breed doggies. There’s really only one restaurant bar near by 1051 GWR - 5 minute walk - other than that you’re a 15 plus minute walk or a cab ride to other options. I would avoid the breakfast in the hotel - absurdly over priced - I made that mistake and paid 130 USD for my wife and I for 2 breakfasts -l pub is equally expensive. Room was nice bed comfortable and staff was mostly helpful but a bit too formal for my taste.

Very spacious, comfortable room. Loved the architecture and decorations. Safe, walkable neighborhood for after dinner strolls. The food is amazing. Had both breakfast and dinner, butternut squash risotto was out of this world.
